This was an all round awesome chapter. I loved the interaction with Draco, Ron and harry at the end. Draco has two brother to go now, almost there haha. I like how strong Arthur Weasley is and how he's independently thinking about the safety of Ginny and how his and mollys views are vastly different. That's so refreshing and interesting to see.
I can't wait to read then crash chapter! Hello date time! I love how adorable and nervous they both are around each other. The small interactions like hand holding having so much feeling and meaning is beautiful.
Great all round chapter, no mehhh about it!!!

Oh my god, what an amazing beginning! It's been a long time since I've been this excited over a fanfic, but I like your writing style and the way you've fleshed out these characters so quickly.

Omg??? I'm so glad there's a second chapter already posted because I HAVE to know what's going on. I can't remember the last time I read a story where Draco is a Healer, so it feels like a brand new concept just because I haven't read it much. I love the idea, and I was getting the vibe that Draco DID like Ginny even before the doppelganger admitted it to her. But now I'm not quite sure.... Who is this second Draco Malfoy?? Is he after Ginny in a malevolent way? I gotsta know!
What a great start to your story and I can't wait to read the next chapter!

I'm really loving this so far!
I love the casual low-key flirting of Ginny and the first Draco, and her stubbornness is so on point. You've really captured the not-quite-friends-but -regular-enough-acquaintances-and-mutual-friends-it's-not-that-awkward level of relationship.
And I was not expecting that twist at the end! So intriguing. Was he just a hallucination? A Malfoy impersonator? A duplicate/clone?
Can't wait to read more.

LOVE! Love, love, love.
The longer version is: so many things about this to like. You actually wrote a Hermione that isn't annoying. To me, anyway, that's amazing. ;) I love this version of Ginny's life, and it feels quite honestly so much more believable than what we got in the Epilogue of Doom and Destruction. In the actual universe as it was established in the books (and by the laws of basic reality), it's so much more likely that Ginny would have married Harry, but the marriage wouldn't have worked out in the long run. The injury was an interesting plot device, and it's very believable too. And THEN... what you've done with the characters!
It was impossible to know exactly what to think when Draco originally showed up on Ginny's doorstep, largely because you'd already laid the foundation for a different Draco than most readers expect. His character is very believable (doing so well with potions could logically lead to being a Healer.) But the sudden about-face of his attitude towards Ginny... there did seem to be something off.
And of course, there did turn out to be. But why? And exactly what happened to Ginny at the end of this chapter? This narrative is really intriguing in its own right, not just as a fanfic-- and that's what makes it work so well. REALLY looking forward to more! :)

As I've gotten older, I've really come to respect and love Hermione, so I couldn't write her any other way. And I completely agree with you on the H/G relationship in the epilogue--it's actually one of the things that bothered me the most (and still would have even if I wasn't a rabid D/Ger...). Relationships just don't run on wishes. As for the healer role, a large part of medicine is retaining knowledge and knowing when to apply it, and given that he was right behind Hermione in marks I'm thinking he could do very well as a Healer. Hopefully I'll manage to do that idea justice as the story continues. ;D Thanks again!

I thought this was going in a completely different direction, until the last section! I really enjoyed the twist at the end. I was lulled into thinking it was one kind of story and now it looks like it will be another. I'm excited to see what happens next! Bravo, and welcome back!
