This was wonderful! I loved Draco's grinchiness (is that a word?), and Ginny was festive without being too over the top. It helped that Draco had his own little obsession--if he hadn't, the whole thing would have been too hard to believe. But I think my favorite part was the barest hints that Blaise and Luna had been scheming. Thanks for posting!

"Boadicea’s tit" has to be one of the best exclamations I have ever read in a fanfic. Hee hee!

I love that in this chapter, what Ginny really wants is, when it comes down to it, the same thing in both timelines. It will be lots of fun to see how it all plays out. I might be a little worried, but I have the promise of smut, so I know it can't turn out too badly. Thanks for the update. I am anxiously awaiting next Tuesday!

I love the first part of this chapter. You really capture how difficult it is to say to your spouse, "This isn't working." And you still give us hope because if they are willing to work things out, then it can't be all bad. The second part was good too, but didn't excite me as much as the first, probably because fear of the war has been done before often enough that I am used to it by now. But fear the person you love most and your future with them? That's new.

It\'s not very often in life that we walk into a moment that we know ahead of time is going to be pivitol.

I appreciate the comments on part two as well - It is a bit flat as compared to part one. Hopefully it will make more sense when the last two parts are posted...mostly, after the emotional roller coaster, the fic needed a breather and I think the war theme is SO old hat to most of us by now, that the second scene provided that break. Overdone? Yes. An inevitable conversation that you kind of have to cover writing these two at that period of their lives - Yes too...

Anyway - many, many thanks and I think you are very right that the second half of this chapter is one of the places that it really doesn\'t work to post this as a chaptered fic. After all, it was written to be read start to finish with no delays...but it\'s a little long to post as ONE chapter. Ugh. I\'d drive you all blind! ~Ves

I love the way you pulled this together in the end, with elements from the past recurring in the future, and helping bring Ginny and Draco closer together. The smut was well-done, too. It makes a lot of sense that it would be so intense after such a long break. Thank you very much for posting this story! It was a nice change, and a joy to read.

I just started reading your story, and it seems very interesting. Draco almost seems too nice, but I guess that is due to whatever he experienced in the war, and in the intervening years. I'll be interested to see where you take this.

This chapter is extremely well written. I love the way you framed Ginny's fears with her memories from the time she spent with Draco. The contrast with what she felt before leaving England was quite clear without being overdone. Thank you very much for posting. I'll be looking forward to the next chapter, to find out what happens when the Weasleys (and Harry and Hermione) arrive.

Draco's character here was really well-developed and intense, and Ginny's reluctant attraction was fascinating. But most of all, I liked the way the story built. The anticipation was really wonderful. It really got my heart pumping. The ending seemed a little abrupt, however, though that might have been intentional. Anyway, it was an excellent story. Thanks for posting it!

This is really funny. I especially like Draco's confirmation that Ginny will follow through on her threats. I laughed out loud at, "I'll make sure you end up in a nice sanitarium, and have a small nest egg to help you when you're ready to try picking up the pieces of your broken life." That's priceless!

I think what I like most about this story is the ebb and flow of it. Draco's emotions, and his relationship with Ginny, seem to come in waves, and he is helpless in the face of the tide. At first, I absolutely hated the refrains (that sort of thing usually strikes me as horribly pretentious), but as I read more of the story, I realized that they sort of fit, that they were almost like more waves lapping at the shore. I can't say this is my favorite of your stories, but it is certainly well done and interesting to read. Thanks for posting it!

Hee hee hee! I'm almost afraid to see what Ron has in mind. If he's thinking of Pansy, he's going to get much more than he bargains for, I'm sure. I am definitely looking forward to reading more of this!
