What really happened in the DH Epilogue of Doom. Poor, poor Harry, so very clueless...Category: Works in Progress
Chapter SIXTY-NINE quote of the day:
Ginny scowled at him. “You don’t know me very well.”
Draco shook his head, his eyes more sorrowful than ever. “No. I don’t. Eternity wouldn’t be long enough for that.”
“Why do I feel as if we’ve suddenly wandered into the set of a men’s cologne commercial?” complained Lucifer.
“Can’t you keep your damn mouth shut, Lucifer?” spat Draco.
“Please… really… I don’t think you should talk to him that way,” whispered Ginny.
Oh, Ginny! I'm just as confused as you! You know how sometimes when you're reading a book or a ff or something, and you can clearly see what the characters should do for the desired outcome because you're an outside observer? Well, I really can't in this one! haha. Part of me hopes that everything she's doing will make the future better, and part of me hopes that no matter what she does, the future won't change at all so that at least it won't get worse! Oh dear, but they are so in love, aren't they? Lovely job! My heart is breaking for them both.
Evil. Pure unadulterated evil.
OH MY GOD! Seriously??? Argh! Draco, you are being such an ass right now! I understand that you've been driven a wee bit crazy by living as a Malfoy, but I think you're taking things a bit too far! There's no need to torture yourself like that! Especially when Ginny doesn't know how to remove the spell from you. Grr!
If I was Ginny, I dunno if I would ever be able to look at Draco again after this incident. Even if everything turns out okay and she finds him in fake!hell, I know that I personally would be too scarred by this experience/trip into the Pensieve to ever be able to forgive him. Much too traumatizing. At the same time, however, you really can't help but want to just hold him and make everything better. The paragraph where he talked about keeping her safe and bringing her her favorite foods...damn near broke my heart. Draco definitely feels torn between good and evil (for lack of a better comparison) and you did an excellent job making me feel torn between hate and sympathy!
So...is the reason why Harry would never really know how much he hurt Draco that night because of all this? Because Harry had no way of knowing that Ginny would be there and could interact with Draco and that Draco would torture Ginny like this? It would make sense that Draco always knew he was capable of hurting Ginny (for example, why he tried to push her away on their wedding night) and that Ginny had no idea because she would have to go through their entire marriage (well, up to this point, anyway) before experiencing it herself. Time travel is tricky stuff...although this isn't time travel, is it? Hmm...definitely food for thought!
Oh sweet Merlin! Lucius is such an evil bastard! Can I hate him, please? Thank you! Wait....is Draco going to kill Lucius?? Is that what Harry will never know that ruined Draco's life?
I think it's so interesting that all Ginny had to say was that in the future she would love him and Draco became such a different person. He really grew from boy to man in that moment. Hope is a strange and powerful thing. I really liked that paragraph where Draco is talking about how he's going to change the future (except not because that's how it's going to turn out anyway. Ugh...time travel is so confusing!). I also loved the one where Ginny realizes that the two Dracos are really one and the same. Lovely job!
Draco is so freaking brave!!! And they are sweet! As much as I hate Lucifer (I mean, he's Satan, how can I not?) he is kinda funny. And Lucius is so freaking clueless!!
Sweet Merlin! Now, I've frequently wanted to be inside a book, but this is so not what I had in mind!!!!!
Can I just say how relieved I am that Lucius was the sacrifice? I really thought it might be Narcissa and I was totally going to freak out! Lucius was a crazy old bastard and deserves what he got. Good riddance!
Oh poor Ginny. I know she really wanted to change the past, but this could have turned out so much worse. She could have succeeded in changing the past...and made everything infinitely worse than it is now! At least she knows where Draco is...at least she knows everything he knows now. And now she can move forward and fix it! Well...maybe not quite fix it, but at least salvage what can be salvaged.
I have to say that I'm a little surprised at how upset Narcissa was over Lucius's death. I wouldn't have expected it to drive her crazy, although I guess I can understand that too. Hmm...food for thought I suppose
Yay! Blaise is here! Hopefully he can be there for Ginny in a way no one else can be. I mean, if anyone is going to have any sympathy or the desire to understand Draco, then it's Blaise. Hmm...I wonder who Draco was talking to. It definitely could have been Ginny, except that I don't think he would ever resent her the way he obviously resented the listener. More importantly, we shouldn't despair and give up hope for a happy ending, eh? Fine by me! I'm all for happy endings! haha
Yay! It's starting to look a little better! Well, not the past. The past was just dreadful, wasn't it? Urgh, I think I actually shuddered through Blaise's entire story. Voldemort is so freaking creepy! And poor Draco trying to kill himself! That's just unacceptable! I'm very glad he didn't succeed. And now on to the future which will be happy and bright and wonderful and they can forget all about the creepy creepy past!!! (Okay, so maybe it won't be so perfect, but a girl can dream, yeah?!)

Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, Draco\'s mind is well ahead of what he\'s willing to admit openly, but he is thinking along lines he\'s always ran away from in the past ;) I couldn\'t imagine him being pleased with having a sweaty corpse ;)

Winner of "Best Draco Malfoy" at the Spring 2007 D/G Fic Exchange! “The Tower is a card about war, a war between the structures of lies and the lightning flash of truth. It stands for false concepts and institutions that we take for real. You can expect to be shaken up, to be blinded by a shocking revelation. It sometimes takes that to see a truth that one refuses to see.”Category: Long and Completed
I never thought I'd feel sympathy for Draco the Death Eater when he was still so devoted to the Evil Cause. But you manage to do it! Wonderful. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Wonderful! I love how Draco makes everything that Ginny spent a whole night agonizing over so simple and easy. Hehe
Ginny is twenty four, and the war rages on. Draco is a Death Eater, and he needs her help. Of course, he doesn't give her a choice. Now she's surrounded by the enemy. She begins to see that not everything is black and white. Can she come to terms with her new role in his life?Category: Works in Progress
Oh goodness! Poor Hermione...and Ron...and Ginny! But Draco was wonderful, of course. He was so considerate and understanding. And they're definitely moving in the right direction! Score!! Update soon please???
Author's Response: Thank you. I\'ll try to update asap.
Merlin's dirty trousers, you have got to be be kidding me!!!!!! They really are never going to get any alone time, are they? Grrr. And Leo better be okay!
Author's Response: I love your phrase \'merlins dirty trousers\'.It made me laugh.
Thank goodness everyone's okay! I was completely terrified! I do have a question though...should I laugh or be terrified at that last line? Is it really Draco or not?! Oh goodness, I can't wait for the next chapter!!!
FINALLY!!!! haha. But of course they were still interrupted! Draco definitely had the right idea though...no one else matters, thank you very much.
I do hope the envelope isn't something horrible. I realize that with Voldemort in the picture, life sucks, but they could definitely do with some downtime for a bit.
I never thought I'd say this but Lucius as the beginning of this chapter was so funny! Great work!
Author's Response: I like Lucius as evil with a dry sense of humor.
