Why was Ginny Weasley standing in a circle of robed and cloaked figures, swathed in black except for her uncovered left arm? Why was the littlest member of a family ruled by a muggle-obsessed patriarch awaiting being branded with the Dark Mark?Category: Completed Short Stories
I truly enjoy the political motifs woven into the story. There is an underlying current of horror, but I just can pinpoint it. Perhaps it's the depiction of something supposedly so idealistic as being associated with the Dark Mark. Perhaps the only irk (well, that's not exactly the right word; it's more of a nagging feeling) that I have with the fc is how easily Draco left his former prejudice against the Weasleys, and the lack of expression of outrage that I imagine all the Weasley brood (Ron especially) would have.
But it's beautiful nevertheless, your weaving together politics and romance. I especially liked the Catholic persecution and the foreign policy of the US being mentioned; it brings a sense of reality and incorporates our world into this story!
Gone With the Wind, with Draco as Rhett and Ginny as Scarlett. Set just after Ginny's last year of Hogwarts, the war rages, Ginny continues to pine after a married Harry, and Draco watches as Ginny marries the wrong man. Several times.Category: Long and Completed
I never actually knew what Gone With The Wind really was about, but after reading the wikipedia entry for it, I can better appreciate your version as well as the movie. It's lovely and I did enjoy it. =) The H/Hr was nice (since I always did have a soft spot for it), and I did love the fact that Ginny came to terms with her mistakes and is determined to improve herself too, as it strikes me as very in character... =)

After the war is over, Ginny makes a vow to restore stolen items to their rightful owners.
I enjoyed this story, since it ends in a happy deadlock. Matching wits and all! =D

It was when she averted her eyes to the side of the building that she saw something to make her blood run cold.
She froze, stopping dead in her tracks and letting her arms fall limply to her sides. She stared at him, eyes wide in the red light of twilight, taking in the sight of his white-blond hair and porcelain features.
“No,” she breathed.
Red and green curses were flying about her in every direction, but it seemed the world had slowed down to her and the man who had not yet noticed her.
I love the way the songs tie into the story. Not quite a songfic, but enough to tie in a song along to the story. =)
