Sorry for not reviewing before but finals got crazy and then family gatherings went over the top, the only time I had left to read this was sometime after midnight when it was not so crazy..

I liked the small smile Ron gave hermione at the burrow, that was enough to humanize him and show a bit of how deep his pain and anger really goes.
And I liked how dumb Harry sounded when he explained his meeting with shacklebot to Ron, I totally thought, did you really think that was gonna hold up? for reals?
And I realize I sound a bit too much like Harry hater but I actually love him in canon, you just have made him this way ;P

Ooohhh Loved it!! :D Congratulations on finishing it. I love the whole idea of the plot and the way you developed the entire story was fascinating.
You did a lovely job with Draco still managing to keep cool and collected on the outside but you could still get the sense of his undying adoration for Ginny and the unmoving drive to be with her. One of my favourite parts were on this chapter when he comes back and he just says he's going on a date and I can feel the angry desperation in his actions through your words and then when he comes back and says he just went to back to work its a listen-to-what-I-am-saying kind of desperation and the contrast is so great it just brought the entire story together for me.

Thank you again for the review, and I am madly working on my other fic, The Safe House. It's very different from this one. In some ways, much more fluffy, but it is so much longer and there is so much more going on. I guess it's drama is completely external while this one was completely internal. Wow! I just realized that. :)

They're my favourite characters and their new relationship is wonderful to read. I liked the delivery of Blaise and Luna's baby especially because you included Mrs. Weasley and I love how she blushes everytime she talk to Draco. Love this story and I can't wait for more! x.

I've read this chapter about three or four times through now I believe I just can't get enough but just now got to review. You really put attention to every tiny detail didn't you? It just all feels so real!! The struggle these two boys are going through is so much perfect teen angst and their feelings are similar yet so different at the same time reflecting their personalities! I'm glad you included teddy here because he seems to be the most important male figure in James' life and Draco knows that. I'm looking forward to a conversation between Score and James because I'm really curious about Score's life at school which seems to be a bit of a hard time for him and how both him and James are going to adjust to their relationship. Oh and also more on how Score is taking to Ginny cause it's heartbreaking and fascinating at the same time. Also more Draco and Ginny cause that just keeps getting better an better but the reason I'm obsessed with this story is because you didn't write the story to revolve around them but to include in a very realistic way the joining of their two worlds. Very well done! Keep it up!! x.

Is this chapter longer? Cause it feels longer and that's great! I really liked this one! everything is developing naturally and your characterization is on point.
There was only one spot where I had to go back and re read a bit a couple times before it made sense to me and that was James' favourite class bit when she's asking Draco, I don't think it's too clear when she does but it isn't too bad. There was also a weird computer glitchy thing (idk what they're called :P) that probably wasn't your fault, and it was in about three places I think and it looked like this r11. Other than that this chapter was perfect :) also thank you for taking the time to answer reviews.. Not very many people take the time to do it anymore a it's greatly appreciated :)

Everything was perfect! The date was unexpected and unusual but so very wonderful. I like that you approached Draco's past in a very natural way and yet you touched on all the points I had questions on. I like his family and I totally want to see James' introduction to it as much as I want to see the Malfoy's to the Burrow *winkwinknudgenudge* I liked Blaise's bit because that one line "yes? What about Ginny?" is a winner. The last paragraph. The last perfect paragraph. It's almost like torture cause it's so short but it's so short yet very wonderfully written and all of the emotions! I don't even know where to start. It's gut wrenching and beautiful and I just cannot wait for what's next!

Oh this story just gets better and better!! I love how you portray the Malfoys. Charming yet you can't help but wonder what they're scheming. Why is Lucius so willing to let her see them like that? I want to say cause he knows she's perfect for his son but that'd be way to easy.
The part where Narcissa hits Draco while Lucius scolds him and Ginny is amused brought to mind a scene from The princess diaries 2 movie where Mia is arguing with and then pushes what's-his-face-hunky-guy into a pool during a garden party and then falls in herself and then she has to walk back right past her shocked grandmother the queen trying to look all regal while dripping wet. I know it's totally not related but what their interaction just brought that to mind instantly and I wanted to push Draco into a fountain. So what I'm trying to say is that if you can push Draco into a fountain I'd be completly delighted.

So I read this chapter and added the story to my favourites and the I went to read the reviews and someone mentioned going to read the whole fic on the forum so I ran to do the same and I loved it!! You characterization was fantastic and probably one of the best I've read in a while. I loved how you used the French thought in such an elegant way. In other fics when using foreign languages it feels a bit choppy but your use flows perfectly. The only complaint I do have is that the ending HAS to be expanded because it did feel a bit anticlimactic but after reading the reviews again and your responses I'm so happy to learn that the fic is going to be expanded as a whole and I cannot wait to read more! x.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I adore the French language and literature. One of my undergraduate degrees is in French literature, so it is a treat to be able to work it into a DG story. And, you know, the thought of Draco speaking French is very appealing to me. I'm glad that it worked and didn't feel choppy. I wanted it to be organic. The ending was very choppy indeed and sort of hashed together as the deadline truly snuck upon me. There will be a lot of changes and expansions and the ending somewhat (if not signficantly) different from the original, so I hope that you will stay tuned.

This was such a beautiful story! I started it just this morning and I just couldn't stop! I read your responses to reviews and was completely surprised that you weren't a resident of the area or at least a frequent visitor because the attention to every tiny detail was breath taking. I felt that I was there with them every step of the way. It all felt so real, even the completely epic battle with the yetis.
I adored your characterization and how each relationship evolved and was described. Even with the people that were not on the trip! I'm not going to lie though and I will say that I feel like I was left without a resolution for Draco and Ginny and k would have loved to see more of Scorpius and Lily because I had never thought of them before as a couple but they work, so you know I would not mind an extra scene with them getting married or having a bonding ceremony in Nepal with their families *winkwinknudgenudge*
Overall I can only describe this story as alive! Every step of the way felt real and it was a fantastic read, definetly a new favourite. Thanks!

I love, love, love to travel and I love to set my stories in far away countries: every time I do, I always go through a huge amount of research and I love every second of it. It makes me dream and makes me want to go and visit every place this wonderful world has to offer. You cannot even imagine how much I want to go trekking in the Himalayas, now. It sounds like a wonderful experience, doesn't it? And by the way, if you want a visual support to go with the description of the landscape here, the first 15 minutes of of the film "Everest" show exactly the same places that I've described here (I was so excited when the film came out!).
Thank you for being honest with me and telling me what you would have liked to see here that I didn't include. In fact, I was a bit scared that this story wouldn't have been well received on this website because of its ambiguous ending. I think that Draco and Ginny formed an indissoluble bond during this journey, but I don't think their relationship should be regarded as something romantic. It's more than that. They needed each other and they found comfort in each other, and they shared something unique up there. But Ginny's marriage is rock-solid and Draco wants to improve his situation with single-minded desire, now, and I'm sure he'll manage to reconcile with his wife and live happily with Scorpius. And I LOVE Scorpius/Lily, I love them even when they completely disrupt my OTP (which is - hold on to your hat - Lily/Hugo!) and what I think it's canon (which is Scorpius/Rose, I'm sure they'll get married, Ron predicted it after all..), I have tons of stories about them on AO3. They are the the cutest together, aren't they? Hmm.. a bonding ceremony in Nepal sounds beautiful, doesn't it? I bet it would make up for an interesting one-shot sequel. *g* I will have to think about it. :D (By the way, I also have a soft spot for Lily and Scorpius doing some sexy yoga after this trip..)
