During the war, Draco and Ginny are hiding together in a small cottage in the Cotswolds. They could both use a little cheer and comfort, and maybe some romance. A Secret Santa gift for writerdragonfly.Category: Completed Short Stories

He smiled then, so abruptly that Ginny thought it must be genuine. How he must have looked as a child on Christmas morning, waking to a mountain of presents. Her heart ached. The Malfoys must have had their moments; otherwise, he could not be so sad now. Like she was. The sadness was palpable, and she was tired of it. For one night, they would be as merry as if they were secluded here by choice.
She’d never asked why he was here with her or why he hadn’t handed her over to the Dark Lord when he had the chance. It was oddly noble and yet she couldn’t think he’d done it for noble reasons. She couldn’t bear it if he had. Too many people she knew had done the noble thing and died for it. Give her a selfish reason any day.
A delightful little Christmas tale :-) i love stories when they are both so enamored with each other and tentatively changing their interactions/relationship.

What a wonderful story! It was exciting, sorrowful, optimistic, and so much more :-) i absolutely loved reading each chapter and am indescribably pleased that everything worked out so well! excellent characterization of Luna's dad, and whole family too!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Silvryn! I'm really excited to hear that you enjoyed my story; it means a lot to me. And you pointed out two of the things that I was most insecure about: the ending and Xenophilius' characterisation. I know it's not exactly a canonical Drinny ending, but I like to think that something linked them to one other forever during this trip, even if it's not romantic love. And I always feel rather inadequate when it's up to write the Lovegoods (they're so crazy, every time I think I'm going over the top with them!), but I'm glad Xenophilius and the others worked for you. Thank you again. You made my day!
It’s been just over ten years since the Battle of Hogwarts. Society has moved on but not in the utopic way everyone assumed it would. For Ginny Weasley, however, everything is going great until a season-ending fall derails her Quidditch career and forces her to reevaluate her life. It also forces her to realize that there’s more to Draco Malfoy than she ever thought—something Luna has been telling her for the past six years… This is what happens when Slytherins find themselves filling the roles of Gryffindors, Ravenclaws rule the art world, and Weasleys are unable to use magic—or at least, one Weasley can’t.Category: Works in Progress
Oh, how lovely! Their romantic interactions give me butterflies just reading about it :-D and Luna's creatures this time... "believe" ?
Ohhhhh man! What's the awful reveal going to be?!

Well, well, well... he was bound to muck up eventually! Can't wait to see what he comes up with :-)
Author's Response: Yes, he couldn't get it even remotely right on this day. He's in big trouble....hopefully he'll dig deep and come up with something to help. Thank you for taking the time to leave me a note, always makes my day!
Ohhh man... wonder what's next!
Author's Response: DUM DUM DUM! Well, I submitted the last chapter today so you'll find out very soon on a computer near you!
There are three things Ginny Weasley doesn't know: One, that the anonymous pen pal she has grown to love over the past year is, in fact, Draco Malfoy. Two, Draco knows exactly who she is. And three, Draco loves her, too.Category: Long and Completed
Oooh! Romantic angst - so touching :-) can't wait to see what develops from here!

the thaw and then... the slow burn, whahaha! i do so love their love, particularly when it's raw and new and unexplored - confusing and intoxicating, compelling them to step outside their boundaries.
Author's Response: Oooh, the slow burn! That's awesome! You should totally write that sequel. ;) *happy sigh* I love that aspect of their relationship, too. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story!
He hasn't seen his wife for weeks now. It's Christmas, so it's about time he did... One-shot Created for DG Forum's 2016 Secret Santa Exchange.Category: Completed Short Stories
A sad story, but still winds up being optimistic for their future. Overall quite nice - especially because kittens are always a wonderful addition to a tale, lol.
Author's Response: Haha. I unfortunately can not take credit for Ara. That was all Anise and her prompt. Fortunately, at the time I received her prompt a friend of mine had just had an addition of her own baby kitten to her family and had been telling me all the cute stories and sending me videos, that it was not hard to be excited to write about a kitten. You're definitely right though, kittens are great in any tale, and Ara brings a lovely warmth to this one. I don't think the story would be a sweet and optimistic without him.
Five months ago, Harry defeated Voldemort, but tensions are still running high at Hogwarts between Slytherin House and the other students. Ginny Weasley views the Slytherins as the enemy, but when Draco Malfoy returns to school, she is forced to see things from a new perspective.Category: Long and Completed
Probably one of the best and most accurate stories about what it would actually be like going back to Hogwarts after everything - for all the kids. Thanks for the fabulous read :-D
Good enough for me too :-) realistically they'd be so damn good for each other!
Draco and Ginny are the perfect Auror team. There isn't a case they can't solve, until the murder of Pansy Parkinson. With time on the side of their killer, and Ginny as his final conquest, they have to hope they'll be able to stop the murderer in time.Category: Works in Progress
For the life of her, Ginny Weasley did not know how this had happened. She could have blamed the two glasses of expensive champagne, or considered the possibility of being put under the Imperius Curse, but she knew deep down that that was not the case. Somehow, she had knowingly and wilfully ended up here. Shit.Category: Works in Progress
Three days of reading and I've finally gotten from start to current! Of course I read most of this before but I always like to do a complete reread when updates come out :-) ohhhh Merlin and Morgana, poor Draco! He's heaped all the troubles of the world on his own shoulders like a damn noble fool, yet what else could he do? Potter martyrs himself in one way, Draco in yet another - and Ginny, feisty fiery fabulous Ginny, I am excited to see how she works her magic to try and keep Draco whole!
All caught up after my reread of the story and just as enthralled this time around! Your characterisation of everyone feels so authentic and plausible (much moreso than the epilogue or play).
Author's Response: Wow thank you so much! I really appreciate your review! Hope you'll keep on reading! <3

Malfoy was curious. Curious and angry. “So, what do you want from me, Weasley?”
It was the admission of his defeat. Ginny felt the taste of victory - and it was bitter.
“I want influence. I want protection. I want safety.” She stopped, giving him time to assimilate her words, before she played her final card. "I want your name. " When saying the last sentence, however, she could not help the blush that spread across her face.
Malfoy's countenance changed several times in a very short time. Annoyance turned into wariness, then into confusion, and finally, when he really understood what Ginny had implied, his face showed only a profound horror.
I want your name.
I want a marriage.
Oh goodness things sure are heating up! And...he saved her! Conjured a patronus and bloody saved her! So good!
Author's Response: They sure are! Now they need to fix this mess!
haha I could not resist the cliche! Boy saving the girl.
I suppose now the girl must save the boy, dont you think?
Thank you for commenting, dear, it means the world to me! See you soon!
Oh goodness things sure are heating up! And...he saved her! Conjured a patronus and bloody saved her! So good!
Ooooh getting to the good stuff! Liked her encounter with Narcissa too!
Author's Response: Hohoho, good stuff indeed! I promise you the next one will be full of GOOD things if you know what I mean!
Thank you for commenting. It was very kind of you.
See ya soon, baby
Dark! Draco is always so much more fun - and bold Ginny is the best! Their interaction at the end here was especially enjoyable.
Author's Response: Oh my dear! I always have a lot of fun writing Draco, that's for sure. I hope you can keep enjoying reading him as much as I enjoy writing him.
Ginny will keep being bold, I promise you haha
Thank you for your words and your constancy in this story. It's very kind.
See ya very soon. The next one is coming, babe!

“I can think of ways to make this farce a little more interesting for all of us.” Ginny said with a note of defiance in her voice.
Malfoy, for his part, raised an eyebrow, the only sign that could be interpreted as curiosity - and maybe as a bit of a challenge. “One would think that you aren’t in a position to do anything, Weasley."
“You would be surprised." Ginny smiled at him. It was a cat-like smile that she hoped he would recognize it for what it was - a warning. She was Ginny Weasley and no one would take advantage of her, whatever her physical condition was. "Would you like to dance?"
Then she offered her hand to him in a silent invitation.
It was as if time itself had stopped.
I know this is just a two part story but it'd be fun to further explore this world opening up between them in the future! I've enjoyed the characterization - it's a more brittle, more lost, more caustic version of both which seems more realistic than the way the books really ended for them.
Ginny is tired of being the only single Weasley at family gatherings and all the pity that comes with that status. Draco could do without opportunistic women taking advantage of his desire to connect. The solution? Team up to become platonic dates during the holidays.Category: Works in ProgressIf only their hearts could stick to the plan....
CHAPTER ELEVEN SNIPPET:
When Ginny finally came downstairs, her eyes were bright and red-rimmed with happy tears. Her teammates and friends swarmed her again, congratulating her on becoming an auntie once more. She thanked everyone profusely, but her attention was clearly divided. Her eyes kept drifting toward Draco as if to make sure he stayed put until she could reach him.
And when she was finally free from the well-wishers and standing in front of him once more, it took all of Draco’s control not to pull her toward him and kiss her. That look on her face, the relief and elation—he never wanted to see it leave. He realized then that there was little Draco wouldn’t do to spare her from misery, like the kind she’d experienced over the summer when she’d been bashed in the press.
The realization frightened him enough to flee, but he couldn’t. She was here. As much as he wished to escape his feelings, he also couldn’t deny himself the opportunity to be around her.
Ahhh what an emotional chapter!
Author's Response: Yes, it sure was! Quite a rollercoaster. Thank you for reading!
