Why was Ginny Weasley standing in a circle of robed and cloaked figures, swathed in black except for her uncovered left arm? Why was the littlest member of a family ruled by a muggle-obsessed patriarch awaiting being branded with the Dark Mark?Category: Completed Short Stories
Good story. Interesting take on the Bad Ginny motif. I have a hard time believing that theirs would be a bloodless revolution and that, in the end, it would be sunshine and rainbows. But I rather like that, thinking that while they are doing what they're doing for the common good, they're in something of a downward spiral (a la Voldemort). And as another reviewer said, I like Ginny being a strong character, manifesting her own destiny as opposed to how she is often painted in contrast to Draco.
One criticism, and it is small, I didn't really like the idea of the foremost part of giving birth to their child was that Ginny got beautiful jewelry. It seemed a little off and materialistic compared with the rest of a great fic. Like I said though, very minor criticism, probably not worth mentioning. Thanks for the story.
Author's Response: *goes back to read that bit* You\'re right, it does come off as materialistic. I meant it to emphasize the ongoing attraction between them, despite the figure alterations of pregnancy and all the related stresses that go with it, but that didn\'t quite come across.
Ginny, Draco, Quidditch, and entirely too close quarters. Being forced to train, play, and live with Draco for a season gives Ginny a whole new understanding of and appreciation for the amazing bouncing ferret. Ginny's POV.Category: Long and Completed
I'm very impressed. Humorous, light-hearted and sweet D/G. Thank you very much for a good read.
Now, if you don't mind, I'm off to gobble more of your stuff.
“Who are you?” Hermione whispered. Quite honestly, Ginny Weasley didn't know anymore...Category: Completed Short Stories
Not a review of the story, but just a small part in it. Ginny pushes her wand into Hermione's "adam's apple". But, by definition, only men have adam's apples, not women (a la Adam and Eve). This, admittedly, distracted me from the rest of the story.
Author's Response: Hmm...I was pretty sure that every human had an adam\'s apple. But then again, science is definitely not my forte, so you\'re probably right.
