Lovely chapter as always. I love anything with Draco and Ginny interacting and Draco shaking his head at her antics. I can't wait for more...pretty please.

This Award Certifies that
....Haniqua....
Updated quickly and is therefore awesome!

Now, can I have the next update soon? :D

Author's Response: I think Draco will be perpetually amused by Ginny's ludicrousness, haha.
I'm working on the next chapter as we speak! 746 words, and counting (which is better than 0 words... and not counting). Will hopefully have a new update for you in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for reviewing!

Oooh this is getting better with each chapter!!! I love the way you portray them as adults, how you are shaping their personalities!
-I suck at reviewing, btw-; just wanted to tell you I love your writting style and your story ^_^

Author's Response: Thanks so much! Ginny is probably less of an adult than she could be, all things considered, but she's got plenty of room to grow.
Don't worry about your review quality too much. I (and any other author, whose work you may review) am grateful for any kind of feedback - even if it's just acknowledgement that SOMEONE out there is reading what we've been posting. So, I really appreciate that you took a moment to do just that! :)

Ohmy I can see that this story has mooooooreeeeee chapters to go and I am soooooo excited to read the next one!

I like how sleek and composed Draco was while Ginny was being frantic about everything and anything lol. I do hope their charade will not be anytime soon deciphered by the press!

Okay my mind is going nuts now thinking what will happen in the next chapters to come so pretty please update soon!

Love this story!

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! Draco is the most infuriating character, IMO, because he somehow manages to be super charming while being so aloof and just kind of quietly laughing at Ginny's outlandish behaviour. Something tells me that they'll manage to keep their charade going a little while longer, though. ;)
So glad you're enjoying it!

Wow I am so grateful you updated this!!!! I really got hook to the story and just like the others who got irritated with Ginny's attitude at first (believe me I can imagine how fiesty she is lol) , I am now amaze how she can be civilize (ahem) with Draco if she wants to.

Im excited for the next chapters to come and I'll be keeping tabs on the development of their plans!!!

Author's Response: Ginny's really managed to grow up in just a few chapters, so clearly Draco is working wonders on her. I think the fact he's so ridiculously charming might have something to do with it. ;)
Thanks so much for taking the time to review, I'm happy you're liking it!

Nice chapter. I love Draco's personality. He knows how Ginny is and how fast he can go. I'm so excited to see where this goes. I'm so excited for when she realizes she really does like him.

Author's Response: It's just a matter of time, and I think Draco is doing a great job of convincing her it's okay for her to be into him. ;)
Thanks so much for reviewing, I'm glad you're enjoying it. :)

Enjoyed this chapter very much! I'm curious how the laws will affect their lifes soon and of course what will also happen at the benefits! Cannot wait for the next update!

Author's Response: It'll be interesting time, to say the least! I'm glad you've enjoyed the story so far, and thank you for taking the time to review!

I'm caught up! I like how much of a lose canon Ginny is in this story. I appreciate that everyone seems to be trying to keep her from exploding. Looking forward to see how this plays out.

Thank you for updating! I love it. at first I was pretty annoyed with Ginny's character, but as I'm reading I see that she's developing and growing. I am looking forward to your next chapter and updates.

Author's Response: I am all about character development, and Ginny has plenty of room to grow (whether she likes it or not).

Thank you for reviewing - I'm glad you're enjoying where I'm taking the fic!

Happy that I check the recent tab, or I might not have know the story has been update- don't think got the update alert earlier! Love the chapie- ginny will be totally different witch, once Draco teach her the do & don't of rich society!

Author's Response: I'm glad you checked it too. ;D

Thanks for the review - Ginny definitely needs to make some changes in her life, but probably not the kind you're thinking of. We wouldn't want her to sacrifice her principles entirely, now, would we?

YES and YAY!! Another chapter! :) (It hasn't been two years. It isn't possible.... no way... I just don't believe it... well, anyway. ;)

I just love this Ginny. Feisty, independent, doggedly determined, dogmatic, and... I don't know... fond of dogma. :) She gets her teeth into something and just doesn't let go, but her weakness is that she keeps marching all the way over the edge unless she's helped to stop. She's so believable. I don't really know why she still has so much animosity towards Draco after several years either (referring to a comment that a previous reviewer made), but there are so many reasons that would make sense... it's just that they're not really explained here... so I think that's believable too. And this chappie earned the NC-17 rating! ;)

There's just so much to this story; it gets me engaged with the idea of reading and writing D/G all over again, and that's a priceless gift. So. It isn't going to be 21 months until the next update... RIGHT??? (glares sternly.) MORE. Soon. :)

Author's Response: I like this Ginny too - I enjoy writing how proud she is, even though she's a struggle to write sometimes because she's trapped in a corner being stubborn and I have to try to work out how another character will snap her out of it, haha. Needless to say, I'm sure Draco will get very good at it, soon enough. ;)

Anyway - if my fic is engaging enough to compel other authors to write more fanfic, I think that's the best compliment I've ever gotten!

Thanks for reviewing! And I will definitely attempt to beat my 21 month bench mark... I'll aim for 20 months, this time. XD

Hey,

I really like this story so far, I'm interested how Draco and Ginny's relationship will progress. Although, I do find this Ginny to be slightly off-canon, holding on to her views about Malfoy after 10 years, despite the fact that everyone else seems to have moved on. Or, we just don't know what happened to her in those 10 years.. :)

Anyways, I liked the story, and the plot (I actually like reading arranged marriages stories, but they generally don't come off "realistic" - but this one seems to be heading in an interesting direction!), I can't wait to see where it goes. I think you write really well, the script flows naturally and is enjoyable. I hope you will continue the story!

Cheers!

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing - a new chapter will be posted in the next few days (under two years later!) and hopefully that will give more insight into Ginny's character. Would love to have more feedback on Ginny's characterisation after after you read it!

Just stumbled upon this story, and I love it! You write really well. Is there any chance you're going to continue it, or has it been abandoned?

Author's Response: Thank you! It's not totally abandoned yet - I really, really want to finish it, but I'm struggling to find the time at the moment. Things have gotten crazy between work and study, but I am hoping to get back to this soon. In the meantime, I'm in the middle of updating another story of mine that was completed and posted earlier this year for a Fic Exchange - The Malfoy Inquisition. Feel free to check it out via my profile, I'll be posting the final two chapters over the next couple of weeks.
If you're interested in reading something with similar themes to OML, I'd really recommend reading idreamofdraco's new fic The Dating Charade. She wrote it for the same exchange I participated in, so it's completed (and amazing) and she's in the middle of posting it here. Or you could read basically anything else she's written because she's fantastic.

This fic continues to be a pleasure to read. :)

Your Ginny is so distinctive, with so many unique aspects to her personality-- we know a lot about who she is, and we know that she's not generic. We're always interested in learning the next thing about this Ginny. She's passionate about her convictions, very stubborn, never knows quite when to quit or to stop digging herself in deeper and deeper...

Good Examples:
I was pretty sure I’d used that parchment as emergency toilet paper already – ignoring the fact I wasn’t confident that I knew how to safely turn the oven on.

Hermione picked up her copy of the Prophet and turned a few pages, before reading aloud: “‘Harpies’ star chaser threatens opposing team: ‘Feminists will take over the world.’”
“That’s a misquote!”

HA.
Draco is also such a complex character here... and his motives are clearly mixed, but we know that he's not going to turn out to be neither fluffy nor Teh Embodiment of Evil.

I really look forward to seeing where this one goes! :)

Author's Response: Thank you! I confess I had a little too much fun with that toilet paper line, and kind of sat there congratulating myself on how clever I was after I wrote it (read: not that clever).

Anyway, more Draco to come! And he is very complex (at least, was intentionally written so), just as people generally tend to be. Hopefully Ginny becomes interested in drilling through those layers soon.

Poor Ginny! Why is everyone pushing Draco Malfoy at her?? Why can't they see that she wants to hate him from afar! And that, you know, he was awful several years ago, when he was a kid living in a very strained sort of environment.

One thing that I love about Ginny in this so far, is that she is one of the rational people campaigning against this marriage law, and yet she's seen as (and sometimes even acts) really irrational! Like, I think it's her hot head making her rush in to grab the bull by the horns without thinking about where the horns are or how they'll stab her in the process. Unfortunately, Draco doesn't have that luxury, to just do as he pleases. He has a carefully crafted image to maintain. And as you said in your email, he's in a position of trust. He can't lose that or he'll lose his own credibility.

I wonder how he's going to help Ginny out. Will he bring up her reputation, or will she pull his down? I can see it going either way, honestly. Will he act more like an adviser? Crunching numbers, helping her with her image, I don't even know, etc?

I've come to a point in my fan fic writing career (?) where I'm really ambivalent to Hermione, leaning on the side of dislike. Or, well, I guess I don't dislike her, but I see how she's really judgmental and obnoxious, and I kind of like writing that. I think a lot of people make Hermione and Ginny BFFs, but they had their moments where they didn't get along in the books, too, so they're not perfect BFFs. What I like about Hermione in this story is that she and Ginny aren't the cliche/stereotypical girl best friends. They're more like partners in crime, where Hermione is reasonable and Ginny is the infamous one. It's a nice dynamic, and I love seeing them get along while still being themselves. I've always thought Ron and Hermione would learn how to handle each other better as they matured and fight less, and I could totally see Hermione relaxing a bit and maturing in her relationship with Ginny, too. And I just love that Hermione is going on these rampages against unjust laws while pregnant. Like, if that's not Hermione, what is, right? I dig it.

I just generally like that Ginny has a good heart, she has the right idea, but she's going about it all so irrationally. But she's surrounded by reasonable people, which makes her look even more unreasonable as a result. I'm interested to see if there's a reason for Ginny's irrationality, though I hesitate to call her irrational. She's obviously biased and that's clouding her judgment a little, to the point where she's blind to what is actually happening to her and around her because she is so set on her campaign. She can't see how everyone else perceives her.

I am also interested to see more about this marriage law! Will they get it repealed or will it go into effect and THEN be repealed?? I'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE!

Great job and can't wait for the next part!

Author's Response: Because Draco Malfoy has got the Midas touch. u_u

*laughs* As you are well aware, keeping Ginny that way is a tough act. But it's for her development, I swear - she just needs to grow up a little bit. ;) Anyway, so the ramifications of how that will affect Draco will come into play later on, so you'll just have to wait and see!

FF career! I love it, it reminds me of the Hunger Games. *thumbs up* You know, I never really liked Hermione (and I still don't), but I find that she's usually a pretty convenient character to have around. Like, she's very much the Jiminy Cricket of the HP series, if that makes sense lol, and of course that fits in nicely with this story. Hermione and Ginny as BFF's annoys me, just because I feel like one - or both - of them has to be pretty OOC for that to happen? And it also annoys me because it ties in with the whole 'Harry, Hermione and Ron are friends and Ginny is kind of just there in the ether because she is neither in the group nor does she have her own life' kind of characterisation that Rowling ravished her with in the books. And that's not on. u_u Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying what's happened with their dynamic in this!

Isn't that just the Gryff way, really? Misguided-with-good-intentions basically sums up most of Gryffindor house (okay, not "most", but "some", and by "some" I mean mostly Ron and Harry), at least! ;) But hopefully Ginny undergoes some character growth soon and she can actually sort herself out, lol.

Thank you for reviewing (and being an awesome beta)! :D

I'm impressed. This is as promised a more realistic version of the marriage law fic. I think it's because your fic gives a lot more background information about the opposition to the law while most people are interested in merely jumping into the dg of it all. This is an interesting starting and I think the appearance of malfoy and the rationale of theo was a great touch. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: Ah, thank you so much! I'm really trying to give the concept some substance here, as well as trying to keep the characters relatively in character, so I'm so glad you think so.
