Ginny Weasley is absolutely sure that Draco Malfoy is hatching a particularly evil plot as junior head of the Ministry Department of Culture, and that it definitely involves puppy-strangling, bribing officials, and consistently wearing trousers tailored very tight in back. Or at least it's a theory that makes sense when she's been surviving on two hours of sleep a night for far too long, and Draco keeps vetoing her sketches for the new marble statues at the Ministry fountain. From the beginning Ive been assuming that Ginny IS Marie (vs. the marie-france we know from your other stories) and there's some time travel going on here. the fact that ginny can talk to the photograph supports this, along with the dream. Also, despite the fact that he always cares for marie-france in your other stories, he's never loved her before (or anyone other than ginny.) And your summary of the story hints pretty clearly toward this.
Im just waiting and waiting for the time travel and hope we get to prostitute!Ginny popping draco's cherry. But i think before this, she's gotta lose her vcard to the older draco first.

Im a bit upset with Draco. At first I thought he was twisting his truth to make it sound bad (since saying he realizes she's not some object to purify him is really a good thing when you think about it) but then he says "you're no better than marie" and "i dont need you now." There's really no way that those statements can be secretively positive.
Author's Response: I was upset with Draco too! (Oh, I know... I'm just the author... I shouldn't get so involved... ;) And I think that he just cannot let go of his misconceptions about Ginny yet. But, without giving too much away, he realized that (from his POV, at least), he HAD to cut everything off with Ginny now. There are some clues in that scene during the D/G exchange that I'm not sure if anyone caught. Will it stay that way? Oh, come on, what do y'all really think about that... ;)

“We certainly have,” said Draco, giving her one of his real smiles, the sort she’d never imagined his face could possibly form in those days. She tried not to smile in return. She wanted to remain as serious as possible.

Author's Response: Well... the thing about HC and MiB is that KC is now going to be the continuation of TBBC. (That was a lot of acronyms...) Anyway,that's how I'm editing KC. I guess I probably won't actually take any of the fics down. The incomplete ones will still be here IF they're probably not going to be completed at all... (sorry...) It's not exactly IMPOSSIBLE that JotH could get completed someday-- but it's more likely to happen if I'm ever put under house arrest (for crimes I didn't commit!!) and I just don't have anything else to do.
Does this mean I should archive Heavenly Creatures (Will you be taking it down?) For that matter, should I save The Bat Boogeys Cometh, as I think it is perfect as is?

Author's Response: If anything gets changed in TBBC, it will be SO minor. It was written before HBP, so I might add Dumbledore hinting at knowing that the original plan was for Draco to do what he actually did during his sixth year. In this universe, though, Voldy decided not to give that job to Draco because he really didn't trust that he could/would do it. And I actually think that IF Voldy had wanted Draco to kill Dumbledore more than he wanted to humiliate Lucius, then he probably would have ended up deciding that Draco was too likely to refuse at the crucial moment-- which is obviously what happened in HBP.
Anyway... okay, I'll put MiB on the list! It's at the bottom, I have to be honest. But it's on there. :)
