I may have said this already, but I love the atmosphere you create here - especially the way you manipulate light. I also really like the imagery at the end, and the juxtaposition of calm and chaos. I'm going to have to go read "Stone Muses".

Thank you for ripping my heart, throwing it in a blender and serving it up for tea a again. Argh! As hauntingly beautiful and disturbing the second time around as it was the first. Your Draco is trapped by his own foolish decision not the run. Why? Why didn't he run? There is no shame in running and grabbing a lifetime of happiness.
But it is his vicious jealous of Daphne and Zacharias that feels so very Draco here. If he cannot have the love of his life neither will anyone else. And now he is left with memories which will never be and " a past he cannot change and a girl he can no longer have", the one who turned on him, sorry or not. *cries*
Poignant. Painful. Heartbreaking. Thank you for posting this magnificent story. I LOVE it!
For anyone who has not read Stone Muses, it is a must read companion piece to this one and completes the circle of understanding.
