Category: Completed Short StoriesWhen detention ruins his plan to take Ginny to Paris via the Room of Requirement, Draco brings Paris to Ginny, with the help of a house-elf named Slinky.
*A 'missing moment' story inspired by A Tale of Two Matchmakers.*
FIRST REVIEW!!! *excited*
I know why it all sounds so familiar. Is it a chapter in your combined fic with Funnykido? Are You Afraid of the Dark, was it? *squints in concentration*
Anyway, wherever it was, I loved it then, and still love it now. Especially this line -- "Ginny watched his face, marvelling at how unguarded he was around her, allowing every emotion from irritation to elation to play across his features."
I'd rather have a Slytherin who only let YOU see his emotions than a Hufflepuff whose face is like a book to everyone... wouldn't you? It makes me feel special... loved.
A great one-shot! Hope more people review!
Author's Response: Ack! Don\'t remind me of that! We alternated chapters, didn\'t collaborate, and it was a \'live and learn\' experience. I learnt never to give control of your work to another writer, (who may go off fanfiction and not respond to emails) and have to \'live\' with the knowledge that an unpolished, rough-edged version of this exists in cyberspace. Sigh.\r\n\r\nOn a happy note, I could post it here, and you reviewed! Thank you! ^_^
Category: Completed Short StoriesIt takes a thief to catch a thief, but when Auror Ginny Weasley goes beyond the call of duty to catch Draco Malfoy red-handed, he catches her off guard, professionally and romantically.
*glomps* I tried to get here sooner, but the internet at home's broken. *shakes fist*
I loved it loved it loved it. It really is obvious that you've put so much work into researching all the historical facts surrounding Egyptian mythology and you did a great job teaching us all the facts without sounding like Hermione. I especially loved the bit at the end -- where Draco tells her that she completes him. It all falls into place nicely and I did a bit of a girly squeal upon reading it.
Ginny in denial is something you like to write about a lot, but is also something that I can see her doing. She's got the Weasley stubbornness, after all. I loved how you made her think that her obsession with him is purely based on his guilt as a cat burgler, not something else. And then have others sow doubts in her mind.
Draco making her all hot and flustered with touching her made me giggle. But I'm glad they got together in the end. How like Draco not to be susceptible to a Stupefy and to not need a wand.
I liked Draco caring for Narcissa and realising he's been a bad son... and then ordering gourmet meals for her. ;) But it seems so unSlytherin for Draco to be the blackmailed, not the blackmailer. That being said, it IS Scrimgeour. Who I kind of admire, in a warped way. But him being told off by Ginny at the end was priceless.
Hope more reviews come, because you (and all the other authors) deserve them.
Author's Response: I admire Scrimgeour too! I think he's a good man who can do bad things to accomplish his goals. He's never boring, that's for sure! As for blackmail, a person is only impervious to it if they are willing to call the blackmailer's bluff. Draco wasn't. As he said, he had a mother who needed him and employees who depended on his salary. He couldn't afford to tell the Minister to go to Hades, although I guarantee you he would have if Ginny hadn't been there listening! :D As for reviews, this has done nicely on FF and MNFF, so the ones here (where readers are serious about their ship ^_^) are the icing on a 'cake' that was very rewarding to 'bake', lol.
Spellbinding sweets and righteous revenge abound as Ginny follows in the twins' footsteps and Draco plots her penance.Category: Works in Progress
Wheeeee!!! Yay you! *dies of shock*
Not your usual angst, even though that is VERY good, and you know that you're one of the only people to ever get me to read anything remotely angsty (although that is changing). I'm enjoying the change, though.
I giggled SO MUCH at Draco and his fluffy snake-ly cuddliness. Yay Ginny for getting his attention and keeping it. Although, now he wants to hex her. That's ok. There's a very fine line between hate and love. *waggles eyebrows suggestively*
Well done! Loved it loved it loved it.
Ginny comes home to an unpleasant discovery.Category: Completed Short Stories
Fifty-six reads and one review, hopefully? I loved it, but Ginny should've really known better than to marry Harry Potter in the first place. I loved how Draco had this air of mystery around him (was he the man in the boat?) and how he listened to Ginny and talked it out with her. She seemed a bit too CALM, though, in my opinion. Maybe she's just not the hysterical kind. *wishes a hex on Scarhead*
Draco took upon himself the role of a chastity-belt when it comes to one Miss Weasley. Zealously devoted to his job, perhaps he’d developed the tendency of going a bit too far.Category: Completed Short Stories
*giggles* I loved the relationship dynamic that you had going and you kept me amused to the end. Poor poor Draco. He deserves better, he really does. After all that chastity belt-ing, she should really just fall into his arms and submit to be snogged silly. No, make it SWOON into his arms. :P Very well written. I enjoyed it thoroughly. ^_^
Boggarts reveal Ginny and Draco's greatest fears.Category: Works in Progress
I love it! I could almost *feel* the sweat coming off Ginny's face when Draco stepped out of the closet and you write a reeeeally yummy Draco. ;)
Draco's Boggart made me giggle. Harry's reaction was *priceless*!
Author's Response: Thank you. I had fun writing that description.
