25-year-old Ginny Weasley is a reporter for the Daily Prophet but her current assignment to write a story about a clinic for war survivors and its anonymous benefactor will turn her world upside down.

Chapter 5 Quote:

In a moment she had grabbed her wand and was dashing to the fireplace, tossing Floo Powder into the flames.

“Lucy! Lucy, I need to talk!”

Her head was poking into Lucy’s dark kitchen. Apparently, her friend had much thicker curtains. After several minutes of shouting, Ginny was relieved to see a hassled looking Lucy sulk into the kitchen.

“If you aren’t bleeding, I swear to Merlin….” Lucy grumbled, rummaging around in a cabinet and extracting a tea kettle.

“Stay where you are and produce your time-card.” The words carried a conviction that would bring most to their knees. This man, however, just stared at her with his unnerving slate eyes.

“Bloody hell I will.”

Ginny felt her jaw drop open, she’d know that drawl anywhere. Her temper instantly flared at the realization. “What in Merlin’s name did you think you were doing, Malfoy? Do you want to go to Azkaban? Is that it?”

Chapter 13 Quote

It was when she averted her eyes to the side of the building that she saw something to make her blood run cold.

She froze, stopping dead in her tracks and letting her arms fall limply to her sides. She stared at him, eyes wide in the red light of twilight, taking in the sight of his white-blond hair and porcelain features.

“No,” she breathed.

Red and green curses were flying about her in every direction, but it seemed the world had slowed down to her and the man who had not yet noticed her.
