Epilogue Quote of the Day:
He struggled to prop himself up on an elbow. “Lovegood—Luna-- do you remember being… I really don't have the least idea how to explain this… somewhere else?”
“Somewhere that looked like King’s Cross Station?” asked Luna.
“Yes!” Draco tried to sit up all the way and failed, flopping back down onto the bed.
A thoughtful look came over her face. “I think that I do, but I don’t believe that anyone else does. Maybe it’s better that way.”
“Probably. Look, uh… where’s Ginny?”
“She’s not ready to see you just yet,” said Luna. ”Here’s a napkin.”
“I don’t care about a napkin! Where’s Ginny?”
Another amazing story -- & I love that the fog plays such a "villainous" role in this story. kinda reminds me of that horror movie (The Mist, right?).
Also, it seems that there is some romantic history between the 2 of them that the previous chapters didn't clearly indicate... w/c clearly means you've got a few plot tricks up your sleeve yet again... & as much as you love Nick & the Crystal Palace, I'm hoping they'd skip this one out.
Author's Response: Thanks! :) I wouldn't really say that Draco and Ginny exactly have a romantic history here as such... it's more that he really did notice her and think about her back at Hogwarts, although he'd never admit it at this point. And that's all I will say right now. ;)
Love the premise, Anise! Can't wait to read more about it, especially Ginny's role in his new life.
PS: I hope we're ok now after the last time I left a review on your fic. *^^*
Author's Response: Hi VJ! :) There's a lot more coming soon... and last year was just an awful mess of health problems. Things are going better this year, and on my last visit, the Casey Eye Institute specialist said I didn't have to come back for nine months! Yay!
Working for the Department of Mysteries teaches Draco Malfoy many things: Play the man. Everyone lies. Collateral damage is inevitable. But when he's the man being played and Ginny Weasley becomes collateral damage - well, you know what they say. All's fair in love, war, and hard and dirty politics.Category: Works in Progress
I'm deeply intrigued by this world you've created! Certainly one of the most interesting 1st chapter I've read in awhile. Something tells me this is going to be quite an enjoyable read
PS: I absolutely adore your Draco!
Author's Response: Thank you very much <3 yes, I always think complex worlds = richer story/plot. Complex characters require complex worlds for everything to be played out. Like Tolkien's Middle Earth or Children of Men's dystopian London. love 'em. not that this matches up to that by any means. hope this continues to be enjoyable for you in the upcoming chapters :)
Another brilliant chapter! There's a maturity in your writing that clearly separates this fic from all the rest! No typical clichés -- just a genuinely solid plot & pristine characterizations!
I wait anxiously for the next succeeding chapters -- & I absolutely love your flashback scenes! More of that pls?!
Author's Response: Those are really and truly high praises - and I really hope that I deliver on all your expectations. Not too sure about the maturity bit - inside, I am a crude four year old little boy :D Only thing worse than reading cliches are writing them, so exhausting. In all seriousness though, thank you very much. Much of the story has to be told via flashbacks because of what will be Ginny's unique position - not too give anything away - so you may wish for it now...but may find it becoming tedious soon haha. thanks kindly for your review!
