Rose is such a spiteful cow! My gosh, I never thought a fic could make me hate a character so much. I don't know if that was your intention, but it certainly worked on me.

Author's Response: Glad to here that! Twas supposed to make you think such... characterizations will chanbe with time though ;)

Great way to leave a chapter even though I can't wait to read more. Good Luck!

Author's Response: Thank you!

Oh, wow. I somehow missed your last update and read these last two chapters all at once. There is no doubt what so ever that you are an excellent writer because of how involved everyone seems in the story.
However, I just feel like I've been tricked somehow. Lol, your writing skill lured me in and then I followed a story with little detail about D/G(yes, it's soon coming, I know.) I just feel as though I am way too involved in the next generation love trials when I expected more... well, D/G. Buuut, while I'm on that note, I just wanted to put it out there how I feel that L/S doesn't have the same dynamic as D/G. Not that they should as your characters, it just makes it seem even more ill-fitting for this site because of how much focus is on their relationship. I don't know, that's my weird train of thought for trying to justify why L/S irks me in such a way. Another reason could be Lily and Scorpius and their utter disregard and disrespect of the other characters. Or that Lily's an all out brat. Or that Scorpius actually didn't know what he would've done to Rose if he hadn't gotten punched. Or that while Rose was saying that he was hurting her Lily did nothing at all (shock from getting slapped does not extend so far as to watch someone you very much like almost attack someone you love.)
: See what I mean? Entirely too preoccupied with the next generation.

I'm still awaiting the D/G and the happy-ish end of everything. And extra kudos for being so attentive to your reviewers!

ps - i don't think anyone's trying to honestly "bash" your story. it's just eliciting so many different reactions and emotions as the plot thickens... that was supposed to sound a lot more like a compliment. :)

Author's Response: Thanks for the kudos and your comments. I don't see anything as bashing necessarily, just different takes that make me think and I end up adding more chapters every time. I always end up liking them once that happens no matter what, so no worries. It's a good point about the emphasis put on the next generation, and yeah it gets people preoccupied, I haven't given anyone a chance not to either with the small amount that Draco and Ginny have been seen in comparison. But they are the focus for the rest of the story starting in the next chapters. I've been typing like crazy on those scenes (rewrites are a total death sentence by the way ;) Anyway, I'm hoping it will be more satisfying as everyone gets to read those chapters. As for the happy ending, there is much more angst to come, but it will somehow get happy anyway. Thanks for your review and I hope you like the next chapters too!

Oh my God! What a fantastic chapter! It's amazing how you can picturise a real fight in your head... I mean it was so real, that it's hard to believe that it is a fictional account... the chaos, the irrational accusations, everyone's reactions.....everything.. you write amazingly well.
Ah... the first D/G interaction...hmmm it gets interesting from here... and its so cute to see Scorpius being so protective of Lily :) they are perfect.
God! you making me hate Rose more and more... i understand that she is heart broken but Lily is not the one to be blamed entirely. But you have written Rose exactly the way I had imagined her to be.
Great job and the best part is that you update regularly... I love you :D

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked the fight scene so much (there are more arguments in future chapters too). Your review honestly made me really smile too. I'm so glad you like the story and the characters so much. I'll try to have the next chapter out sometime in the near future, lol. Thanks again!

Rose is such a BITCH! It wasn't Lily's fault. She really didn't know! =/ Btw, that was a sweet D/G scene. Keep more of them coming please! =)

Author's Response: Oh I will keep them coming, LOTS of them. ;)

I'm so angry now! Rose is such a bitch, bleh. BLEH.

That aside, I'm quite curious as to how the Draco/Ginny plot is going to unfold, because while it's quite illogical for Harry/Ginny to breakup, this is, after all, a DG fic.

Hmm.........

Author's Response: Haha, I'm adding more and more chapters right now and wondering that myself at times. Maybe I'm just sleep-deprived. That whole 'this is complete just waiting to be beta-ed' thing? I keep having plot bunnies invading my thoughts and transcribing themselves onto my computer screen. Hopefully they'll stop soon. I know the first 15 or so chapters, I know the end, there's this gap though and it's filling itself crazy fast. Thanks for your review!
Name: black_adder24 reviewed The Fury of Tears on Jul 07, 2009 10:27 pm
Happy ending? All hell has broken loose! When I read that chapter, I thought it was going to end in hopeless angst and misery and someone would be in St. Mungo's insanity ward...but if there's a happy ending, I'll stick around for it.

Rose should not have hit Lily. Of course, she can be jealous but honestly Lily didn't know so Rose really has no excuse to attack her. Hermione is really annoying. Like, drop-a-boulder-on-her annoying. Huge boulder. Everyone made a lot of mistakes and now its all coming back to haunt them...wicked! :) Update!

Author's Response: Thanks! *grins broadly* Yes, Herm is quite irritating, though I love her I still always have thought of her that way ;) I'm glad you'll be sticking around till the end! I'll be sure to make it a good one as far as 'happy' goes though it may have a bittersweet tinge. Well go for not all out angst if possible. I don't know yet, haven't actually typed that chapter, lol. Thanks for your review!

Rosalie, I love this story! I come on every day (well almost) and hope that this story has been updated. I really am enjoying the plot to this story. So angsty! Especially this last chapter, whew. Amazing.

I don't know why, but I am totally identifying and with Rose's side of things in the chapter. I could feel the rage...haha. Really want this to turn into a Rose/Scorpius story, but I have a feeling it isn't going to. Ah, well...

Thanks sooo much for taking the time to write!

Author's Response: Oh thank you so much! That's so encouraging to hear that you look for updates so often, lol, sorry I can't seem to get them out sooner. I know what you mean about identifying with Rose. The more I write about her side the more I see her view too. I promise she isn't gone from this story. And thanks for taking the time to review! ;)

Ohno poor Rose! ): I feel very sad for her.. It's not exactly Lily's fault she didn't know bout Rose's feelings, but I think that since Scorpius was the two of them should have been more sensitive bout it to poor Rose!

Besides that.. Just want to say this story's awesome :) gripped by it! Can't wait for the next chapter and the eventual happy ending!! :D

Author's Response: Well thank you! I'm glad you like it so much! I'll have the next chapter out soonish...

I mean... I understand why Scorpius is so angry, I guess. But I can't help but be completely on Rose's side, no matter how poorly she handled the situation. I don't like Lily with Scorpius -_-. Oh well. It's an excellent story! I'll definitely keep reading. I like how the prejudices in the past run parallel to the ones in the present in the hospital wing scene where Ginny, Hermione and Draco are all bickering.

Author's Response: Yeah, old prejudices never die easily. They just keep going. Shame too. But fun for the whole writing's sake. Thanks for your review! I appreciate it!

Oh yay for another chapter! Thank you for posting it. I'm glad that it's finally out and they know. I can't wait for the next chapter. Please post it soon!

Author's Response: No prob, soon as I can! Glad you liked it! ;)

i keep worrying that this is going to go all VC andrews on me and scorpius and lily will be related. hmmmm. anyways. i love how you have given scorpius a personality that isn't his fathers. not that i've read other fanfic involving him, but that's how i imagine people might write him! i feel really bad for rose, despite the fact that she's being a total bee-yatch!!!!! and i'm still hoping Harry divorces ginny or something! LOL

Author's Response: No VC andrews, I promise (not entirely sure what that means, but no relatedness I can assure you) ;) Thank you for the observation about Scorp vs. his dad personality wise. It's very different to be raised by a murderer like Draco was and being raised by a man who never wanted that life and appreciates hard work and tough decisions. And Rose will have her redemption, in a few chapters lol. Thanks for the review!

GRRRRRHHH I hate rose!!!! she is such a bitch!!!!!
L/S D/G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Author's Response: Ah, not necessarily. Her actions most definately bitchy... but... let's call it extenuating circumstances, shall we? I'd likely be overly emotional and aggressive as well. ;) Thanks for the review!
Name: topaxi reviewed The Fury of Tears on Jul 06, 2009 04:19 pm
So far... Awesome! I'm loving your fic.

The kids are great (though I'm wondering about Rose... she seems to have gone off the deep end a bit... will we see her point of view again at some point to explain her craziness?).

I have no idea how you're going to turn this around into "happy endings for everyone", but I look forward to it!

Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, Rose is definately having a rough time with everything. Her character will come right back into it as far as POV and such is concerned, just not in the next immediate few chapters. And as a warning, as I'm sure you've already guessed, the happy endings may have a bittersweet tinge. But still happy. I'm happy with it at least ;) Once again, thanks so much for your review!
Name: karoooh reviewed The Fury of Tears on Jul 06, 2009 04:10 pm
OMG That was THE most brilliant chapter I've ever read out of fanfiction! I've never been so riveted over a/n fight/argument before! It was very well written.

And poor Ginny! This line - "...watching with horror as her aunt crumpled in Malfoy’s arms, still sobbing in the corridor" - was heart-breaking. I'm glad Draco was there for some sort of support.

I'm so excited for the next chapter, can't wait!

Author's Response: Wow, thank you for the compliment! *very pleased smile* Glad you liked it so much! Not going to lie, fight scenes are a blast to write and easily just keep going and going... Hard to stop them you know? ;) I'll have the next one out soon as I can.

Gah. What a mess. I'm grabbing that Author's note about happy endings and using it as a life raft. It's been an exciting chapter though, if OH-NOES-THE-WORLD-IS-FALLING-APART-AROUND-ME is your thing.

Author's Response: Eh, what can I say, angst is my specialty, lol, or at least my focus. As for the happy ending, it is certainly promised, though just as certainly bitter-sweet. Thanks for the review!
Name: Eleoopy reviewed The Fury of Tears on Jul 06, 2009 02:38 pm

Oh no you didnt!!!  Argh, great chapter but i am soo angry at ROSE!  I dont care what Team Rose had to say, but what the heck did she mean that Lily would have figure out.  Um, hello, she NEVER told ANYONE about her affection - and Ginny didnt count b/c the name is still anonymous!  Aside from that, how is Lily stealing her man when she never claim it - or when it is never official?  It's like Draco cant said that Harry is stealing his woman when they never had more than a fling - in fact, it's much worst with Rose.  B/c Rose never hardly hang out with Scropius other than classes and rarely prefect duty.  ARGH >_<

I like how Lily and Scropius fight back at Rose's ridiculous comment b/c from the story standpoint, Rose is acting like 15 and not 17.  I sooo agreed when lily said " I thought you are the intelligent one" yea...sometimes stupid unforbidden love just make people stupid.

I cant wait to see the next chapter to see how the characters wrap up themselves.  I know you mentioned a bittersweet ending, so I am guessing either L/S and Rose got someone or all three stay as friends - which I dont really think would make any of us happy (just my thought of course).

Author's Response: Haha, well your thoughts are of course appreciated. Afraid I can't say what the bittersweet ending will be exactly. It's crazy because every review wants something different, so naturally in a situation like this, lol, I'm sticking with what's already written and sitting happily on my flashdrive. Hopefully it will keep a handful happy and not outright upset the rest. Thanks so much for your review! Next chapter will be out soon! ;)

Author's Response: More soon ;) Like in a week, lol. Sorry it was such a mean way to cut the chapter length.
Name: DGgirl reviewed The Fury of Tears on Jul 06, 2009 11:52 am
Ok, now that I'm more calm, I can give you a better review ^^" I sort of agree with Jem90. This chapter has sort of set in stone the loyalties of Scorpius and Lily, and honestly, it's made me hate them. I mean, my god, this girl stands there after snogging her best-friend's crush and accuses her ruining her own life? Not that Rose is completely innocent - she should've manned up and owned up to her feelings, but I can understand her predicament. Going against everything your parents believe in is very hard, especially for a girl her age, who's always expected to be so perfect. And, Scorpius, being brought up as the gentlemanly son of Astoria - who seems so naive and sweet - seems so OOC and so rude to shove a girl, it made me seethe. Poor Draco and Ginny - they're stuck in their own predicament. I think what Rose said about Lily and Ginny hit it right on the head. Ginny doesn't know what she wants, and because of her indecisiveness she's ruined seven lives forever, irrevocably. I don't know if Draco fought hard for her or not, so I'll hold my comment on him.

This is all a big mess really, and the people I really truly feel sorry for are Harry, Astoria, and Rose because they've been burdened with secrets and lies that are not their own. Harry - like Jem90 said - has become the ultimate pushover, and Astoria is the benign, oblivious wife, who knows something is wrong, but chooses to live in her own world. And, then there's Rose, whose entire world (what seems like at her age) has been turned upside down because of her best friend, who seems to be acting like a selfish little brat right now. Having read this chapter, I agree with you on one thing now though: Scorpius and Lily deserve each other. I hope Rose finds someone more understanding, and not quite as volatile who will treat her with the respect and loyalty that the Scorpius in this story has never given her. I would even go as far as to question his feelings for her in the first place because how can he basically dump her overnight for Lily after claiming that he never thought he could like someone other than her? It just doesn't make sense to me. I don't think his loyalties ever lied with Rose, and he would be hypocrite if he tried to make himself out to be a victim of Rose's insecurities. Anyways, I'll write more as I can think of it, but until then, happy writing!

Author's Response: Wow, quite the insight in that review. Glad you could breathe enough to write it out. ;) There are areas I'd disagree with you on, but it's entirely your right to your own take on the chapter. I do completely agree that everyone, and I do mean every last character, has more often than not, created their own problems. Ginny and Draco's past obviously, and then the mess between Rose, Scorpius, and Lily. I don't mean to label teenagers, but I do think that kids that age often overreact to things and make more of a mess than they were originally dealing with. School fights happen, especially between angry, adolescents caught in messy situations. I sort of think that everyone is a victim to their own degree. Rose obviously more so than others for how she was betrayed and then attacked when she finally vented herself and confronted Lily. I don't think that Scorpius would call himself a 'victim' of Rose's insecurities, but he certainly was yanked around by her indecisiveness. His friendship with Lily is real, months have passed since he first met her after all and he does care about her. I think that when he originally chose Lily over Rose and gave having Rose up, that he was honestly just trying to deal with what had happened and move on. He knew that he and Rose were going nowhere fast and that he had a shot with Lily. His and Lily hiding their relationship, which essentially was a betrayal of Rose, led to a huge blow-up between the three of them and got out of control as everyone grew increasingly angrier. Lily was torn between her cousin Rose and Scorpius, who she truly did like. She chose Scorpius. Maybe it was a mistake, maybe how she handled it was. Regardless, its what she chose and now she's dealing with the consequences, namely how badly she hurt Rose. Often, when caught up as the guilty party, one becomes recklessly defensive, which is exactly what Lily did when she lashed out at Rose. She wants to blame Rose for putting her in this situation though she does know that it isn't Rose's fault. She wants it to be. She knows it's not. As for Harry, I wouldn't necessarily call him a pushover. He's the martyr, always has been in the series. He deals with the pain, hurt, and raw deals. He loves Ginny and he's trying to be understanding as possible. Remember that he was there when Ginny and Draco were together. He was the only one who saw and knew what was going on and he knows exactly how hard it was for Ginny to choose between them. He had plenty of his own insecurities despite that, but Harry has never been the type to turn on family, certainly not his own wife. It would break up his children and everything he's spent the last 26 years building up. His love for his wife is unconditional and he's trying to ride out the rought time their all having. Astoria honestly does not know that anything is wrong. It may seem odd, but she really is that oblivious, plenty of people are. She really is the only one who is entirely unaware and clueless. I'm not trying to state that some characters are bad and others good, just trying to shed some light on why it is such a mess. As fir Draco, I know you've held your comment on him and that's totally fine. I'm not sure what I would say at this point about him as he really has been much less in the limelight. He is central from here on out as he and Ginny must find closure to piece their families back together after the incidenct in the hospital wing. More of his thoughts on everything later, not the immediate next chapter, but certainly soon. I hope the way I try to unravel everything that got tangled up can make senese and really work. I think it does and I hope you will too once it gets to that point. Thanks for your review and I don't mean my response as a rebuttal or anything, just more of what I was thinking while writing. Thanks again and hope you like the rest! ;)

I'm finding it really hard to relate to Lily right now, she's just pissing me off, mostly because my sympathies are with Rose. And poor Ginny, I see her as a stronger character and I'm kind of confused about where her loyalties lie; with Harry or Draco. Oh Creator, make it all happy soon, please!

Author's Response: Haha, I'll make it all happy soon, but it won't happen immediately soon. You'll get your fill of angsty DG though, that I can promise. Everyone's loyalites will come out as the story comes to a close. Only 6 more chapters. ;) Thanks for your review!

This chapter set something of in me. I will not lie you are focusing too much on making rose seem like a bitch. Yes she Has a right to be angry but the telling everyone the secret was a little extreme. You are setting up negative vibes against rose but she is the ultimate victim here.

Loved this chapter though real development, though I am positively angry at scorpius. No Touchy Girls!

Author's Response: Yes, Rose is the victim and I agree with that 100%. I wouldn't call her revealing the secret extreme exactly, after all she knew that Lily and Scorpius already knew and with how upset she was, it honestly just overflowed from her emotions. I promise that she too gets her happy ending and some redemption for her actions in the hospital wing. Every girl has her day when pushed enough. And yes, Scorp was out of line when he shoved her, but Draco put him in his place right away. I'm glad you liked it tho! I'll update soon, everything's rather fast paced from here on out. Especially the DG. Thanks for your review! I'll keep the bitchiness to a limit tho ;)
