Reviews For Exquisite Irony

I'm confused....I thought Draco gave her her first orgasm the night they got married. was that just a dream with Harry?? or did it actually happen before he was killed? I love this story, great work!

Author's Response: Ahhh well that is a very good question... Perhaps her mind is projecting her experiences onto her relationship with Harry.... Perhaps not.... Maybe the way I worded the wedding night scene is crucial here...

I just finished reading the last chapter last night, and I am extremely glad that you updated it! Whee! I hope Draco doesn't go and find himself a mistress :(.

I'm thrilled to see a new chapter from you! I was sure you had abandoned this story, but I'm happy to be proven wrong. I'm not so happy that Draco is in a snit, though. I guess it was inevitable, however, knowing Draco. :) Anyway, thanks for the update, and I will look forward to the next one whenever you have the time to write it!

It bears repeating. EI is the best D&G story that I've ever read, and certainly a classic in my eyes. It has so many different facets to it. What makes this story for me is the developing relationship between Gin and the Malfoy's particularly Draco. She went from loathing him, to tolerating him, to appreciating him and eventually though she hasn't made the leap yet and voicing it but loving him as well. I hope they both make their declarations known wholeheartedly and not just in the heat of the moment as Draco did previously. As for Lucius, I hope he gets through to Draco, they shouldn't be going backwards in their building relationship but rather forward. Though, I can see why Draco would be upset that his wife though in her sleep may have called out his greatest enemy to date name. It's a bit disheartening. Hopefully they'll work it out in the end.

As for Bella, she is a trip. She should be grateful that Voldie was lenient he could have killed her, but I suspect he adores that she's quite insane/unbalanced and has a penchant for praising him relentlessly. He probably enjoys the admiration. GJ, Myanceris I am so happy you updated, this story. And, no apologies needed regarding updating this story frequently, any little bit of time you do have to update, I appreciate it. Thanks, again. :)

Coming back to read this again, I happened to read through your recent (as in the past year) responses to reviews and just have to say that you have absolutely nothing to be embarrassed and/or ashamed about when it comes to your writing or this story. You are amazingly talented, lady, and there's a reason goobers like me can't get enough of this particular love story. I really can't believe you wrote this in your teens! Exquisite Irony may not fill you with as much pride as some of your other stories, but you really did something special in writing this and I just wanted to thank you for putting it out there even if it's never finished. I hope real life is going great and as for some of the corrections brought up -- don't sweat the small stuff if you ever return to finish this. I'm a L&D nurse and didn't notice any glaring issues. Good luck with everything!

I've reread this stories so many times, that I'm able to recite the words for each chapter. Still, loving it.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Make Lucien strawberry blonde! I don't like red hair on boys. As a redhead myself, I dread having sons with my hair...

I am so deeply saddened that you aren't finishing this story. It deserves to be resloved. It is better than most books I buy. I so love your work, and this story was touching, sweet and beautiful...

Author's Response: Oh I don't know about NEVER, I just don't have the time right now - my career is taking over my life and I never get time to write anymore. I won't say I'll never finish this because I am fond of the majority of this story, but for the time being it's on indeterminate hiatus.

This story is freakin AMAZING! You have such an ability to write things realistically! I swear, when Ginny's boob hurt, mine did! =O And the birth! I felt like I was in labor too! WOW I am so impressed by your writing skills! Absolutely CANNOT WAIT for more... but reading further down I realize that you have a ton going on in your life so I will just add this to my *favorites*. Hopefully one day I will get that email saying that you've updated! Also, I gave birth and breastfed and i didn't see anything that was glaringly innacurate at all. And my daughter was born with gray eyes (that turned blue... go figure) So I wouldn't rush to read those links below! ;) OK, I'm off to find your livejournal to read Chapter 18! =D Good Luck!

Alright then, I did a search on the internet for you:
http://www.soundmedicine.iu.edu/archive/2003/mystery/eyeColor.html deals with the newborn eyecolor.
The breast feeding thing: http://www.breastfeedingbasics.com/html/establishing.shtml this is a long page, search for "engorgement", and read on from there. I gave birth to and breastfed 3 children myself, and therefore speak from personal experience. But the articles will show you the info too.

Also, I thought you'd appreciate some corrections (I believe I read somewhere that you liked those). I did realize that, reading that particular section of the story, you must not have given birth yourself.

But I have really enjoyed the story, it's generally well-written, and of course fanfic doesn't have to be completely accurate. It doesn't matter to me, just trying to be helpful. Thanks!

Author's Response: Thank you for your subsequent review and for the reference links (which I may eventually get around to reading when my PGCE year is over :-S ). I appreciate the reference links because as quoted in my response, another reviewer was most adament that she was right in her assertion re: speed in England, despite having no idea what she was talking about. Similar, I would assume, to me presuming to be the authority on breastfeeding. Which of course I'm not. As I say, I have never had a baby, nor is it looking likely that I shall ever be capable of having a child myself, and this chapter was written a good long time ago (I forget, 2001 ish? Perhaps?) 7 years ago I was in my late teens and my liberality with fact is unsurprising. If you want the honest truth, I am very busy with my career (am training as a Science Teacher) and fanfic writing has not just taken a back seat, but it's out of the car altogether. This story has been going so long I've lost sight of why and how it started and I am beginning to heartily wish I had never become involved with a project like this.rnrnRe: Corrections. Thank you, I do appreciate them, and I appreciate the detail and subsequent effort you have gone to with this response, however it must be said - I am beginning to no longer care about this story. It was written when I was in my mid-late teens when writing was something I did for pleasure and diversion. Sadly I no longer have the time. I have always maintained that I will never abandon this story, and that may or may not be the case, but as a person I have matured and moved away from this work. Reading back through some of my chapters I CRINGE at what I have written (the wedding night scene being the most prevailant example of this), and similarly I am more well informed now about certain aspects (such as birth, and your more recent discussion of Breast feeding) and I KNOW my writing is hopelessly inaccurate and it embarrasses me endlessly. So perhaps that might explain my previous response - do not think I do not appreciate your feedback because I do - I am just embarrassed by it, because I now KNOW that my writing is terrible, but lack the time and inclination to do anything about it. But I am glad you find my work enjoyable. Perhaps I may find time to work on more one-shot drabbles - am still proud of 'Tomorrow' and 'Merry Christmas Draco' as being better examples of such. So again, thank you for your review and this information. It is much appreciated.
