I'm a 29 year old lass from Calamba City, Philippines... and I've been a D/G shipper ever since i read MochaButterfly's Wrongfully Accused fic in 2001... and have never left the fandom since then!

Mostly I do beta-reading jobs for such authors like MochaButterfly, Reiko Naoi, where_is_truth, burgos damasco and singtoangels just to name a few... and have written 2 D/G fics at the moment (one of them is still a WIP w/c i will eventually continue very soon!) but nowadays I'm more into reading LJ D/G fics from annibug, Mynuet and Rainpuddle13 (w/c are awesome writers too!)...

My other D/G ships all include Ginny in them -- Oliver/Ginny, Remus/Ginny, & Colin/Ginny! Hehehe... she is my fave female HP character?!?!

I'm also a huge X-Files, Ally Mcbeal, One Tree Hill, Alias, Gilmore Girls, The Amazing Race, and Smallville fan! My other passion in life is Japanese animation... and my fave D/G fanarts are mostly Japanese-inspired in nature -- so if you know any sites that cater to this... PLS EMAIL ME A LINK ASAP!!!

I dunno how to politely say this but I will try... I was disappointed w/ this chapter. It's lovely that you've introduced "another man" in the love story but the fact that he's gay made it seem so weak. I know it's meant to be D/G, but Ginny's characterization as somebody desperately wanting to get back to Draco is very unbecoming of her. Even Narcissa & Pansy's involvement in bringing these two together again is very cliche & gimmicky! I would have loved if Isaac wasn't gay at all so that I could enjoy the sexual tension between the 3 of them, but alas, he barely had any scenes w/ Ginny, which makes him even less of a threat to begin with. I can't understand what Serena wants bec her arguments keep going around in circles (I want us to be one big happy family, but I don't want them to be dating?) but I blame that on the fact that she's 6. The "crotchless panties" joke came a bit too late already to save this chapter. After such a brilliant one last time, I was expecting more for this fic.

I'm sorry for the harsh criticism. I only said those because I really enjoy reading this fic & expect alot from it. Hopefully the next chapter will give light to everything that's happened in this one. If you feel that I've insulted your skills as a writer, then you have my sincerest apologies.

Author's Response: I am in no way insulted. I understand where you're coming from. I will clear up a few things that will hopefully help you understand where I'm coming from. And I hope I don't come off in an abrasive way because I don't mean to. Pansy and Narcissa are the ones who are behind the plan in getting Ginny and Draco back together. If Pansy hadn't been pushing Ginny, she probably wouldn't have gone to the birthday dinner, let alone try out the plan. Yes, it may be slightly cliched and gimmicky, but that was simply where the story was going. The reason why I didn't take the sexual tension route with all of that is because I thought that would be too cliched, and it didn't fit in with where the story is going. I want to concentrate less on the sex, more on the family aspect of the story now. As for Serena, she is six. It does sort of seem like she is going in circles, but her point is valid. The reason she doesn't want them dating is because she gets less time with them. She wants them to spend time with her. She doesn't want them to spend time alone without her. It is a very selfish thing, but at six years old, nothing more can be expected from her. I thought that came across in the story, but I guess it didn't. And the crotchless panty joke was never put in there to save the chapter for those who didn't like it, so I can understand where you're coming from with that. It was simply put in there for the humor aspect. I hope this helps explain some of my choices for the story. And I really don't mind the criticism. If I didn't have criticism every now and then, I wouldn't know what to do with myself. :] I am sorry that this chapter was disappointing for you though. I do try and keep the momentum going from chapter to chapter, but I suppose it isn't that easy. I do hope you stick with the story. Thank you for being constructive with your criticism though. I appreciate it.

Thank you for accepting my criticism then. Good point on the whole sexual tension thing, but I think what upsets me the most about this chapter is Isaac Shaw. Personally, it would have served the plot more if he wasn't gay, because then the attempt to make Draco jealous would have been more interesting. It doesn't have to be sexual in nature, but a sort of romantic distraction that would eventually have an impact on the lives of Draco, Ginny, & Serena. Notice how in your reviews nobody really cared about him because to them he didn't matter to the plot. He came out very bland & forgettable, which as a "third wheel" in the would-be love triangle, wouldn't work at all. If you plan on continuing w/ this facade then you gotta make Isaac stand out, just like what you did w/ Serena.

I'm not comparing but a classic example would be Ulrich in the fic Vineyard Summer by jessica k. malfoy! He's an original character in a D/G love triangle, & yet he had such a presence in the plot that readers were at the edge of their seats wondering if Ginny will end up falling for him instead of Draco. When I read Isaac I was hoping I'd get the same reaction as well but I didn't.

I know I'm pushing you too much but I have the tendency to get really passionate on stories that I think have the potential to be really great... and your fic does!

Author's Response: Isaac really isn't of much importance in the story. Pansy and Narcissa's plan failed completely, mostly because of Serena. Serena is the main character in this chapter. I wanted a lot of the focus to be on her, especially towards the end. This plot they had to make Draco jealous was supposed to take a backseat kind of. For all intents and purposes, this chapter was to tie up Serena's behavior from previous chapters. Yes, Isaac will come out in future chapters, at least a chapter in the future, but, again, he probably will be of no importance. He's a very minor character in all of this. I liked the love triangle in Vineyard Summer, and I love that story. But I wasn't going for the love triangle scenario. And I am a little bit glad that Isaac didn't stick in people's mind because they would be expecting big things from him in the future, and they would be disappointed. I understand that you are passionate about the story, and I'm glad. I've had my fair share of moments reading other people's story and feeling somewhat upset because things didn't go how I expected them to. And while I know this is happening to you, and I sympathize, the story is going in the direction that I have planned for it to go.

You have answered my criticisms very truthfully, & for that I commend you for it! Don't get me wrong -- I'm definitely going to finish this fic, but now I have a clearly understanding of what's going to happen next. Thanks so much & I hope the next one will live up to your expectations. :)

Author's Response: Well, I'm glad you're planning on finishing it because I would hate for your last look at it to leave a bad taste in your mouth. I am sorry that you weren't very satisfied with this chapter. And I hope the next chapter won't disappoint you as much. I can't give you any guarantees though. :] And I honestly don't mind your criticisms as I am sure there are others who feel the same way. So, thank you.

Did not expect that kitchen sex to happen... but then again, that's why plotbunnies are just used to pass the time till the real events of the story commences. very nicely done, esp the way Ginny gave him that "ultimatum". it was subtle & not over-the-top, which is refreshing to read (sorry, I'm so used to Hysterical!Ginny that I keep forgetting that she can play calm & collected as well). I can't wait to see how you'll execute the final chapters...

It was great discussing ideas w/ you. If you need help, you know where to find on Twitter. Take care always.

Author's Response: Well, I'm glad I can still surprise you. :D I don't like hysterical!Ginny so I tend not to write her. I will say that she is needed every now and then as a plot device though. And thank you very much for all your help with this.

First off, I think your fic is very well-written, & the fact that you're able to bridge 2 generations of HP characters very beautifully, is a testament of how good you are as a writer.

Having said that, your depiction of Draco & Ginny's romance confuses me. Part of me what's to feel sorry for their heartache, but then the logical side of my brain states that the fact that Ginny won't tell him the truth aggravates & insults whatever characterization you've made for both of them. You can't tug one's emotions like that on paper w/o justifying the cause of it. Sure, Ginny has her reasons, but for the reader, it could leave them distraught over the outcome. If that's what you're trying to do, then kudos to you -- but for me, it's leaving me feeling both angry & frustrated over how you intend to end this story, & still makes sense over their actions.

I'm sorry but part of me wants to continue on reading your fic, while the other wants me to let it go because you're just going around in circles w/ this "I can't tell you my secret" fiasco.

PS: I'm not insulting your fic in any way whatsoever -- I'm merely stating a point to other readers who personally don't want to have their emotions toyed w/ w/o proper reasoning. that's how insanely compelling your story is -- and I meant that as a compliment. :)

Author's Response: Well thanks for your review and as for Ginny jerking him around, I sincerely promise that I'm not going to leave readers in the dark on that. She is going to tell what really happened in a few chapters (once the kids are in a few). I'm sorry if it seems like I was intentionally frustrating readers by having her not admit to anything yet. It does come out I promise and there is a very good reason that she's so tight-lipped about it. I was telling another reviewer earlier that the reason she has should justify all of her possibly uncharacteristic tears and such and may even make her appear somewhat redeemable. Again, I hope I haven't caused too much frustration for you and if I have, I apologize. Thank you for pointing it out to me though, I do appreciate that. But again, I do promise it's not some reason that I just haven't put the effort into coming up with, she just honest to God hasn't got the courage to say anything to Draco. It will all come out though very soon. Again, thanks for your review and I hope you do continue with the story as its now so convuluted that it's sure to start wrapping itself up again. Thanks!

This chapter is definitely your best yet! It's amazing to see how brilliantly-written the scenes are, & how brutally-honest you've conveyed all their emotions.

This is a classic example that you must take full responsibility over the actions you do. It's frustrating that fate was never on their side, but that's how life really is. Maybe their love was never meant to be in the 1st place, & such tragedies are better left accepted. Do I want them to get back together? Hard to say really, but what good would it do to both of them, and to their families? No matter how you write this, there will never be "happily-ever after" for them.

As for Lily & Scorpius, the scars of the past will forever haunt their future, but only time will tell if their love is strong enough to overcome this.

Your story is very heart-wrenching! I applaud your efforts in bring romantic angst to a whole new level! Hope this won't be your last angst fic bec lady, you are GOOD!

Author's Response: Thank you! I do have another fic actually that was just in the DG fic exchange, just haven't found the time to update it yet, ;) I will soonish. And as for 'happily-ever-afters' well just say that the angst will lessen by the end and everyone will have a good ending if not the Disney version ;) Thanks so much for your glowing review!

I'm not going to lie... I don't expect a D/G happy ending at all with this fic, & I'm pretty ok w/ that. I know I'd be devastated & would cry at the end, but then again, some of the most epic romances doesn't always have that "... and they lived happily ever after" moment. In fact, I'd be slightly disappointed if they do get the fairytale ending I'm sure all your readers would love to have.

Part of me does feel that Draco & Ginny deserve to be happy with one another, but then there's tons of people already involved in their "mess". I don't see them getting together at all if it means tearing everybody apart.

Although I'm still vaguely curious as to how you're gonna end this... & I expect nothing less but a few broken hearts, tearful goodbyes, & new beginnings! :)

Author's Response: Haha, well now I can't really say anything can I? One way or the other is would be giving it away :) Thanks so much for reading and I'm glad you like it!

Millions and Millions of Malfoys (And One Very Sleep-Deprived Ginny) by Anise    (Reviews - 401)

Ginny Weasley is absolutely sure that Draco Malfoy is hatching a particularly evil plot as junior head of the Ministry Department of Culture, and that it definitely involves puppy-strangling, bribing officials, and consistently wearing trousers tailored very tight in back. Or at least it's a theory that makes sense when she's been surviving on two hours of sleep a night for far too long, and Draco keeps vetoing her sketches for the new marble statues at the Ministry fountain. But then Luna Lovegood gives her a potion with some very curious effects, and Ginny finds that she just may have to revise her opinions about those evil trousers...

Okay, the only reason why I'm stating all of this is because I've been a huge fangirl of yours for many years (I wrote emails to you filled with happy what-nots) -- and will continue on to do so -- but is this just me or in that beautifully twisted mind of yours, you've decided to somehow "deconstruct" the entire Twilight series (or at least the whole Edward/Bella romance) & tried to apply it to our beloved D/G pairing? I mean seriously -- does Twilight really need to be in every aspect of modern pop culture these days? *groans tiredly*

Now I'm not saying it's not something worth exploring -- though I have to admit that the last thing I want is for Twilight to invade the warm comforts of my D/G fandom -- but I'm dreadfully curious as to where you're going with this one. You've always have a way of making creative sense out of everything that you would never expect in a D/G fic, much less a HP one for that matter (you will always be my hero for incorporating Neil Gaiman's genius in your works!). However, it makes me wonder if you are: 1) A huge Twilight fan who thought that doing an HP crossover fic would be something that would look awesome in your already amazing D/G fic catalog; 2) One of the hundreds (I like to think that it's still in the hundreds but you never know, right?) of D/G shippers who have decided to take up residence in the wet & sleepy town of Forks, Washington (I can never understand what does Edward Cullen have in common with Draco Malfoy to make them jump ship); or 3) You just want to drive your ever-loyal fangirls (aka ME) to the brink of sheer insanity with all this "Cedric-Diggory-is-now-a-vampire-and-that-Draco-may-end-up-just-like-him" visions in my head! Believe me, reading that bit where Ginny was "rescued" from being hit by that moving vehicle (please don't tell me it's a huge black van again? PLEASE!!), I was like "WHY WON'T THIS THING LEAVE ME ALONE!??!!" I'm not kidding when I say I'm not feeling quite well after reading that bit -- not that it's the main cause of it but it might have triggered it somehow... *checks her temperature in case she's going to have a flu or something*

And that's the end of my silly & irrational rant -- so please do feel free to delete or cuss at me if you felt that I have went overboard with this one -- and yes, I'm one of a handful of those "I read the Twilight series yet didn't go gaga over it -- but why is it that everywhere I go, it's constantly torturing me to death, thus I might as well cave in before it really does kill me in the end" people that exist somewhere in this planet. My apologies if that is the case *^^;

PS: I do enjoy reading this fic so much, not just because your smut is the best out there, but your humour is spot-on! No matter what trick you pull, my dear you will always amaze me -- or should I say "dazzle"! (I can't believe I just used that word! *shudders*)

PPS: Since you plan on including the Cullens -- or at least the Volturri -- in this one, can you at least feature some of the Quileute wolves -- especially Jacob (he's the only one I love in the entire Twilight series -- lovely kid!).

PPPS: If in some cosmic Aniverse, you decided to have Ginny meet Bella in whatever shape or form -- is it too much to ask if Ginny slap her once for being such a bitch to Jacob, just once... please?? *begs on her knees*

PPPS: I like to think that this is the longest -- and most insane -- review you've ever read so far... wait, it's more like a silly rant than a review actually... sorry about that! ;p

It's amazing how you can make such hard-core fucking (sorry for the crudeness) so intimate. Hmm, I wonder what Ginny would uncover from Malfoy's past -- and yes, Cedric makes a grand appearance yet again! I'm truly excited about this...

As for helping you w/ your plot, I'm humbled that such a great writer like yourself, would even listen to anything I say! I have a few more questions that I'd love to ask you so pls YM if you're online (my apologies for all the offline messages as well since I'm presumed you were online at the time).

Of Draco, Ginny, and the Excessively Extensive List of Salaciously Sexual Euphemisms by Anise    (Reviews - 64)

Either Dumbledore’s assignment of Draco and Ginny as Potions study partners was perfectly innocent, or it’s all part of Voldemort’s cunning plan to spread nastiness, evil, and complete and utter un-niceness over all of Hogwarts by getting his sinister junior Death Eater heir-to-darkness a shagging partner to perk up the apocalypse to come. Ron is convinced it’s the latter, especially once he learns the shocking truth about Ginny’s cherry pie, Draco’s remarkably long, hard stick, and the Undershorts of Evil. This fic is COMPLETE!

I reckon the snippet you shown to be will be on the next chapter, which I can't wait! Reading your fic totally reminded me of why I love D/G in the 1st place -- it's the only fandom where BigBrother!Ron shines the brightest! Your humour is very British... and I love how it feels like you're watching a comedy skit, w/c the format is the same, but the laughs it brings makes it so delightful! Who knew the great Anise can do sex comedy (because what's an Anise fic w/o any hint of sex in it!) this brilliantly! :D

I absolutely adore this new version! I knew you'd catch that D/G moment at Slughorn's party! Always wondered why Ginny would look at him so sadly during that scene!

As for the line in the movie, I thought it was a bit strange that Ginny would say that to Harry - but now we know she was telling that to Draco!

Another brilliantly done fic! I can't wait to read your essay! I'm sure your theories are more insightful that anything JKR has written! Ü

I know your D/G muse is on hiatus, but I'll still eagerly await your next fics for many more years to come -- or until you finally retire from the fandom! Thanks for this wonderful journey my dear -- these trips are simply the best! Ü

Author's Response: I sincerely doubt I'd *ever* permanently leave fandom. I haven't been reading much d/g and the muse is on hiatus prolly because of Real Life and suddenly getting my brain eaten by RPG's on LJ. :D I have another K/M that I've written and will post up on LJ at some point, and I have other fanficcy things that I've written that aren't d/g. I blame Mynuet for all of the recent non-D/G fandom stuff. lol

Chapter ONE HUNDRED EIGHTEEN Quote of the Day:

THE LAST CHAPTER

The minutes ticked by, long enough for Ginny to know that against all reason, all common sense, she still wanted impossible things from him. But she would leave. Even after today, even when her body ached from him and for him, when she could feel that he had begun to shape her to him, she would turn around and leave him. I will, I will, she thought.

“You don’t understand,” said Draco.

“Oh?” Ginny said stiffly. “At least he hadn’t touched her, she thought. She would not be able to find the strength to pull herself away from him, and she knew it.

I was wondering if it's ok w/ you that I email you my take on your fic instead? Let's just say that as a long-time reader of yours, I have a few things I'd like to discuss w/ you that are pretty intense... if that's ok w/ you?

Author's Response: VJ!! (shriek of delight) Long time no see. Of course you can emial me!!! I would love to hear from you. :)

Sweet! Sadly I forgot your email address... & let me just tell you that what I have to say ain't gonna be pretty (I'm all for tough love!) so if you're not up for it then by all means, I'd totally understand! Ü

Author's Response: You know, I think it's worse to wonder what it is.... so instead of more dire warnings, please just tell me what it is. Sorry, but I'm waiting for the results of two neuro tests and at some point there's only so much suspense I can take.

Anise, I'm sorry but I decided to delete the earlier comment I made to you because I realize that the review board was definitely the wrong place to post such criticisms. It's unfair to you & the people who enjoy your work as well. I take full responsibility for my actions from this day on with regards to this matter.

You deserve nothing but praise for your creativity & hard work, & that's what really matters. I'm so sorry for this.

Author's Response: No, it wasn't the right place, and yes, it should have gone through email. There's a link if you click on the author name. But that was my fault too, because I didn't clearly *say* that I agreed with what you'd said earlier about sending email... when I reread what I'd posted, I wasn't clear at all, so I'm not so sure it would be fair for me to complain about having seen it posted in a review. I did that to myself to some extent. I can't blame anybody for their opinions, and I certainly won't. I don't know what to say because it's probably all going to sound like some kind of attempt to get reviewers to jump in and write about how convinced they are that this fic is worth continuing, but I feel like I've seen it in a new way and I just don't know if I can go on with it anymore. As long as we're keeping it real, that's what the effect of this entire thing has been.

This is gonna be the last time I'll be posting my reviews here on FIA... Anise, I sent you an email via anise_leinen@yahoo.com (that's your email right?) if that's ok?! I should have done that in the 1st place.

And to the readers that I have offended, I'm so sorry! My opinions are my own & will take full responsibility for them -- but don't ever think that I'm a bad person! I have loved this fandom for over a decade now -- at a time when there were barely 10 D/G fics in existence -- & I will continue to do so as long as there are great fanfic writers who keep this fandom alive. Anise is one of the best, & will stay there for many years to come

Author's Response: Yes, I just got the email, and I'll answer it later. Everybody will live I'm sure... anyway, I'll tell you more in the email.

I've read my fair share of BDSM D/G fics... but I have to say that this one is the most well-written piece ever! It's dark yet there's something beautifully haunting about this prose & how it's not just about sex.

Make no mistake... this is indeed a love story of a different kind that most authors tend to shy away from. I'm sure this one is 100x better than that damn Shades of Grey series

Call me absolutely crazy -- but every once in awhile, I would read a fic that leaves me feeling so emotionally invested in it that after reading each chapter, my mind keeps making scenarios jn my head that's just drive me insane! Your fic is one of those!

Honestly, I'm so torn about their relationship. I can tell how much Ginny desperately wants whatever it is that's going on between them to be real, but at the same time, she's smart enough to know although she trusts him w/ her life, she'd never let herself get her heart broken again... which makes me love/hate your Draco so much! Does he really care about her or he's again trying to manipulate her just because he can? I know he's gonna make her miserable, whether he intends to or not -- & it's killing me just thinking about it -- hence the driving-me-crazy sentiments I have about your fic!

I have this paranoia that Draco's gonna break her heart again, & I don't think Ginny's strong enough to handle another heartbreak like that... so I hope that you prove me wrong! I want them to have a happily-ever-after romance... but something tells me there's gonna be a lot of emotional turmoil along the way before that to happen...

Author's Response: I shall not call you crazy. In fact, I take what you said as a great compliment. It's absolutely lovely to know that you're so emotionally invested in my story. I'm not going to say much about what is going on between them because the last thing I would want to do is spoil it, but I will tell you to remember that Draco is still a Slytherin. However, he did say some things to her that were very honest. As to whether or not he'll break her heart again we'll just have to wait and see ;)... but if you've read any of my stories, you will know how I typically like to end them! Thanks so much for your absolutely wonderful review!

Ever since I've read your fic, I've been meaning to write you a review so here it is! :)

Let me say that I absolutely love how romantically dysfunctional these 2 are, especially with each other. With Ginny, it's pretty clear that he loves him & pretty much wants him to feel the same way. It's only now that she realises that maybe her love for him is enough for the both of them. She's slowly realising that she deserves more than that. Draco on the other hand, knows that he loves her -- he just doesn't know how to deal with it, so he just keeps on pushing her away until he figures it out, knowing that no matter what he does, she'll still love him. It's only when Ginny said that she's done with him, that he shows a flicker of sadness & worry over it, thus his whole speech & then making love. It's like he loves her but he's so sure that he'll continue to muck it up & hurt her, & he's afraid that he'll truly lose her in the end, & he's not sure if he can really handle that. Too far-fetched?

Either way, I absolutely love reading your fic & I hope you'll update this very soon!

PS: wouldn't it be amazing if you can write a version of this fic in Draco's POV. Like a companion fic of sorts?! That'll be just awesome!

PPS: I do animé RP & for some apparent reason I've unconsciously wrote my character based on your Ginny (she too is in love w/ a guy whose unsure of what he wants with her! Hehehe!). That's how good of a writer you are!

Author's Response: Wow, thank you so much. It's so exciting when a story I write inspires so much insight! I don't want to comment /too/ much on your theory because I wouldn't want to spoil anything about their relationship. But I will say that Ginny will test him and find out with complete certainty whether or not he has real feelings for her or if he is just using her to get what he needs. They way Draco feels is easily more complex than how Ginny feels -- she is pretty much an open book because it's from her POV ;). But I am so excited that you are enjoying this and that my characterization of Ginny was so appealing to you! I think that is the biggest compliment I've ever gotten as a writer. And actually, I would love to write something in this world from Draco's perspective. I don't know that I'd want to write the whole story with the same events, but definitely /something/ from his point of view, I think, would be loads of fun to write. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!

PPPS: I meant Ginny's love for Draco is NOT enough for the both of them. It's saying she wants more out of him, & if he's not going to give it to her then she's done with him.

Author's Response: I knew what you meant ;). Thanks again!

The Disappearance by Anise    (Reviews - 80)

The Very End.

Epilogue Quote of the Day:

He struggled to prop himself up on an elbow. “Lovegood—Luna-- do you remember being… I really don't have the least idea how to explain this… somewhere else?”

“Somewhere that looked like King’s Cross Station?” asked Luna.

“Yes!” Draco tried to sit up all the way and failed, flopping back down onto the bed.

A thoughtful look came over her face. “I think that I do, but I don’t believe that anyone else does. Maybe it’s better that way.”

“Probably. Look, uh… where’s Ginny?”

“She’s not ready to see you just yet,” said Luna. ”Here’s a napkin.”

“I don’t care about a napkin! Where’s Ginny?”

Thanks for another great read, Anise! I gotta admit -- I never thought you'd pull off a "sappy" ending but you did, & I'm so proud of you!

Can't wait for your next crazy adventure... & yes, I do want to read Death Train very badly

Author's Response: Thanks! :) I really like this fic... not because I necessarily think it's the BEST thing I've ever written, but I feel that the plotting and pacing worked well. And Death Train is the NaNo project, so one or another, the first complete draft will be DONE by the end of the month! ;)
