Author's Response: Well, it might possibly go up in the end... I never seem to be able to keep things to PG-13. ;) And... um... there's some bad news... nobody could save the files on that drive. It went to the specialists in CA and everything... they tried... it didn't work. :(
BUT! The essay will go on. And it will be posted. Yes, oh yes, it will. (said determinedly.) I have a version of Chapter 5 done already, but it needs some polishing. I think I'll post it after the exchange.
TD is going to be a little harder-- I'll have to recreate a LOT. But that WILL happen too. And the forums will be revamped and will live again!!:) I'm working on it with the exchange mods now.
And more of this fic very soon. I'll probably add a little to it from the original ffn version.

Author's Response: Thanks! :) I think that Ginny is just too afraid to risk her heart again, because she and Draco never discussed exactly why things ended between them after the blackmail disaster the year before. Then he suddenly comes back, and he doesn't seem to have any explanations for her so far... so her reluctance is understandable, I think. Yep, you might want to get the AC fixed. ;) More coming soon...

I suppose they are going to go pretty far with the "testing"...I hope Ginny realizes that the test wasn't supposed to be done THAT thoroughly...I can't imagine what will happen in the end. I can't picture Draco just standing by and allowing Knott to touch Ginny.

I loved this chapter. Ginny's emotions in the first part of it were so genuine and though she forces herself to believe that he doesn't care about her at all, we can see that there's more going on in his heart too. And of course his brilliant plan had to involve sex.Ha ha.
And I'm relly intrigued what really happened with the blackmail and other staff. Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Thanks! :) Yes, I think you've picked up on some of the emotions involved... they're both going to be struggling with their genuine feelings for each other, which I don't think is really giving anything away. And yep, it's safe to say that Draco's brilliant plan involves sex. :P I am ABSOLUTELY going to hell for posting the next chapters!!! ;)

Between alarms and bomb shelters, I want to say that I'm intrigued beyond words as to why Theo is pursuing them. It looks to me like a kind of personal vendetta against Draco where Ginny is just a means to get to the target. Or was it that he wanted to get Ginny for refusing his advances? I can't tell, there could be lots of reasons.
Also, I'm not sure Draco's only motive for refusing to pay was his reluctance to give in to blackmail. Perhaps he wanted to be find out so they can carry their relationship in the open but things went wrong.
There are so many guesses that you better post the new chapter soon!!!!!
Author's Response: Thanks! :) Yes, Theo has something very specific in mind here, and we'll find out what it was. And you're right!! (Here's the Smart Reviewer Award. :) Draco did have another motive for refusing to pay Theo a year before. Yes, we'll find out what it is... And the next chapter is coming soon. That's when... well, let's just say that Draco and Ginny get back to that tour. ;)

It seems that Nott does have a "thing" for Ginny if Draco wants to use her as a bait. Ginny agreed to this whole plan too quickly. I'm kinda angry with her for that. But Draco is irresistible to her so... And I'm sure Draco has more motives that Ginny hasn't discovered yet!
I hope next chapter won't be a long wait!
Author's Response: Thanks! :) Yes, Theo does have a Ginny thing going on, no doubt about it. She did agree quickly. I didn't even realize it until I read the last chapter over again. I think that SHE didn't quite realize it either (until it was too late.) But she's having a very hard time resisting Draco, now that he's back. The problem is that she swore she WOULD be able to resist him from then on after the disaster of a year before... so her heart and mind are going to be a little at odds here.
And yes... Draco isn't telling everything he knows! ;)

Ew, Ew, Ew Theo is so disgusting. Yuk. I just imagine Draco tearing him to pieces if he so much as lays a hand on Ginny.
Draco's conversation with Crabbe was touching. It seems Draco had done some thinking and apparently underwent some changes. Otherwise he wouldn't have said what he did to Brutus.

I really sympathized with Ginny when everything reminded her of the time she and Draco were in a relationship and her frustration with the fact that he doesn't acknowledge said relationship in any way. Ginny is clearly not over him and he better beg her to take him back!!
Also, I'm afraid Draco's plan will backfire. Knott may not be as predictable as Draco thinks and who knows what he would try to do to Ginny. And I wonder again just what the other girls know about Ginny and Draco's relationship. Hope for a quicker update now!!! Please!!!
Author's Response: Thanks! :) Oh, believe me, the time will come when Draco will do some begging... and I LOVE your guesses in other areas. I'll try to update ASAP, but I'm in Minnesota right now visiting family, and, well, I kind of had this fantasy that I was going to get lots of writing done this week... it's just not happening. I really think that the only way this would happen would be to have an actual *writing vacation.* It's a great idea... I'd love to come up with a way to do it... but right now, um, not so much. As soon as possible, though, there will be more! :)

Ha! Where's the picture of the look on Draco's face when Ginny told him she's going to take control? And what is she intending to do?I cant see her actually letting Theo watch her naked? MAybe if zDraco coveres her with his body. Yuk. I want to kill Theo too. I suppose after this is over Draco will have a hard time convincing Ginny that he feels something for her.
I suppose Theo suspects that their relationship is not exactly what they try to convince him of. And him mentioning 8 girls they shared was deliberate I think. Is he trying to create antagonism between them?

Author's Response: Hmmm.... now I can't get the picture out of my head. ;) Maybe I'll work on it. Okay, I can't reveal EXACTLY what's going to happen with Ginny's plots and plans, but don't worry TOO much. It'll all be okay. Actually, I think that Draco has more to worry about... and that's all I'm going to say. I think I would say that Theo would love to drive a wedge between Draco and Ginny, but when it came to the eight-girl story, he wanted to get more of a negative reaction out of Ginny. He didn't exactly get what he hoped for, because Ginny is better at controlling her temper than she used to be.

Thank you for a quick update!
I think what I sence the most so far is a gloomy atmosphere and the alternations between what happened 4 years before and the present time show that as far as Ginny is concerned not much has changed apparently. She used to stifle or push to the back of her mind her true feelings/thoughts which was maybe understandable when in the middle of war and she appears to continue doing so now. While things are being revealed at a slow pace it looks like the after war world is not really what was hoped for. And speaking in flower terms (I really liked the theme), it looks like Ginny is sort of withering away. I really must compliment you for making the reader feel the atmosphere.
Also here it becomes clear that what drew Ginny to Draco in her 6 year was (at least partly) the fact that he was putting himself in danger to be with her what Harry wasn't ready to do. But of course only a tip of the iceberg was revealed so far.
I'm waiting for a quick update!!!
What happened to Ron? Why do they have to wait for that Grayson guy and what do they want from Ginny?! I'm in suspence...

Thank you for the new chapter!
It was actually kinda funny to read how Ginny struggles between being proper and rational and her desire to actually do some naughty things with Draco. One moent she's indignant and the other she wants him to demand that of her for helping her brother. But we definitely see more of her impulsive side here - she rushes to Malfoy Manor without knowing if her brother is actually there or if Malfoy will agree to help and she doesn't have an alternative plan. I was sad though that she doesn't think someone could be interested in her because of her personality. Draco seems subdued. I imagine Ginny's arrival just added to his other problems...
