I'm sad to say that this is the first story that I've read of yours. I wish that I could have been able to share the journey of this fic from its beginning, along with many of your other readers. As a quite avid lurker in the DG fanfic community, I have to say that is one of my absolute favorite stories. It shares enough of your personal vision and originality without trampling on JKR's initial characterizations of these lovely characters. Your Draco Malfoy is absolutely stunning, and nearly as enticing as your clever plot twists. I can't wait to read the rest of your stories, and I'm sure I'll read something of your original fiction someday. You truly are a talented writer, and I have quite enjoyed the lack of sleep over the past 36 hours whilst reading this glorious story.

This has to be one of my favorite DG fics...ever. I absolutely adore the way that you have taken JKR's revelations in DH and used them to supplement your wonderful story, as opposed to completely altering it. I also appreciate the way that you have included several nods to incidents or quotes in the canon, without using them in an overly obvious way.
Your characterization of Draco is lovely, but it's only enhanced by your depiction of Ginny Weasley, the lionness that she is!
Your dialogue is witty, and the changing POVs allows the plot to advance without portraying Draco or Ginny as too self-indulgent.

While this story is only canon through HBP, the original goal was to create a plausible conclusion with D/G... so I've tried very hard to stay in-character, incorporate canon, and even, ocasionally - when it suits me, utilize DH to my advantage. Ginny Weasley is absolutely sure that Draco Malfoy is hatching a particularly evil plot as junior head of the Ministry Department of Culture, and that it definitely involves puppy-strangling, bribing officials, and consistently wearing trousers tailored very tight in back. Or at least it's a theory that makes sense when she's been surviving on two hours of sleep a night for far too long, and Draco keeps vetoing her sketches for the new marble statues at the Ministry fountain. But then Luna Lovegood gives her a potion with some very curious effects, and Ginny finds that she just may have to revise her opinions about those evil trousers...Category: Works in Progress
Your writing is truly refreshing! For the past day and a half, I have been glued to my computer screen, feverishly reading this entire story. Although the Twilight saga makes me cringe, I have thoroughly enjoyed your take on Cedric Diggory's journey and your mild use of crossover in this fiction. I call it a *mild* crossover because unlike so many other fandoms that have "crossed over" into other universes, your twisted web of Volturi and Voldemort is surprisingly logical and well thought out. I adore the subtle humor woven into what I believe is a truly suspenseful plot. Not only that, but I have found myself craving evil trousers and pining for some Malfoy chocolate of my own! If your characterizations of Draco and Ginny in your other fics match the calibur of those that I've seen in the story, then I cannot wait to get my hands on your others. I'm attached to this one, but I cannot wait to read the other Anise "short fics" while I'm waiting for the next chapter. I wish that I could have followed this fiction from its birth, posted reviews in response to every new chapter, and anxiously awaited each new update along with (I'm sure) your many, many followers.

I adore the premise of this story and your characterization of Draco in it. Yes, he's spent time with Ginny, but just because he wants to succumb to her quirky, feminine wiles does not mean that he'll instaneously snap out of all the qualities that make him *Draco*. Thank you for that. It's the dance between his character's snarkiness and her character's stubbornness that you choreograph so very well. I feel like no step is left out in their development and the growth of the plot.
The characters you've introduced that are not a part or not elaborated upon in canon seem just like an extension of those found JKR's carefully crafted world.
Thanks for giving your readers just a taste enough to tickle the Draco-palate, but leave us thirsty for more.
