As each of us die we leave behind glimpses of our lives that linger in places we have been. Those memories, those pieces of our lives, are the most powerful form of magic. We ourselves are not important. It's what's inside of us. What lives on when we are gone.Category: Completed Short Stories
this is beautiful.
I'm almost overwhelmed.
really, really, really nice work.
When Draco finds Miss. Weasley dancing on the bar at one of London's fanciest nightclubs, he is more than a little bit surprised. Intrigued, amused, he finds himself drawn to her; the interest seems reciprocal. Little does he know that Ginny is looking for more than sex, money, or even love...Category: Works in Progress
this is incredibly well written, this line caught my attention particularly:
"No longer did shadows find a resting place in the hollows below his cheeks or in the creases around his eyes."
looking forward to more, thanks.
Ginny finally has everything she's ever wanted. The boy of her dreams, top grades, and a way to finally break into the Golden Trio. When perfection turns out to be less than perfect she finds herself seeking solace in another journal. When this journal writes back, she is understandably worried—until she discovers the person writing back is a fellow student. A fellow student who refuses to divulge his identity. Does she want to know who this mystery person is? Or has she already revealed too much of herself?Category: Works in Progress
I'm officially hooked... I didn't like the concept at first, but you won me over. post again soooooon please!
Author's Response: I'm glad I could change your mind :) The next chapter will be up very shortly.
All Ginny wants is to get the upper hand just once with drool-worthy hunk of man candy and callous playboy Draco Malfoy before he moves on to his next careless conquest. So how did this simple plan lead to time travel, nefarious plots involving the most infamous whorehouse in the wizarding world, and the teenaged Draco’s achingly sweet, chocolate-flavored kisses? Even Draco Malfoy was innocent once, as Ginny learns all too well…Category: Long and Completed
Chapter ONE HUNDRED EIGHTEEN Quote of the Day:
THE LAST CHAPTER
The minutes ticked by, long enough for Ginny to know that against all reason, all common sense, she still wanted impossible things from him. But she would leave. Even after today, even when her body ached from him and for him, when she could feel that he had begun to shape her to him, she would turn around and leave him. I will, I will, she thought.
“You don’t understand,” said Draco.
“Oh?” Ginny said stiffly. “At least he hadn’t touched her, she thought. She would not be able to find the strength to pull herself away from him, and she knew it.
best line of the chapter for me: "Malfoy, on the other hand, looks like a fallen angel in a snit at God for telling him that he can’t spend eternity having sex with the seraphim."
I really adore this story, it took me almost a week to catch up from the beginning and now I'm in a bit of a snit myself because I'll have to wait with bated breath for the next chapter like the rest of the mortals. *pouts*
okay, down to the mysteries: the shortish thinnish blondish person running around the tunnels... is it Astoria? at first I thought it might be Luna, and even had a brief spell of believing it was Lucius... am I right in thinking that these St. Mungo's tunnels are one of the places like the Malfoy vault and the Crystal Palace where the space-time fabric or what have you is rather thin? maybe it's Astoria looking for that locked door she couldn't get in before?
AND WHERE ON EARTH ARE THEY GOING NOW?? hopefully somewhere with a large bed and soundproof walls where Draco can finally do some... explaining. right. explaining, that's what I'm after.
*ahem* can't wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks! :) I loved that line too. That's what Ginny told me she thought, and... and once again, I'ml on the run from the men in the white coats with the butterfly nets. ;) Anyway...
I can't reveal who the person in the tunnels was yet, but we'll know pretty soon. The St. Mungo's tunnels are a strange place, for sure. And we'll find out at the beginning of the very next chapter where Ginny and Draco end up... ;)
funny in my chapter 45 review I requested that they end up somewhere with a large bed never guessing that they actually would! delightful.
anyway, so much teasing in these last two chapters, I mean here they are locked in a room intended for seduction, just the two of them, and they can't find something better to do than give each other truth-telling potions and bicker?! I suppose non-smutty chapters are necessary for the advancement of the 'plot' - which I've been told is some sort of literary device? hah.
the end of this chapter was very sweet though, nice to see them connecting on a real level and not just a hormone crazed one, although I appreciate both...
looking forward to the next chapter and hoping nothing interrupts the hour or two they have to kill in that room... no revenge crazed aurors or attacks of ginny's conscience or... photo ron's miraculous escape from said photo and subsequent ruin of the moment by indignant squeaking and toe pinching...
...I think I'm starting to see what you mean about the people in the white coats. better get some sleep.
Author's Response: I know... I had to snicker over the "large bed" request, because I KNEW that they actually were going to be in a room with that exact thing in the next chapter. ;) Oh, they'll find something better to do... I definitely can guarantee, no Auror or photograph-Ron attacks, and... let's say that Ginny's conscience isn't exactly what I would say the problem just might turn out to be.
oh wow, this chapter...
it gave me the shivers, the whole thing. so beautiful and haunting and passionate! you managed to make my heart swell and break all at once in every individual scene.
I particularly liked the descriptions of the eyes toward the end, it was a very succinct and poetic way of summing up the sub-plots and different characters' motives and emotions.
also, the last paragraph is wonderful, probably one of my favorite things I've read from you.
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you! :) Those are some things that I did try to do with this chapter. Ginny is at another real turning point here, I think. She came so close to giving in to Draco at the CP, finally realizing that she just couldn't do it and still keep any self-respect. But then she *also* came to understand in this chapter that she couldn't keep up her anger at him, either, and that she really didn't want to. However, she's absolutely determined not to give in to him, and she will not bend on that. She's in a very difficult situation here, IMHO, and we'll just have to see where it goes... ;)
