In a series of vignettes spanning ten years, Draco and Ginny form an enduring friendship, which eventually leads to more. Drugged confessions, Playstation abuse, weddings, Christmas shopping, blind dates, stripteases, an exploding wand, and R/Hr on the side. Each chapter corresponds to an element of a challenge, including a required item and phrase.Category: Long and Completed
This is one of those fics that I come across every six months or so and remember why it was so amazing. There are parts where I go, "Oh, that's where that came from!" because some part of another story will remind me of a scene from this one, and I won't for the life of me remember that it originated from one of your wonderful fics. Now, I think I'll finally add this to my list of favorites and rid myself of the misery.
This really is, however, a fantastic story of the friendship involved in loving someone. I've never grown tired of reading it. Eternal kudos to you and your talented imagination! =]
Ginny sets the record straightCategory: Works in Progress
One time, I was asked, "If you could choose to be any age, how old (or young) would you like to be?" I told that person "Seventy-three," and they stared at me like I was crazy. Right now, I am only an eighteen-year-old girl.
I've always loved hearing the stories, adventures, wisdom, and life-lessons of the elderly, and (from what I have read so far of your story) I feel like your writing is capturing the exact essence of a human life well-lived and worth its spot in history. The way you have characterized Ginny is very intriguing, and I love how you are integrating other perspectives into the story while still making it her own.
This hasn't been updated in quite a long time, but I hope that someday you might consider finishing the story. It is a wonderful piece! =]
"The Mask of Love" - The fates of Draco Malfoy and Ginevra Weasley are written in the stars. They just need a little push in the right direction. The outcome? Just a little shift in the power scheme of the war. Will eventually earn the rating NC-17. Much later into the story, however.Category: Works in Progress
This is a fantastic beginning, I am very excited to see where you take the plot! The way you incorporated both of their births together is very intriguing, especially since I've now got a little nag about whether the prophecies are even true! Please continue! =]
Draco kidnaps Ginny on the pretense of saving her. WARNINGS: angst, VIOLENCE, abuse, drama, smut, mean & evil Draco, and absolutely no happy endings what so ever!Category: Long and Completed
This fic was spectacularly written, but I can't get over the last chapter. I have to admit, I expected some sort of delusional attempt at freedom from Ginny, even after the revelation of Stockholm Syndrome. And this ending just made me sick. Not because of how it was written, but because in my mind it depicted Ginny as a failure. I'm a big fan of heroines and she was anything but.
So...sorry if this review is kind of flame-ish. This is probably the first story of yours that I wasn't satisfied with; so at least I can be happy knowing you're a fantastic author with many different fics to choose from! Thank you for that, and please keep writing!
Malfoy is acting suspiciously, and the Trio immediately assumes the worst. However, when Blaise Zabini offers Ginny a different perspective, she begins to wonder if maybe all of their beliefs concerning Draco are just...misconceptions. But that's only the beginning.Category: Long and Completed
WOW! Honestly, I hardly ever read long fics, because they tend to drag on and on. But this...it was nearly twice as long as most and definitely worth it! I was completely hooked and have been reading it non-stop for two days! I can't wait to checkout anything else you've written. This was a perfect ending--not showing everything, but no loose ends to speak of; I wouldn't have it any other way!
Such a great job. I loved it! =D
p.s. Was I the only one who laughed in chapter 38[?], where you wrote something along the lines of "Ginny's mum seemed to be mollified"? And her mum's name is Molly...okay, well I laughed out loud at it, maybe I'm just a dork!
Draco and Ginny hate each other with a passion. The end. Well, no, not really.Category: Long and Completed
absolutely brilliant! and with the perfect dose of humour as well; i can't wait for the next chapters! =D
Ginny is twenty four, and the war rages on. Draco is a Death Eater, and he needs her help. Of course, he doesn't give her a choice. Now she's surrounded by the enemy. She begins to see that not everything is black and white. Can she come to terms with her new role in his life?Category: Works in Progress
This is such a great story! I had to read the entire thing in one sitting. I think it's wonderful how you integrated the love into their relationship. So many stories focus on the passion in the romance, rather than the actual feelings that create that passion. Your take on Draco and Ginny is fantastic. I can't wait for more!
A million shattered pieces/ Then let it be/ I'll tell you tales you won't believe/ I'll tell you anyway/ I'll be released. (BT - Lullaby for Gaia)Category: Long and Completed
I really like this so far! I hope you continue it soon! =]
Author's Response: The entire story is already written, and it\'s 13 chapters of darkness. I\'m glad you like it, though the story\'s about to take a nosedive...
it's definitely depressing in a way, but this story is also written in a refreshingly different perspective. it's nice to see this, since many people brush off that she wasn't affected. & you have an amazing writing style. great work!
Author's Response: I\'m glad you\'re enjoying it so far, as dark as it is. :)
Draco still thought that Harry was the hurdle that he had to jump. He didn't understand the influence that one teenage boy had on an innocent first year Ginny.Category: Completed Short Stories
Superb! I'd ask for more, but I think that you did a fantastic job of tying up the loose ends while still leaving a bit of mystery to it all. And I absolutely love your take on Ginny's emotions. It seems like so many stories overlook the effect Tom had on her, and I'm glad you don't ignore that. The way he seeped into the fic (but to nobody's knowledge but Ginny alone) makes it seem like he integrated himself into her soul. Like, you wouldn't get Ginny's heart without Tom as well. I really enjoyed reading this, your writing is amazing! =]
Author's Response: Thank you very much. That was very uplifting to read. I'm glad someone is content with it as a one shot.
After losing Harry, Ginny must learn to let go of the past and begin to live again. Before she can be free, she has to let go of a memory from her childhood that is haunting her life. Even with his diary destroyed, he still holds sway over her life and heart, leaving Draco as a pale second to the cruel beauty that is Tom Riddle.Category: Works in Progress
This is written for those who wanted more of my one-shot. Now you can have the tale from the beginning.
I have to say, this is one of the best fics I have read in a great while! I was hooked even at the first paragraph; although there wasn't half as much dialogue as I was expecting in the opening chapter, your vivid depictions of the characters' actions and emotions more than made up for it!
I am particularly fond of the constant banter between Draco and Ginny. It seems to have its own niche in their relationship, and I love how you are able to make me feel their reactions as they pursue the quit wit of each other's company. You also seem to do so without entirely losing Draco's aristocratic background and Ginny's blunt manner. In addition, I am quite excited to see where the undertones of Tom Riddle lead to!
You are a fantastic author, and well worth the wait of future updates! Although, I must humor myself and ask you to update soon! =] I'm entirely positive that quick updates would not marr your incredible talent with words, nor my penchant for them!
On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, nine ladies dancing . . .Category: Completed Short Stories
"Dance with me, Weasley."
"Fine. But only to keep you safe from Mrs. Delacour."
Oh my word! If this is what you produce under extreme writer's block then I hope it never goes away, ever! Utterly fantastic fic, and it made me laugh the entire way. I loved it! =D
Ginny and Draco fight about where to spend Christmas, but something deeper seems to be causing problems. Can their marriage survive?Category: Completed Short Stories
“He watched her face transform as Vulnerable Ginny became Extremely Brassed Off Ginny. Her eyebrow went up. ‘You’re doing that intolerable git routine you’re so good at’ she drawled.”
I think I might have to emplore you to put some effort into another humor fic! This one was absolutely wondeful! I have to admit, I kind of guessed Ginny's problem halfway through, but the fact that your writing kept me wanting to finish the story even with the secret out shows how great this fic was! The ferret bit was also a wonderful touch. I loved how she conned him into having to keep it! =]
Draco doesn't remember their past together, and now she's just a Weasley to him. Ginny will do anything -jump through all the hoops, pose as an interior decorator, tap dance -ANYTHING- to break the spell that erased his memory and make him love her again.Category: Long and Completed
So, I absolutely hated the end of the chapter...because that's what it was, the END! Please, please, please add more chapters soon! This is a fantastic story! =D
Author's Response: Yay! Awesome review! Thanks. ^_^
FANTASTIC! This story is draws me in so fast, and it's a perfect mix of bittersweet that keeps me wanting to read more, more, more! Please post soon! Although I must admit that your updates are very quick. Thanks! =]
AGH! I can't decide which is better, the frustration of Draco not remembering or knowing that he will eventually! Both aspects seem to contribute such great undertones to this fic, and I love your take on Ginny's emotions and the constantly changing interactions between the two! Such a wonderful fic, I cannot wait to read more! =]
Author's Response:
I LOVED your review, because I know exactly what you mean about "enjoying the frustration" of their predicament! I'm glad you like the D/Gness and Ginny's emotional turmoil! I wanted to make it realistic and not over the top, so hearing your praise on this particular point is wonderful validation. Thanks for your awesome review! ^_^
SQUEEEEE! They kissed, I love it. And once again, Draco's confusion is totally endearing. I also loved the whole bit with Ginny wearing his old boxers; so cute!
With so many nominations and awards in this fic, you should get one too! Great chapter! =]
Ginny never thought Draco Malfoy would become her guardian...But then, he never thought she would become his.One-shot.Category: Completed Short Stories
Ugh! I don't think I'll ever like the feeling I have when I finish angsty fics, but I can't seem to stop reading them! Somehow love seems that much more potent when it's snatched away, and your writing fits the bill perfectly!
I especially liked the line, "How ironic, he thought, almost detachedly, that he should discover his heart was alive, and beating, moments before it died." Work of art.
Hey! Thanks so much for this wonderful review!
I know exactly what you mean! True love seems to be all the more powerful when it's faced with great obstacles. In this case I feel that love won, even if it wasn't a happy ending. ^_^
Ginny always knew there was something wrong with her eyes.Category: Completed Fiction
Honestly, I wasn't sure about this fic at first. Despite being very well written, it almost seemed too original to even be plausible with my imagination. But I'm so glad I continued to read the following chapters! I really love the relationship you've created between Draco and Ginny, and that there isn't a wimpy Ginny to speak of. And, of course, now we're getting to see some action! Please keep writing, I cannot wait to read what comes next! =]
It seems to me like Lucius was quite a bit out of character, but I'm intrigued to see how this plays out! =]
Draco is proud and prejudiced, but he might not be the only one.Category: Works in Progress
I'm truly enjoying this fic adaptation! You're doing Austen's work justice and I love how you've incorporated it so smoothly into the plot! Very well written, I can't wait to read more! =]
Author's Response: Thank you for your review!
A knock sounded at her door, and Ginny smiled slightly. Five years of absolute closeness, yet Draco refused to be ‘vulgar.’ Knocking on the door, he said, was more honorable than simply bursting into her home or appearing in her fireplace. Giving her the privacy she needed, he said, was more upstanding than forcing his company on her when unwanted.Category: Works in Progress
Fantastic story! I really loved how you portrayed the relationship between Ginny and Draco, their banter made the dialogue humorous and wonderful to read! The ending was very cute, I really enjoyed how everything was wrapped up. Amazing fic! =]
Author's Response: Thank you so-so much! I really appreciate your words, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the story!
This is really intriguing so far, I can't wait to read more of your writing! I truly enjoy fics that involve Ginny and Draco as best mates; some consider it highly out of character, but I love reading it! Fantastic job!
Will you be able to post the rest of your chapters during the two week submission break? I hope so, I can't wait for the next chapter! =]
Fresh-faced Ministry employee meets her... nemesis?Category: Works in Progress
Written by Mynuet and Persephone33.
I am enjoying this fic very much so far; soon won't be soon enough for another update! What really drew me in was the personality involved, especially with Ginny. I love that she is smart and even a tad sarcastic, certainly not to be overpowered by Draco. But her simplistic morals still seem to be intact, which (to me) are a huge part of her character.
I also truly adore the plot and what was written for the RPG. This is a very exciting bit, and I'm am very much looking forward to what's next! =]
I push away from the bed, or it pushes me away, and I grip my chair. My eyes don’t leave Draco’s thin face, and I marvel at the silvery white of his hair and eyebrows and eyelashes, itching to touch them, but death won’t allow me; I have respect for the dead.Category: Completed Short Stories
I absolutely loved this story, your dapple in the angst genre was more than worth it! It might sound odd, but I found myself happy as I read this story. Generally I find angst stories very depressing (for obvious reasons), and the ending was that as well, but the love pouring from this story still gave me a somewhat giddy feeling as I read it. I believe that your style of writing and the way the you presented the many perspectives of Ginny and Draco's encounters all attributed to this goofy, bittersweet emotion of the fic.
Again, splendid fic! =D
