Oh, my. Please send dragonsangel68 my sympathies. I hope she and her family pull through their difficulties quickly. I have been returning to this story again and again. I don't always catch the chapters as they come out but definitely find myself checking back for them. They have been wonderfully entertaining and very sweet. As a writer and a beta, I understand your dilemma completely. I will patiently await your next chapter whenever it arrives. Godspeed. fallenwitch

Author's Response: The new chapter has been sent in for approval! It should be up shortly. Thanks so much for reading. I get so excited when someone who writes stories I enjoy reviews/reads my stories. Thank you!

Awww! What a wonderful ending to an excruciating go around for Ginny. Yes, it's been painful for Draco as well, but he deserved it for being such a GIT to her! Isn't it just like a man to take the option of ducking out of his newborn son's life for months when Ginny didn't have that option? Draco, the deadbeat dad. Well, it's going to take some major groveling for him to get back in my good graces! Good job, as usual! -fallenwitch

Author's Response: I love it when authors that I love review my stories! Thanks so much for the wonderful review!

Smack! Smack! Smack! Damn that bastard! You know I really thought he needed a proper kick in the arse after his horrendous behavior. Thank you for NOT letting Ginny wimp out and take him back with open arms. My favorite part was when they both tell each other "I don't love you." "I don't hate you." Oh, and yes, I think he's a major wanker, too! -fallenwitch

I'm a bit confused. What's with the two years of shagging and parenting without moving foward toward a more committed relationship? Does Draco realize that they have an open relationship as well or will that explosion happen when she steps out for that date? Hmmm...maybe he should start dating other women as well... then we can have a real show! -fallenwitch

Author's Response: Lol, why does the relationship confuse you? I know many people like this...who just stagnate in a situation and never progress forward. Most of the time it is in a job or a friendship, but why not in a sexual relationship. I may not have mentioned it on this site, but I was inspired by a friend\'s life to write this story. So, technically, it\'s based on a true story but certain dramatic elements have been added for the reader\'s pleasure...lol. Trust me, Draco has no idea and gets...how shall I say it...quite upset when he finds out if memory serves. Also, we\'ll see the reemergence of Pandora....oooh! Thank you so much for the review and I hope you keep reading even thought you don\'t like their relationship.

Yes, you're back! It's been so long, but it was worth the wait. What a brilliant chapter this was, pulling the story lines together even though everything is "falling apart"! I really can't blame Ginny for being "blind" to Draco's love for her at this point. Honestly, that wizard has beaten her poor heart into submission over the years. And for him to call her a "streetwalker"! I almost reached out and socked him myself. Now he is acting like a two year old toddler having a tantrum because Ginny is not falling into his world like she is "suppose" to. He has a little growing up and some catching up to do first. Yes, all of your carefully laid threads are bringing these two together for what promises to be a very happily ever after. After some fireworks, that is! Thanks so much for the update. -fallenwitch

Author's Response:
Aww, and thank you so much for the review!

You know, I\'ve had a lot of reviews both here and on Portkey (some of which I have just deleted because they were so nasty) saying that my story wasn\'t fluid and that I needed to \"tighten it up\" (as one reviewer so eloquently put it), but I knew where it was going the whole time (as I write the whole story before posting any of it). I knew that it would take a few chapters for everything to come together, but I knew it would eventually! Thank you so much for your wonderful, consistent reviews! I heart your stories (even if I mentally edit Draco\'s tendency to use GD...lol) and it is such a compliment for you to enjoy mine as well! I was just thinking about you last night and wondering when Along Came a Wizard would get updated again. *hehehe* Of course, it has been six months since I updated -- so I really shouldn\'t talk...lol! Thank you so much, again!

Ouch!
Three things are running through my mind.
1) Why does Draco feel that he can't give her what she wants? Is it because he doesn't believe she loves him and one of the things she wants is to fall in love?
2) Ginny is bordering on pathetic. Her defensive anger and projection of all responsibility for the pregnancy onto Draco is not only primitive and regressive but creates a vicious cycle of causing more and more pain for herself. Sad. Very sad. Double ouch!
3) I am intrigued by your use of sex in this story. It seems to be the only true thread of communication between these two and serves as metaphor for their feelings about each other. It is particuarly striking in this chapter. When Draco fails to reach Ginny in every other way, she accepts the sexual advances he offers in an attempt to console her and ease her emotional suffering, NOT for any sexual gratification on his part. Ginny, who cannot accept anything else from Draco, accepts his comfort in the guise of sex. Interesting.

Just some thoughts from the peanut gallery. I know you'll bring these two around. They are so obviously in love with each other, although a bit lost in communicating it in a way the other can hear. Interested to see what this new pregnancy does to the explosive stew you've created. If I were to complete the metaphor (including Ginny's "Freudian slip" by not casting a contraceptive charm, etc.) then they are firmly in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together - married with two or more kids. Sorry for the long review. Thanks for the update, as usual!

Author's Response:
No! The long review was WONDERFUL! I get so excited when I see more than, \"Great chapter. Update soon.\" I\'m guilty of leaving those sort of reviews more often than not, but I attempt to say something pertinent (as you have done here) at least once every couple of chapters. Thank you!

I agree that Ginny is bordering on pathetic, but the person (a real life one!) that I was basing her on was also becoming pathetic at this point in her life. The circumstances of the story are far different that those that happened in real life, but the story is based on true events.

I\'m glad that someone besides myself was intrigued with this type of sex. My intrigue is the primary reason I made the characters use it in such a way.

I am fairly certain I have two chapters left before the end. I\'m sure it ends far before most people would like it to, but that\'s the brakes! LOL! I assure you that they \"come around\" -- LOL!

Thank you again for the great review and I can\'t wait to read more of them -- I get so excited when author\'s of stories I love review my own writing!

Good lord, woman! One more chapter? Impossible! Maybe Draco will let go of Ginny. The tighter he tries to bind her to him, the more she protests. But I think the witch doth protest too much! Maybe she will realize that she has what she wants when it's gone but who knows with your unpredictable Ginny. See you at the final showdown! Thanks for the update! -fallenwitch

Author's Response: Haha, yep, only one more chapter -- it\'ll be up on Sunday! That\'s the good thing about updates being delayed on day because I was out of town this past weekend -- fewer days to wait for an update! Ha! You have to remember that all the loose ends may be tied up, but may not be tied up in the obvious fashion (or in the way that everyone expects them to be tied up). *smirk* Sista, I got surprises up my sleeves. Happy endings aren\'t always so obvious, but you know that (and that\'s why we love your fics!). I look forward to seeing what you have to say next week! Until then!

And they lived argumentatively ever after, the end! I can understand why you started a sequel when you finished this one a year ago. This isn't the end of anything for these two. It's just the beginning of the next "chapter" in their tumultuous lives. I suspect they will go on fighting and arguing and having glorious sex and fighting and arguing and having more glorious sex until they die. Different couples relate differently, and that seems to be the pattern these two fall into. I do believe it's true love, though. No doubt about that. Funny, isn't it, how true love never looks as storybook as we expect it to? In this case, not even close!

Thank you very much for a most enjoyable and entertaining read. I laughed. I cried. And I wanted to kick everybody's butt at one time or another (except Jayden). What more could a reader ask for? If your sequel never comes to be, that's okay. It's quite complete as is. Pat yourself on the back and take a bow, my dear! Well done!

Author's Response: I think that might be the best reveiw ever! I\'ve been sitting here moping over completely unrelated circumstances, and that was just the pick-me-up I needed to make me smile! Plus, it\'s all from one of my most favorite authors!

Good lord, woman, you've done it again! I was cruising through the new site, fiddling with this and that and came upon your fic. When I saw your name, I couldn't help myself. Brilliant! He looks at his own eyes and is able to count back correctly to the moment of conception! Your characterization of Draco is dead on. I find your writing style compelling. Not only is it well done, but it uses an economy of words and sucks the reader in until one cannot move or breathe or do anything other than click to the next chapter. Damn! I will mark this fic and come back as I have inconvenient house guests for the next few days. Maybe I can kick them out early! -fallenwitch

Absolutely brilliant! Cheers! Hats off to you! Your repartee between ALL the characters, Slytherins included, was masterful and had me in stitches the whole time. I thought I was going to fall off my chair! I am marking this fic as one of my all time favorites. I was digging through the archives at dracoandginny.com and stumbled across your fic. Your writing style is wonderful, esp your economy of words and wit. Thanks for cheering me up on an otherwise dreary day!

Author's Response: Thank you. Wow. What an insightful and complimentary review. I'm very flattered. Thank you for taking time out to tell me these things that in no way make for a smaller ego in my case. :)

I'm exhausted. Could someone please hand me a cigarette? What a fabulous, emotionally evocative and sensual story! Loved your writing style. My favourite part of this tale was the dialogue b/n D&G. Biting and sharp and dead on - all the way to the mutual proposals. What a perfect ending to a perfect story. Thanks much!

Hmmm...yes, emotionally abusive relationships are dark and disturbing. Yet you make an interesting tie in with the HBP. Is it that the world of fanfic, which is so dependent on JK Rowling, was blown out of the water with all the unexpected plots twists and turns and deaths in the HBP? She did throw a major wrench into our D/G world. Are you suggesting a parallel connection between us and Ginny with our loss of control over the parameters of our cannon as well as a parallel between JK and Draco as benevolent yet twisted controllers of said domain who are not doing things as we would like them to? Just a wild guess. Thanks for the air time. fallenwitch

Bickering. Bickering. Draco's comments about Hermione were hysterical! For the record, I don't think your chapters are too short. Stories sometimes just break down that way.

*sighs with contentment and wiggles with anticipation* How in the world did I miss this when it was originally posted? This aching gem of a piece harkens back all of the wonderful and pain-filled emotions evoked by Before The Storm. Your prose is as sharp and descriptive as ever. Your psychological portrayal of Draco's conflicting desires, loyalities, and needs is as compelling and dead on as it was the first time. I am thrilled that you are working on The Storm because the last I heard you had abandoned it. I am sure The Storm will be another D/G classic because, despite what uninformed voters may think, I know that it truly is a D/G masterpiece and classic. Patiently awaiting any literary crumb which drops from your computer.... -fallenwitch

Author's Response: You\'re too kind, Fallenwitch, but thank you. I\'m working, but its such slow goings it\'s sad. Awwww, jandj, that was sooooo sweet. This was my favorite line, "Just being there with her was better than breathing." Draco's vulnerability with Ginny is as unexpected as it is endearing. Rambling Draco, who would have thought?
