He is still a bit on the treacherous side, in that he\'ll do whatever it takes to achieve his goal, especially when the temperamental little Ginny essentially delcares war on him/his goals when he really didn\'t do *that much* wrong. But, he kind of redeems himself, not in that he realizes that he was wrong, but that he realizes what he lost due to his treacherous ways... but then Ginny bent a little, and he bent a little, and voila! Happily ever after!
