The minutes ticked by, long enough for Ginny to know that against all reason, all common sense, she still wanted impossible things from him. But she would leave. Even after today, even when her body ached from him and for him, when she could feel that he had begun to shape her to him, she would turn around and leave him. I will, I will, she thought.

Ugh! Such a cliffhanger! But yes...I am hoping Ginny is Marie...but at this point I don't know if that is true. :( But I'm glad you write in such a way that it's not obvious if she is or isn't. :)
Also the last sentence, "There was something about the way he’d said those words, something about the way he’d said everything since he came into the cottage, that was making her very, very uneasy." LOVE THAT! Haha. Reading it made me feel uneasy too!

Author's Response: Yes. :) I finally got to Oregon City!!! It is literally the end of the Oregon Trail. (After this Move of Doom, I think I would've rather gone in a covered wagon... more stuff would have fit into it...) So I'll be able to work on the next chapter now, finish it, and post it. Yay!

Excuse my language ;)....but FUCKING FINALLY! Ginny stood up for herself!!!! That makes me so happy!!! I mean of course...it was sad and I wanted her to stay with Draco...but I am so happy she didn't agree to be his 'whore' :). But I am dissapointed in her because when she was saying what Draco couldn't give her...she forgot to mention uhhh...LOVE! Well I know he can give it to her...and I hope he eventually will...but obviously right now, since he is unwilling to leave Astoria, he hasn't realized he is in love with her yet. :)
But yes...I agree with what someone else said...you are making us all loonies....I check this story about 10 days a day also haha.

And it's hard, but no matter how I tried to write it that way, I just could NOT get her to admit that she wanted Draco to love her. She's too wary of him for that, too afraid to expose her heart to him, and I do see why. More (pretty) soon... we might as well all enjoy the fast updates before I actually get a full-time job here, because something tells me they WILL slow down then. :P

Author's Response: Well, I'll try to post a new chapter. If it's really in celebration of that, exactly... um, I can't accurately say that it is. Not so much. Film!DH takes place in an alternate universe where H/G happened (but where I think it was at least less likely to do so much violence to Ginny's character.)
I agree! :( I love DDD and the Anise universe. The fact that all of your stories are so interwoven is what a LOVE about them! They have similar elements yes, but each are very unique and very enjoyable. I literally check your story 3 times a day to see if you have updated...it is kind of obsessive. I would be so upset if you did not finish this story. :( I HAVE to know what happens. Don't doubt yourself and don't doubt DDD! It is an amazing story!

Mmmm I've become so desperate for updates I decided to go back and reread from the beginning! I started this morning and I'm already on chapter 24, I think I have an addiction! But oh wow so many clues that were layed out in the first chapter make sense now, but some of them are still complete mysteries! I can't believe how much of this stuff I had forgotten all about though. And above all else, I have to enjoy the smutty-goodness from previous chapters while I anxiously await the end of the Pureblood Ball. :P Haha. Anyways, can't wait for a new chapter as always. I am on the edge of my seat with anticipation as to what is going to happen next!

I'm really trying to make sure all the early clues are being followed up on (Pansy as Michael Corner's girlfriend was actually hinted at in Chapter 3. Remember when he left the note for Ginny and said he was starting to care about someone else? That was Pansy... ) Of course, some clues just have to wait their turn. ;) Lots more coming up in the next chapters, and I know what's going to happen at the end of the Ball... Oh Anise. :( No offense to anyone else, because I know we are all entitled to our opinions, but I love your fics. I love that they are super long. I love how in-depth they are. The intricate plots and twists and turns are what I LOVE about them! Your writing style is so unique from other authors, but I view this as a positive thing, not a negative one. If I wanted to read JK Rowling, I will go read one of the HP books. In my opinion, the point to fanfiction isn't to retell the wonderfull stories that JK created, it's to make up your own and expand upon the characters, places, ect ect that she created. I think if you edited down your stories and cut stuff out, they just would not be the same. I love them just the way they are!

OMG amazing. I think this might be my favorite chapter in the story thus far. (Yes yes, smut is always good too though hehe) But seriously. The emotions in the chapter are just. Gah. Seeing Draco finally crack and open up. How painful it is to admit his true feelings and reflect upon himself. And the happiness Ginny feels at the end of the chapter. Sounds so lame, but my heart like swelled up and I got so excited for her. She cares about Draco immensely, even if sometimes she doesn't want to admit it. And Draco finally admitting he may have true feelings towards her that go beyond possession and sexual attraction is just. No words.
You are an amazing writer and author. Please write a book and get published haha. I would buy anything written by you in a second. :)
And also I cannot waitttt for the coming events. So much sexual tension and frustration and emotions have been built up between the two of them. I can't wait to see how it all plays out. At last!! :)

They both know that whatever their personal difficulties are (and they're considerable and can't be forgotten,) they do care. A big problem, though, is that they still know individually... and that hasn't been shared yet. And there's still a lot in their way. So much coming up! (And, oh yeah... I've been working on this original idea about zombies... ;)
