I find this chapter a bit steamier than the previous ones since Draco actually did something in real life compared to it only being in Ginny's flashbacks/fantasies, and I like it! I'm waiting for Draco to just snap and lose control. Yum, yum, yum!! *evil cackle*
I'm a bit on edge as to why Ginny is feeling odd though. Could it possibly be one of Theo's schemes? Or could it really just be the unbearable tension between Draco and her. Ooohh, I'm loving this so much.

They're just... okay, I work with 3D art, and the characters are built to be as realistic as possible. This means that they're... how to put it... anatomically correct. Extremely so. The way you see Draco being described here? That's just the way he is in the art. And that's ALL I'm going to say right now... (runs and hides)

Expecto Patronum!! Oooh, I just knew they'll be learning that spell as the story progressed! Wonder how the Weasleys and Harry will react once they come face to face with Ginny. That Howler is one thing but what will happen when Ginny tells them the articles are not true! ...but also true in some parts. Like the part of her liking Draco. Haha!
Loved that D/G moment at the end. Draco opening up to her about his past and even letting her not only see his Dark Mark, but also letting her touch it, just warmed my heart and made me go "aaaaww!". Splendid work once again!

Yas!! Patronuses! How I love Patronuses!! All of them sound lovely, I wish I could cast one and I wonder what form it will take.
They got the team back together! Hooray! But injuries are everywhere. Smh. No one died though, so now we're off to get everyone stitched up.
P.S. One question: On their way to the room where the prisoners were, how did they move through all the Dementors without casting a single Patronus? I thought a Patronus is the only thing that could ward off Dementors from sucking away like they always do around people.
Author's Response: Great question! And I love Patronuses too. If my Patronus weren't either a fox or a dragon, I would be very sad, lol.
At some point in the books, Sirius or someone mentions that Death Eaters can't cast Patronuses -- and don't need them, because Dementors are their natural allies. It's never explained what exactly Death Eaters do to keep Dementors from preying on them, so I made my best guess, and tried to show Draco thinking back to his instructions to illustrate that guess. Hence also his reveal of his Dark Mark for good measure.
Anyway, that whole rambling mess to say that I wanted to give Death Eaters some way other than Patronuses to deal with Dementors. A way that Theo and Draco would both know, even if it didn't work perfectly.
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I just previously said I simply adore Patronuses and then you went ahead and made Draco and Ginny's an exact representation of who they are as individuals and as a couple. A Hippogriff! I was laughing so hard while reading that part! Plus the end notes explaining further was so enlightening and it makes total sense to me. Great writing as always! This is probably one of my fave chapters. x

Draco and Ginny work so well together! When he woke her up and she didn't even ask mundane questions and just went into "Auror mode". When Draco was peeking outside the closet and Ginny was sending her Patronus. Ginny placing a Disillusionment spell on Draco and his tapping her leg as a message. Then there's all that Apparating! Ooohh, it's just so intoxicating to read.
Narcissa's message to Draco got me laughing like mad! Panicked and frightened yet still so poised and elegant. She even reprimaded Draco. What a very "mom" move. Haha!
Poor, darling Blaise is not injured (at least I hope so) this time but captured. And Goyle is just doing so well but then he was captured, too. Why, oh why are they going to such lengths to kill Ginny? *sigh*

One thing though, Astoria is the one with long hair who doesn't speak much, right? And Daphne's the one who's shorter? I had to go back and read their introductions since Astoria's so silent I almost forget she's there. Haha!
Author's Response: Battle scenes are terrifyingly hard to write. I posted this thinking the action was tolerably boring, so that's fantastic to hear. XD I'm so glad you like Ginny, Draco, and Blaise! ...Blaise is just too fun to keep out of any story. Yeah, you got it right. I made the...um...lovely decision to give squads 10 members, and then gave myself endless headaches trying to introduce them in a non-overwhelming way. Tried to solve that by introducing Daphne and Astoria as "Daphne" and "the other girl". Haha oh well. I tried. XD
Of course!! Of course Ginny makes one hell of a cup of tea!! I wouldn't expect anything less. And I expect Draco to ask for more of it! Lol.
