Ahhhhh Ginny is Astoria now! I wonder how long the spell will last!? I let out a head bent back, stomach cramp type of laugh as she put her in the ditch. Serves her right! Hmmm Prudence is kinda creepy. Curious about this next chapter Anise. Are you still writing chapters for NYL?

Author's Response: Yes, that's the question... how long will the spell last? ;) We'll all just have to wait and see. Laughing is good! The next chapter.... wow, so much happens. And I CAN say that NYL (and some others, too) will return after Book 1 of DDD is completed and posted. It hasn't gone away! :)

Do you love how we're all "Hell yes, circumvent those vows!" and hardly anyone cares about "Prudence" (except Draco, of course, but you know how I feel about HIM)? I think things will get much more awkward before they get better.

Author's Response: Well, Prudence is not quite what she's seemed to be (which I think you may have figured out.) We (and Ginny) will find out exactly what her relationship with Draco has been in the next chapter... and the answer to a LOT of other mysteries!

Whoa. So Ginny looks like Astoria, and Astoria looks like...Astoria? So where's Ginny? Now this should be interesting. Here's the part where I feel bad for the horse, just a little bit- she knows Draco will never love her for who she is (or at least care about her enough to validate their marriage), and would even go as far as to impersonate another woman. That's a bit depressing. But I still don't like her. I digress...

And Prudence Johnson is back! I knew she was going to be important soon....

I can't wait to see what happens in chapter 105! Great job :)

xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo,
M :)

Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, Ginny was kind of wondering about that too... but just so that readers aren't TOO worried about that point, the Cambio/Scimbare mashup meant that Ginny's body didn't really end up anywhere until the spell situation is somehow resolved. Astoria is a sad character in some ways, I think-- although she's brought a lot of it on herself with her own choices, she's not 100% responsible either. And yes, you were right about Prudence.... we'll learn much more about her next. More soon.

So, that's how you'll do it, fulfill both her vows simultaneously. She won't sleep with him before Astoria. She is Astoria. Also is there a reason you keep switching names between Prudence Temperata, which sounds like temptation, temper, and temporal, and Prudence Johnson?

Author's Response: I can't confirm or deny anything! ;) But PLEASE believe me... when Ginny finally attains what she's been waiting for so long, she won't have to compromise in any way. There is a reason for Prudence's many names, too. More soon!

Interesting...so they could get away with doing stuff if Ginny looked like Astoria?....I'd rather not imagine that thanks. Looking forward to the next chapter! :)

Author's Response: Don't worry! It's okay! That's all I'll say. It's ALL going to be okay. :) More soon.

Oooooooooooh! I have a feeling I know what is going to happen. I am recalling all the oaths Ginny has made, and in this body she certainly can fulfill all of them. But whether you go that route is another story, and whether Draco will see her for herself or as Astoria will certainly be interesting. I mean, whenever Ginny is around him she smells chocolate, so it's possible he has a similar experience with her.

Anyway, I seriously can't wait to read the next chapter. This story just gets more and more intriguing!

Author's Response: Well, this is why I was lacing up the Nikes, but y'all, please believe me when I say that it really IS going to be okay. There are certain things that we just didn't go through 104 chapters to end up having to read about!! But yes, you're right about it becoming more and more intriguing. Ginny's about to find out why she's been following Draco, and that is true in more ways than one.

I wonder what this means? Who-or what- is at St. Mungo's? Guess we'll find out soon enough! Theo is quite possessive of Astoria, and I think he really feels for her. Astoria seems to only love herself. Although, I'm not sure if I interpreted this right, but did they imply that Astoria was flirting with Harry? Well, there goes the dream team right there-they absolutely deserve each other.

Other things I am excited to know more about: the Marriage Law. I wonder if this might affect the bonds and consummation issues?

Your last chapter, by the way, since I didn't get a chance to review, was awesome as well. I loved the insight into Ginny, and the memory of Lucius.

Awaiting chapter 103! These frequent updates are amazing by the way, and I really appreciate it given the fact that RL is always there in the way. When I saw this, it basically made my day :)

xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo,
M :)

Author's Response: Thanks! (Does Happy Helped-To-Make-Someone's-Day Dance. :) Oh, we'll find out VERY soon what's at St. Mungo's... maybe even by the end of the next chapter. I'm not sure if it will fit in or not; that might make it too insanely long, but definitely either there or the start of the one after that. I do think that Theo has some feelings for Astoria, but I really wouldn't bet on hers for him. And you're right-- she's working it with Harry too. I hoped that somebody would catch the Marriage Law ref!! :) More soon....

Aah I think I have an idea of what the twist is going to be, but I'm probably completely wrong!
Eugh Astoria and Theo? So creepy.
And now Ginny's back in St. Mungos... cue lots of flashbacks?

Author's Response: You never know... you might be right. ;) I agree that Astoria/Theo is creepy; if they were both sincere about their feelings, it might not be (Theo comes a lot closer, though.) Actually, no, we don't get flashbacks. That's probably going to be the only one. There was one more I was toying with including (and it was very recent), but I don't think I will. It didn't involve Ginny. Maybe it'll go in an outtake chapter.... Anyway, more soon. :)

Oh my... I was away for a few months and had to read up A LOT and just wow... still loving this story, it is so great and I can't wait to read more :)

Ok, I've been reading the last couple of chapters without reviewing but now I just have to! Here is my guess: I think that when Draco is looking around knocking on walls, he is looking for a secret entrance to the place where his mother is kept - probably in St. Mungos, and that's why he's going into all the soft places. :) I know you can't affirm or deny, but these are my thoughts... Kudos once again on this great story!

Author's Response: Thanks! :) Nope, I can't confirm or deny any guesses, but I will say this: we'll find out SO much about what's really going on in the next few chapters. Action, action, action. And very soon, we'll see Draco again.... ;)

Ahhh, very interesting. This chapter, especially the beginning, had a very dream-like feel, but I wonder if it actually is just a reflection of Ginny's state of mind. Also very curious to know what is under (or at) St. Mungo's, and what Astoria really is planning. Theo seems like a tool to her, so obviously she's planning something (with Lucius).

Looking forward to reading what comes next and how everything is going to tie in together.

Author's Response: Yes, that's a good question-- Ginny saw two things at the start of the chapter, but were they real in any objective sense? We'll find out the answers to everything VERY soon.... and Astoria has lots of evil plans. ;)
Name: nononono reviewed Chapter 103 on Oct 10, 2011 08:32 pm
I was so happy to see that you had updated!

I feel like both Astoria and Theo are faking interest in each other in attempt to use each other.. we know that Astoria is interested in someone else and Theo (as sappy as he may seem here) definitely has an ulterior motive to what he shows Astoria.

I guessed that the portal was to St. Mungo's and was super pleased with myself when i was right! YAY! I hope it will let Ginny confront the root of her problems.. they always seems to lead back to her trauma at St. Mungo's. I feel like this is where all the secrets are locked up!

I'll keep checking back for updates - can't wait!

Author's Response: Thanks! :) Yes, nothing is what it seems to be, although Theo does really have some feeling for Astoria. The backstory here is that he wanted to marry her, and she did give him some encouragement at one point. However, the Notts haven't had real money in a long time, and they became poverty-stricken purebloods when most of their property was confiscated after the war. She just wasn't ever going to choose him over Draco. So there's a lot of resentment in his feelings for Astoria, and if he knew the entire truth, it would be even worse. Yay for figuring things out! And much more soon.

Omg!! THRILLER! I hope Draco comes to save the day!

Author's Response: We'll see Draco pretty soon. But something else is going to happen first, and it'll change EVERYTHING. Nobody has guessed yet what it is. It's been planned for a long long LONG time.

I do believe that everybody is capable of love to be honest, even Astoria. I think that Theo and Astoria would be good together...ok I'm being mushy and romantic but yeah...everybody needs somebody I suppose.

Author's Response: Oh, I think so too. Astoria does love someone in DDD, very much. The problem is that his feelings for her... well, let's just say that they're not the same. :P (And no, it's NOT Draco! Don't worry. ;)
Name: GoldenFawkes reviewed Chapter 103 on Oct 10, 2011 10:23 am
But... WHY?

Don't worry. I know it's coming. I'll wait patiently.

Still waiting.

Yup.

No pressure.

Author's Response: You'll see why.... (runs off, snickering evil-ly.) The truly evil occurrence is coming in the very next chapter. It's been planned since before Chapter 1 was posted.... (more evil, evil snickering.)

Oh, and REVIEW # 2000! YAY! (runs around throwing confetti)

YOUR Gryffindor? Theo has some shady claim on Ginny? And the plot thickens yet again. I'm eager to see what part Theo plays in this besides the lovestruck patsy. I'm still wondering who, if anyone, Astoria truly loves (besides Astoria, of course).

I'm once again in awe of your surreality.

Author's Response: Thanks! (Does Happy Surreality Dance.) Well, Theo's claim exists in... Theo's head. But in his opinion, it's a valid claim nonetheless. Agatha Christie once wrote of a character in one of her books (*Evil Under the Sun*) that she was a perfect murder victim. Ginny isn't a victim, but because of her experiences, she's ended up as a good example of a person who others tend to transfer their obsessions to, whether good or bad. In my experience, very dissociative people are likely to have this quality. (The major question with Draco is whether he feels more for her, and especially whether he'll make the choice to follow his better self in that direction.) So I think that's where Theo is going. And Astoria! Oh yes, she does love someone, all right, and it definitely isn't Draco. We'll learn more about that, in time... ;)
Name: GoldenFawkes reviewed Chapter 102 on Oct 08, 2011 11:56 pm
Damn you, Lucius!

This is the hallway chapter that leads to the grand ballroom of the story, isn't it?

Author's Response: Yes, that's what I thought too... Lucius and Astoria have been getting up to some evil plots here. Good guess! I've been thinking about whether or not to put in one more "hallway" chapter, because even though Ginny can't remember what just happened (at least for now), there's a point where she will need to weigh her options. She knows that Draco needs her. That's huge, and it's much more than he's ever admitted before. But right now, she still just doesn't have the information she needs in order to know whether or not he feels more than that for her. And Ginny will need to know that before she makes some decisions, let's just say!;)

Anyway, I've been having a lot of trouble with the next chapter, and that's when Ginny gets the information. I'm really starting to think that means that it needs to go later, and it doesn't need an entire chapter. So, yes. The next chapter is when things really start to move!
Name: TheTimeMachine reviewed Chapter 102 on Oct 08, 2011 06:57 pm
wow. ok...wow that makes alot of sense. LOL It should have been obvious I suppose, considering what Ginny has been through.

Author's Response: I'm glad that it makes sense to go into more detail about it here. Ginny has been through a lot, but she's a survivor, and DiD is the adaptive response of a survivor. She's going to make it! :)

Oh man, this chapter is crazy! Astoria seems to have gone to the extremes... I'm stumped on how Lucius is now flesh hmmm just when I thought I had a hang on things.

Author's Response: Astoria is pretty desperate by this point. In fact, she'll try to do something really nuts a few chapters from now... I wonder if anyone will guess what it is. I've dropped a few hints, but probably not enough to expect anybody to figure it out. Some other characters in the fic have been convinced that Lucius is not a ghost, let's just say (Draco is one,) but I'm not saying either way. ;)
Name: SometimeSelkie reviewed Chapter 102 on Oct 07, 2011 08:32 pm
Such a creepy Alice in Wonderland vibe at the beginning! But more importantly, finally evidence that Lucius and Astoria are in cahoots! And of course, Astoria's true feelings on her marriage. I'd say "poor Draco" but I'm still mad at him :/

Reading the DSM there, I'm starting to wonder if you haven't employed a bit of misdirection. I know of a character who very much fits A...two distinct personalities the patient may not be aware of at all times, discontinuities of self...though I still think his is magically induced by dear ol' Pop.

Author's Response: Yes, Lucius and Astoria are deeply mired in their evil plans, without a doubt, and there will be much more to come. Poor Draco, indeed. But it's okay. You can feel sorry for Draco and still be mad at him; in fact, that's the kind of Draco that this is, I think. He has many flaws, and he's dangerous to love. In the next few chapters, we'll learn exactly what Ginny decides to do about this conundrum.

Now, about the DSM-V... Ginny fits the diagnostic criteria, without a doubt (and the "experience of possession" is new-- it's probably the biggest change from the DSM-IV-TR. I'm glad I don't live in an apartment. I was yelling "YES! Mwah hahahaha!" at my computer. Anyway...) But you're on to something. I don't think she's the only one.

OMG! This was awesome! Best chapter ever by far! I LOVED it! The intensity, the emotion, even the disgusting creepines of Lucius. This was just amazing. I was completely glued to the screen the whole time I was reading, and I am so, so curious now to know what will happen. Just what are Lucius and Astoria planning? And what has happened to Draco?

I have to say that this: It was too late. She knew it. Her divided mind moved in to protect her, as it had done when she was a defenseless child, and it forgot that which could not be remembered.

This really stood out to me. One of the things I appreciate about your fiction (and I suppose it's a reflection of your work/studies) is that you bring in real psychological problems that arise from trauma. It's not just all depression and going emo--it's suddenly realising there are large blanks in your life that you cannot or will not remember, no matter how important; it's that fear of wondering if you're just like them or if you can ever be pure again. Undoubtedly it's depressing to confront those issues, but it also makes it more real, so thank you for not taking the easy option and just glossing over everything.

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you! (Does Happy Feeling Understood Dance. :) We WILL find out what Lucius and Astoria were planning... in time. But it won't be too much longer. (Cackles in a distinctly evil way.) And Ginny is going to spend the next few chapters learning some things about Draco, let's just say. I am SO glad that the dissociative disorder/trauma stuff is coming through... and I did realize that the only way to make this chapter work was to include it. Much more coming soon!
