These are stories I wrote while in high school and my freshman year of college, before schoolwork took over my life and fanfic fell by the wayside. Don't judge too harshly! The earliest are from when I was 14 or so!

Ooooh, this was excellent! I loved everything, from the pretext to the conclusion. Daring games usually come across as cliched, but somehow your details--Hermione's distress, Harry's help, Pansy's motives--made it all make sense. And then, I loved how each bit alternated points of view. I like sweet!Draco a lot; it's a nice change from snarky!Draco, which we're all so used to. I loved that he was the virgin and she wasn't, and the bit about the necklace was wonderful. I am normally not a reader of anything non-angst, but this was really perfect--not too fluffy, but not dark in the slightest. A breath of fresh air!

Wow.

I really, really loved this story.

Funnily enough, the part I disliked was the first, with Ginny's endless cursing. Now, I have a really foul mouth, but for some reason it just jarred with me--mostly because my characterization of Ginny is a girl who uses cursing for emphasis, so one who spouts foul language endlessly doesn't fit right in my head. On the other hand, I thought Draco's voice was absolutely perfect, and I adored the entire second half. The third, too, was excellent.

Ginny's feelings about Draco and his about her were right on; her nervousness about her first time and his nervousness about having to deal with it were really accurate.

And the sex was just right, too. Awkward, but okay, and in the end, worth it. I'd love to see a fic of yours taking place later on, once they have the hang of things.

And I loved the ending. :-)

My Anything by Eienvine    (Reviews - 363)

It's an old spell and an older oath, and Draco Malfoy would have laughed them off were he not in his present situation. Things being as they are, however, being married to Ginny Weasley might just be the answer to his problems. Pre-HBP.

I read this first two chapters of this story such a long time ago, and never forgot it, but totally forgot the title. I saw it in the Updated Fics list, and pounced on it with happiness!

This is such a well-written fic, and the premise is unique, plausible and interesting. Your Draco and Ginny are so well shaped, and I love your OCs--James and Elise especially--and the history you invented for them, particularly Narcissa and Lucius's backstory.

In short: I ADORE your story. And I am waiting impatiently for more updates, even though I know that's the worst thing to do to a writer of fanfic!

Thanks for this story, and for the obvious time and effort you've put into making it so excellent. It's well worth your while!

PS. Make him smile again! Nooo!

A new chapter! I am jumping with joy.

I feel SO SAD for them. So sad. It's horrible, it's just so horrible, the way they've missed each other's love and are now suffering. And trying to be stoic about it is only going to make it worse! Silly Ginny.

It's great that Hannah and Hermione came to see Draco. I wish he'd listen to them, and I wish Ginny wasn't so good at pretending everything was OK!

And yay for Supportive!Ron. That's the Ron I like to see. :-)

Of course, now Draco's off to fight bad guys and this will mean they're apart for even longer...

Oh. YAY!

Wow. This was a great chapter--full of action and longing, and the ending was just too perfect...the two of them reunited, and their first kiss. (Which was beautifully written.)

I loved the Draco and Harry exchange, as well. Very true to both of their characters.

And Bernard! Yay!

Is this it, or will there be more? I hope for more. :-)

Ohhhhh so lovely. And so sweet!

Ginny's timing in that last scene ("It's Malfoy these days") was brilliant. Well, your timing, obviously! And Draco was serious and lovely.

I'm so happy. I adore this story; it's probably my absolute favorite D/G novel-length fic, without any exaggeration--I recommend it to everyone. Thank you SO much for writing it!

It could stand alone, but I am excited to see Part Two! Ginny, Harry, and Draco have been leading separate lives for years, but then a disturbing case involving mind manipulation brings them all together. Rows break out, animosity and hatred grow, people die, and friendship is tested. In the midst of all that, is it possible for romance between two unlikely people to bloom?

Wow!
I just read all the chapters through, and I absolutely adore this story! There's loads of brilliant D/G (the sex scene was to die for...I loved the argument!) but with a real plot--which I seriously admire, because I can't write shippy fics with plot at all--and a GOOD one, too! I love the creepiness, because it just feels so genuine; the wizarding world isn't perfect, and finally someone's writing about it--and not using Voldemort, either, to demonstrate the badness. (Sometimes I feel like post-war stories make everything so happy and lovey, just because Voldemort's gone--but even without him, NO world can be perfect, and I love your fic for acknowledging that.)
And I wanted to make note of something from an earlier chapter--the boy who is dying, from the poisoned rose thorn? So touching...especially since it's another nod to the fact that the wizarding world has problems, too...not everything can be cured.
So, yeah. Amazing fic, and I love the characterization of Ginny and Draco, and even Harry! Can't wait for more!

Wow. This piece is all-too brief, and yet it is so compelling in this form: like you've walked in one a moment of their lives, and then kept on. I felt terribly for Draco, but I adored the way you wrote Ginny, no matter how badly it hurt him. She wasn't the pliable and perfect, easily-loving Ginny from most fics, and that was fabulous. You have a way with words, because you managed to convey a sense of desperation, of resignation, and of thwarted love, all in very few words.
Fabulous job! I love your work. :-)

Author's Response: And I love your reviews! (And your work too!) But since we\'re in a review context, let me say again that your reviews are just so smashing. I like working with different Ginnys and Dracos. I think that\'s what\'s so compelling about characters that are sketched out enough to get a real sense of who they are but not complete in the way the Golden Trio are. There\'s this wide latitude in exploring all the possibilities. I\'m glad you like Ginny, I usually very focused on Draco that I miss out on Ginny sometimes. Thanks again for reviewing!

Oh my goodness.

I love your fic!

You have such a beautiful simplicity to your writing--you haven't drawn anything out unnecessarily and state Draco and Ginny's emotions plainly but beautifully. And the plot would seem cliched in most cases, but you've made it stand out amongst all those D/G/H fics.

I can't wait for your next update!

Author's Response: Thank you! What an insightful review (my favorite kind). I had such a hard time keeping the contest version as brief (relatively speaking) as it was. I love the details and side stories- to me, those are sometimes the best aspects of a story.

And very well thought out, as well. I never connect the books that well, frankly...I just don't see the arcs, but you do. :-)

I really do.

A series of drabbles can be so effective, and you write so well. And the valentines, the way they were worded, were SO in character.

I absolutely adore this! Hurrah for Valentine's Day!

Author's Response: Thanks! It is fun sometimes to really have to limit how many words you can use to really capture what\'s going on. It\'s interesting how the littlest words or actions can really hone in on who a character is. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! ~Ves

Wow.

This was very intense.

As another reviewer said, the first person tends to put me off. Draco is hard to write, especially from within...but you've pulled off a characterization of Draco that is devestatingly accurate, and in his own voice.

The scenario is hardly unique, but the way you describe it--especially with Draco's ruminations on the irrational--is definitely special. This is a fabulous angstfic....it might be new for you, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be your forte.

Well done. :-)

Author's Response: It has actually. Thank you very much for your kind words. I know D/G is nothing new, but I always want to make it my own.

Thought I'd leave a proper review!

I really adore this story. I love that Draco and Ginny have returned to teach at Hogwarts; normally, that's not my thing, but you gave them such vivid personas as teachers--particularly with Draco's little speech--that I could totally see it. I also really enjoyed the bits about Slytherin House and how nobody had been a Slytherin in a long while, and all that. Really interesting.

I also liked the pace with which you developed their their relationship; it wasn't agonizingly long or unbelievably quick...they sort of fell into each other's arms at just the right speed, which was delightful.

Your characterizations are really what made this piece great. Thanks so much for writing it!

Author's Response: I liked your email review just fine. :)\r\nDraco likes speeches! I\'m really glad you read it; thanks for commenting.

I simply adore this fic. The plot develops at a fantastic pace--not too fast, not too slow--and each twist is perfectly plausible but still quite exciting. It feels like the real thing, like real life, but still makes a fascinating read, and the characters are so IC! It's wonderful. I can't wait for the next update.

Ahhhh.
You are killing me.
First of all, brilliant job with Luna. You captured her tone and her zaniness and her common sense very well; she's a grown-up canon!Luna and I love it.
Also, very glad she is with Blaise, and I love that she just knows they're meant for each other.
As for Ginny, she's being an idiot, but it's very typical Ginny behavior, so, well done. Draco, too; letting his anger get the better of him right there! So characteristic.
So, altogether, great chapter, and I loved Blaise's advice. Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! To me, Luna is firmly grounded but has a really flighty way of showing it, so that is sometimes really unwieldy and difficult for me to write, but I\'m so glad you think she turned out well - and that the others are in character, too!
