It's times like these when I wish I had a bigger vocabulary, so that I could find the exact word to describe how moving and haunting this story is. A good piece of fiction follows you - and this piece refused to leave me alone, the last line was beautiful, really brought it all home.

One of the best pieces of writing (fanfiction wise) I've ever read. :)

Crossing into Chaos by Emeral_eyes    (Reviews - 512)

*Completely AU* In a world where Voldemort was never defeated, only a few things matter: pureblood, money and power. All that Ginny Weasley wanted was to survive her 7 years at Hogwarts, a school where the children of the richest and most powerful wizards dominate over others. Denying her natural instincts, she managed to make it into her 6th year without offending any of the cruel and powerful Slytherins - especially that horrible Draco Malfoy. Until one day, she crosses a line, and her peaceful existence is shattered forever. A story filled with adolescent drama, clash of the classes, angst, jealousy, ridiculous pride and love triangles (and squares).

You kill me. I seriously may have just died.

I'm really at a loss for words, I love this so much that it has wiped out my vocabulary, lol, which is quite a rarity, especially when this story is concerned. Oh yeah, I’m you’re my Star over at ff.net, so in case you were wondering I have reviewed before. But I prefer it over here at D&G, so I’ve transferred. ;)

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best DG out there. It’s rekindled my love for all things Draco/Ginny, and I’ve tried repeatedly tried to get sucked into another DG, but I have yet to find anything that even begins to rival your characterization, not to mention your (HYD’s) plot twists.

I’d really like to compliment you on the last few scenes, in particular. When Draco professed his love for Ginny I think I may have actually squealed. I adored everything about the last few scenes, and I won’t bother to go into detail (I’d be wasting tremendous amounts of time), but I would like to mention how lovely it was when Draco focused on Ginny when he was being tortured to compose himself. You really demonstrated how much he cared about her, as a good writer should.

And your characterization of Claire was brilliant, she was the perfect villain. You gave her depth and emotion, so much so that I felt *really* sorry for her, and was almost crying as I read about her past. It was kinda heartbreaking, and I felt sympathy for her.

As usual your writing is great and descriptive. I’m always impressed with your extensive vocabulary.

One thing though, you may want to get a beta. There were a few major errors in there, they didn’t bother me (but then again, I’m a bit biased, you could do anything at this point and it wouldn’t bother me, lol), but there are quite a few people out there who are bothered by those kind of things.

Anyway. Update as soon as you can. ;) I’ll be waiting. (P.S. I’m sorry this review is so friekin' long. Believe it or not, I had to cut myself off, I easily could have written four more paragraphs on What Makes CIC Great. I tend to ramble when I love a story, as I‘m sure you can see, so take it as a compliment..)

Award-winning fic from the D/G Fic Exchange on LJ. "His body lies cold and still beside her; his mouth is open, an O, and his hair is drying, feathery, in wisps, over his closed eyes. That fair skin; that nearly white hair. Dead, he looks so young...."

I was just lurking around the forums, and saw that this was recomended a couple times because it was "powerful" and "gut-wrenching." So I decided to check it out. And the people on the forums were right.

This was amazing. Although I was a bit unprepared for the length, it was well worth the time. Incredibly heartbreaking, and some of your descriptions were so eerie that you gave me the chills. Your characterization of Draco also blew me away, you gave him *alot* of depth and dimension.

This is the first DG oneshot I've read in quite a while, but it was so good that it's inspired me to go off and search for many more.

Thanks for this. I love fics that renew my love for DG.

Normally, I don't go for this type of fic. I much prefer the fluff, the all-kinds-of-happy fic. :]

And originally I stumbled over here because of a podcast I'd hurd part of; I was curious as to how the story would end even though I'd shut it off (because abusive!Draco generally sends me running in the other direction). I was just curious. I didn't really expect to like it, honestly.

But, dude, I was wrong. Your writing style is too lovely to ignore, and it's very disturbing in an impressive way that most folks can't pull off. Draco seemed truly threatening & perfectly insane. The way you wove his character was a lovely creation of your own.

Along with your way of words and creepy imagery that can draw a shudder from even the least easily scared, most unaffected of people, the ending truly made me fall in love with this.

And even though reading this again is probably going to give me nightmares, I can tell already that it is going to become one of those fics that I can't forget about. Lovely and disturbing.
