Author's Response: Thanks! :) The longer version... well, it gets more involved, let's just say. Draco's character is a little darker, and it's more obvious how tormented he is by the events of his sixth year. But he does make a deliberate choice, more than once, to do the right thing instead of the easy thing. And... the rating is also a LOT higher. ;)

"Delicately" is actually a word I wasn't expecting to describe the writing and emotions in this story, but the more I think about it and how fragile the moment between Draco and Ginny are and their state of minds, I can't help but think that word suites everything perfectly. Author's Response: Thanks! :) Um, the scenes can be a bit NSFW, but at least I'm not posting the pics here. ;) For some of these fics (not this one yet, though), there are pics that... well... I haven't posted anywhere yet... maybe I will at some point. I think that Draco's POV scenes are all about the war between the best and worst parts of himself, in a way, but he always manages to pull back. Anyway, more soon!

But it also goes way beyond the more simple stuff that was in the Xmas challenge fic...Such as exactly WHY Abraxas Malfoy gave Draco the stone that would send him and Ginny to that lodge.

Author's Response: Thanks! :) I really feel that in this fic, smut isn't just there for smut's sake (not that there's anything wrong with that either), but to show what's going on with both Draco and Ginny internally... and how their desire for each other and reactions to each other relate to the plot. Because they definitely do, and we're going to see much more of that in the next chapter.
