I love the plot; it's very original. The fears that both Ginny and Draco have are expressed very well. I like how you are unravelling the story slowly, with a flash-back here and a dream sequence there. It keeps me hooked, as I am very curious about what deeds they committed when being trained by Greyback and how they were drawn to each other.

I like how you've worked with the werewolf abilities, making it so that Draco and Ginny can half-transform to their wolf forms. I absolutely love werewolf / wolf stories, but it's been a while since I've come across one. The dynamic in a wolf pack mixed with human feelings and emotions is intriguing and it's great to see some of that in this story.

I can't wait for the next chapter. I hope you update soon!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the wonderful review! I\'m so glad that the flashbacks and dreams aren\'t confusing. I felt that utilizing both would move the story forward without bogging it down. \r\n\r\nHee! I love all things that go bump in the night- vamps and were\'s particularly- so I wanted to bring a bit of understanding of werewolves as I see them. ((On a side note do you read Laurell K. Hamilton or Sherrilyn Kenyon\'s Dark- Hunter series...if not I highly rec both!))\r\n\r\nI\'ll update as soon as I can, but with the Winter holidays coming up quickly, I\'m making no promises as to when.\r\n\r\nThanks again!

Aw, yay he's back!! That part where Ginny asks Draco to name his elder sister was heart-wrenching and when Ginny introduced Draco to his youngest child, the flow of emotion between the two characters easily spilled off the page and to the reader.

Aw, that was a lovely memory. Although it was rather odd having Ginny spout compliments to ex-Slytherins, the rest was fun to read. Zabini's final comment of "You smell good too." had me laughing, as did Draco's nonchalant “My mistake.”

Author's Response: Thanks! I think I rather liked writing that chapter, as I love making Draco act snarky :D

‘Unless, of course, they happen to be one and the same…’ Heh, Draco just can't go and tell someone he likes them, but has to circumvent it all.

I'm confused as to why Narcissa would be living in a run-down area if Draco is so wealthy.

How could Draco not realise that he was hurting Laurie by refusing to explain his absence? Thankfully, with Ginny's mediation, father and son were able to calm down and share a more proper reunion. So Fred and George created a cure for Narcissa; but what was the disease in the first place? I'm rather curious.

What?!?!
“Ours. Mine and Ginny’s.”
Totally not what I was expecting. I've got to go and read the next chapter...

"[T]he olive branch he was about to offer was costing him." Aw! Poor Draco. That must've been an extremely trying couple of hours for him.

Author's Response: No kidding. The poor man can\'t catch a break ;)

Now that I've read all the posted chapters, I'm impatient for more. The dynamics between the characters is especially interesting.

I laughed aloud when I read Moira's comment: “You’re looking very young today, Grandfather.” And Naima's reaction was heart-warming. Draco's punishments for children seem rather harsh, though. It's probably due to Lucius being hard on him as a child, but it's rather unsettling. In any case, Draco has been extremely understanding, considering the circumstances. Very few people would take that kind of news as well as Draco did. I shall be looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you! I\'ve really been trying to separate the characters by personality, so it\'s great that somebody noticed :D Yes, Draco is a bit harsh, but he really does love his kids, as is going to be evidenced later on.

What a great chapter. The reactions of the children are very well expressed. They're very realistic, too.

Laurie is clearly very attached to Draco, asking about his father's whereabouts when he was away and promising his mum that he'd take on his dad's responsibilities with the younger children, and seeing his mum invite Harry Potter into their home must be extremely hard for him. It must seem like she's trying to replace Draco with Harry.

Poor Draco; he's having as much of a hard time with the situation as Laurie, but he'll keep it all in, if only to make Ginny happy.

I can't wait for more.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I have so much trouble with age-appropriate reactions, I\'m glad you thought they were good :)

Ouch, poor Draco, to have to see his wife so happy with another man in that Pensieve. It must be eating away at him.
The Penseive scene was written very well, though. I can't help but notice that you didn't show Draco and the current Ginny's reactions to seeing the memory. Hopefully that can be explored in the next chapter.

I like the part where Draco lays down the rules for Harry's stay at the Manor. Both Harry and Ginny's reactions are realistic; Draco is afraid Ginny will fall back in love with Harry while he himself is not present.

Draco's interaction with Aiden was interesting. It's good that Draco isn't letting his feelings about the situation in general be let out against the boy.

Author's Response: Thank you! I totally let myself go into dreamland with the Pensieve scene and be all wishy-washy :D\r\n\r\nGood, I\'m glad they were realistic! Draco\'s such a good guy for letting them come there, and Ginny\'s all \"WTF?\" when he tries to lay down rules. It\'s crazy :)\r\n\r\nI think Draco sees Aidan as an innocent bystander to the whole situation, and so is making an effort toward him. I\'m very proud of Draco, but I\'m starting to hate my Ginny, so I think I might have to change her up a bit, or have Draco do something... I don\'t know.

It was great to read more of this story; I was only disappointed that there wasn't more of it!

In any case, the Remus - Aiden moment was very well handled; I like how Remus didn't sugar-coat anything. Also, I liked that introductory part about how the kids are settling in with Aiden now a part of their "family". It was sweet. I hope that there will be some more of Draco soon! Some D/G interaction would be lovely to see, especially in these highly strained circumstances.

Author's Response: Thanks! See, I have major relationship issues, so therin lies the problem with trying to write DG interaction. I have no idea what people would realistically do in those circumstances! :D

Lol! Brilliant!

I greatly enjoyed the ranting Ginny. *giggles* I needed a good laugh and this chapter was just the ticket. :)

I can't wait for another update! I'll be impatiently waiting for the next chapter. ;)

Author's Response: Good, I'm glad you liked it! I had planned for it to just be a boring set-up for the date answer, but then I got really into it :D Fear not, I've already worked on it a little (which doesn't usually happen until the day I post it), so hopefully it won't be another month!

Cool, a new update! I'm glad this story hasn't been abandoned. I just *loved* the argument between Ginny and Ron. It was very amusing and they were both so perfectly in character.

I can't wait to read more of this story. Hope you update soon!

Author's Response: Yeah, this story is about as close to being abandoned as it possibly can get without ACTUALLY being abandoned, seeing as I haven't updated in a really long time. I'm glad you loved the argument; I always get worried when I get too much anger going that I'm going to lose the essence of the character.

Wow. This is a very well-written story. The ending was much more different than I had expected it to be. I wonder that Ginny is able to suddenly break off what she has with Draco, especially since she now has a greater 'claim' on him due to being pregnant with his child. She's been feeling guilt for months, how come it is now that she breaks things off?

Other than that, I really liked the style of the story. Ginny's point of view was just the right combination of narrative and dialogue. Kudos for making me like Lavender (someone who I didn't really hold high esteem for in the books) so much so that I disliked Ginny's cheating with Lavender's boyfriend, even if it is our beloved D/G ship.

All in all, a great fic!

Reading this story again, for probably the 5th or sixth time, I noticed a slight error.

I see that you changed the last few references of Ginny's name to Ginevra, but earlier on, when Draco comes across her grave, the gravestone says 'Virginia'. Maybe you'd want to change this?

Just to say, I love coming back to read this story. It's a touching tale, no matter how bitter the tragedy.

Author's Response: That was intentionally done. See, the Muggles would never let a witch be buried in \'their\' land, so Ron made it seem like she was a Muggle. Since \'Ginevra Weasley\' is definitely not a Muggle name, Ron changed it to \'Virginia Wesley\' so she could be properly buried. That\'s why Draco\'s so upset, but at the end, the Firewhisky\'s magic changes it back to Ginevra Weasley! So everything\'s okay.\r\n\r\nThank you for reading!

Oh what an eventful chapter! Draco and Ginny finally kiss and then in the space of a few minutes he's frantically trying to find her while she's gorging on a tub of ice-cream for comfort miles away. Draco's got some serious explaining to do! Can't wait for the next chapter, to see whether Ginny will slam the door on Draco's face or give him a chance to speak and grovel for forgiveness. *grins*

I hope chapter 7 will be up soon!

Heart-wrenching. I'm crying right now; this is a very touching story. When I read Katherine's second wish, I could feel my heart shattering. For a young life full of promise to be cut short is unbearably upsetting. No parent should ever have to bury their child. I thank you for posting such a moving story. I know that it must have been difficult to do so. My thoughts are with Danielle Elizabeth and her family and to all who have been in such a situation.

Author's Response: Thank you for your review.

And another Horcrux has been recovered. I love the way you describe every little detail of the heists; Ginny's reasons for choosing the methods and spells she does and how forceful those visions from Tom can be. I eagerly await the next chapter and hope that the Draco-Ginny meeting will occur soon.

Y'know, I literally squee'd when I saw that this story had been updated. The characterisation is brilliant. Dumbledore's disappointment, Moody's frustration and above all Ginny's overview of the whole story. Her musings at the beginning build up the sense of restlessness that she feels at not being able to get anywhere with the Horcrux. It's almost palpable.

I think that maybe if the sentences in the long musing paragraphs were shorter it would make the writing flow a bit more. e.g. the line Realistically, however, she knew that there was no way that they had managed to get through the complicated and complex web of shields and spells that had been cast on the desk both by the young Dark wizard that had defiled it, and the powerful witch that had originally owned it. But then that's just my personal opinion.

I thought that Ginny's oath was a very interesting and unique way for her to get Gryffindor's sword. I love the metaphor of Godric and Rowena facing each other in a battle of wills, with Ravenclaw finally losing.
Magic clashed and fought, one Fonder against another, then an instant's silence passed, as though Godric and Rowena were locked in a mute staring contest.
Rowena looked away first.

Beautiful.

I shall be eagerly anticipating the next chapter - yay! almost reached the D/G! - I can't wait. :)

Yay, D/G coming up! :)

I particularly liked all of the back story about how the pensieve can be used in some situations, but is useless in others. Looks like you've put a lot of thought into it.

Heh, I liked the part at the end when Dumbledore merely has to raise a hand for Moody's angry tirade to cease. The characters are just as I would imagine them to be.

This update made my day. I squeed when I saw that you'd updated. :)

Finally, Draco and Ginny meet. And you manage to do that in style, too. The disbelief, scepticism and then wary acceptance that Draco goes through was well described.

And now Ginny and Draco, together in his room... *daydreams* lol! Okay, so maybe what I'm thinking about isn't all that likely to happen soon, but any D/G banter is very welcome. I hope to see the next chapter up soon. :)

Hehe, an interesting start. I like the quick-witted Ginny that susses out Draco's motives in a heartbeat; Ginny's exposure to the twins has most definitely made her sharp and ready to retort.

I love how Draco starts off with that almost-homage to many D/G fics. ""Would you believe, I was struck by your flame-haired beauty and loved you from afar..." It had me laughing. :D

Just a question; how would Draco know anything about dry cleaning? It seems rather out of character for him. Maybe a 'you can't afford a replacement' or something along those lines would be better suited? Just a suggestion. *shrugs*.

What really happened in the DH Epilogue of Doom. Poor, poor Harry, so very clueless...

Chapter SIXTY-NINE quote of the day:

Ginny scowled at him. “You don’t know me very well.”

Draco shook his head, his eyes more sorrowful than ever. “No. I don’t. Eternity wouldn’t be long enough for that.”

“Why do I feel as if we’ve suddenly wandered into the set of a men’s cologne commercial?” complained Lucifer.

“Can’t you keep your damn mouth shut, Lucifer?” spat Draco.

“Please… really… I don’t think you should talk to him that way,” whispered Ginny.

The build up to the end of the chapter was magnificent; Ginny's anger and disbelief at Draco's true nature building momentum as she ranted, but then stopping short at Draco's 'transfomation' was beautiful. I love how you described Draco's shedding of his mortal form. It was breath-taking.

Can't wait for the next chapter.

Oh my goodness. I'm on tenterhooks! Ginny's picturesque, almost perfect family life with Draco is about to come crashing down around her, I think. There are just *so* many questions rushing about my head; why did Draco lie about Narcissa being at St. Mungo's? Was it because he needed an excuse to visit Ginny daily without it seeming stalker-ish? Because he did mention that he'd wanted to be with her since he was a teenager. But then that seems rather too innocent a reason; there is something much more sinister at work and I'm curious to find out what's going to happen next chapter. Why is Draco building a room with the help of a nurse from St. Mungo's psych ward? Why has he got a woman and children frequenting his and Ginny's home? I wonder if Ginny will ask Draco about it when he returns home, or whether she'll be too afraid of the answers to even attempt questioning him. Please update soon! :)
