Far Off Fields: A Christmas Tale by Fearthainn    (Reviews - 26)

Written for the 2001 Christmas season for the D/G archive, this is pointless, plotless, angst and fluffiness. Not to mention rampant indulgence of my fascination with cloaks.

I usuaslly prefer reading longer stories but gave this one a shot. Its delicious! Enough detail and hints that make you want to know so much more but just enough to satisfy. Draco's trembling hands, his behavior in the Great Hall. Wonderful. I'm not in the habit of reviewing and this story was posted a long time ago, but I liked it so much I wanted to comment.

Throw It All Away by CliodnaHPFan    (Reviews - 118)

Ginny has had feelings for Harry for as long as she can remember. One summer, she decides to take things into her own hands and find out if she’s really in love with him, or if it’s just an infatuation. She gets her answer, and things spiral downhill from there.

Just a small FYI -- when experiencing a panic attack its impossible to pass out. Your heart is racing and you may have this overwhelming feeling like you are going to pass out. However, since your heart IS racing the added adrenaline pumping through your system does not allow you to faint. In fact the only type of panic that you can faint from is when specific people see blood. The reason escapes me at the moment, but I believe it has to do with some of the brain functions. Now Ginny may be more prone to passing out because she has not been eating properly, but I believe (though there is a small chance I may be wrong) at the moment of the panic attack it would prevent any fainting. This is only a mild critique, and I am saying this in case anyone reading the story who has experienced panic attacks or will in the future (having one or two in a life time is not uncommon) knows that you will NOT faint! They are terrifying and overwhelming (I'm speaking from both professional and personal experience) but they will pass. - Christine

Notes on Falling Out of Love by fallingskyes    (Reviews - 281)

It's hard to learn how to live without that one person you thought would be in your life forever. But Ginny Weasley had always been a quick study, and there are always certain grey-eyed boys to help speed up the learning process...

I rarely ever review on here but I've been following your story from the beginning. I just wanted to say that my breath caught along with Ginny's when Draco made his declaration at the end. Very rarely do I have a physical reaction when I read stories so when it happened here I felt obligated to submit a review! Kudos!

I'm enjoying the story and the way you're able to weave this story where it seems natural for the two of them to be together without either of them being OoC in the slightest!

Of Chartreuse Knickers and Countertransference by Anise    (Reviews - 51)

Draco could probably concentrate better on his psychology class if it weren’t for two things: he’s hiding out at Hogwarts from a murderous Voldemort, and Ginny Weasley is his tutor. It’s a sunny Saturday afternoon at the library, and Draco and Ginny are all alone. Will the primordial sexual drives of the id win out? Was Carl Rogers right about the power of unconditional positive regard? And why does existential angst have to keep rearing its ugly head? AU, set during Draco’s seventh year.

I must say, I've never read a story and laughed so hard, ever! Its probably because I'm currently in grad school, studying the exact same thing. Not to mention that I've just finished a 27 pg trauma paper and am currently using reading D/G fics as my coping mechanism so I can become emotionally regulated. I had to read this story when I saw "countertransference" in the title, since I'm currently reading a book (not by choice) that appears solely dedicated to discussing the 10985734 different definitions of countertransference from different theory stand points. *headdesk* Anyway...why the Beck bashing? Possibly some displacement going on? =) I am a bit disappointed that Kohut and Bolby didn't show up, but maybe that's just because that's my image of a weird therapist version of the tea party in Alice and Wonderland. Now that I've rambled on like a lunatic due to sleep deprivation, I think I'll stop. Loving the story from one future therapist to another!
