I'm really enjoying this sequel, and so looking forward to its unfolding.
So many mysteries at this point in the story! Hermione's Patronus is an otter, isn't it? If it's her, how could she know about Draco's home? Is Draco consulting Pansy for advice on marrying Ginny, or fishing for whether Pansy would marry him? What's the secret in Bellatrix's Gringotts vault? And, of course, when will Draco and Ginny realize their feelings? Thank you for spinning this ambitious tale!
Squee! That was wonderful. Moving, sweet, and funny! You did a wonderful job conveying the emotional rollercoaster they were on, from low to high. Also, Ginny' s proposal was fabulous.
Draco's failing at the mission given to him by the Dark Lord, his relationship with Pansy is strained, and Snape won't stop asking questions. He needs help desperately, but when he receives it, he's drawn into more intrigue than he bargained for. His saviour may need some saving herself.Category: Long and Completed
I am so glad you're posting this here!
Sincerely,
a fan on livejournal
Author's Response: *waves madly* Thanks! The first thought I had when I realised I'd finally written a proper(?) D/G romance was "woohoo, I can post this to FIA!"
In which Dumbledore's incessant meddling pays off as Harry Potter finally gets a break and Draco Malfoy is screwed....sort of. Written for The DG Forum Fic Exchange - Spring 2010.Category: Works in Progress
I ADORE this story! Seeing Draco struggling to be Harry-like, failing in ways he has no clue about, and exploiting Gryffindor trust is pure brilliance. Also " 'Draco Malfoy' won't return my owls", and Ginny's response - hysterical. I love how you play up the differences between Draco and Harry by making them live them out, and am dying to see Draco struggle further and learn what Harry is up to. So looking forward to more.
Author's Response:
Yay! What an AWESOME review!
You totally inspired me to go work on chapter four; I've had this a bit neglected, but you just made me excited about it again. Thank you so much! ^_^
When Ginny pulls the plug on her not so fairytale marriage, she accepts an offer from her now ex-husband's partner that will end up changing both of their lives.Category: Works in Progress
Hmm, Harry not wanting their unborn child as a reason for Ginny leaving, how interesting! I like your starting-over Ginny, and your already-started-over Draco intrigues me. Of course she's going to stay at Draco's house for a while... unless they have a misunderstanding in the future... will they?
In the back of her mind, Ginny had always sensed there would be wild adventures with her and Harry. The early days of their time together–fighting evil and playing sport–felt like lifetimes ago. The most adventuresome thing they had done together in recent memory was a spontaneous shagging in the garden. It was so domestic that it pained her how common they were. The greatest wizard of his generation, and his wife, getting their thrills from a shag in the garden. She had never thought this future would be hers.Category: Long and Completed
This is a very compelling playing out of unexamined doubts stifled at the beginning of a relationship. I especially like Ginny resenting being forced to be the disciplinarian. Even though she did grow up seeing her mother primarily play that role, that doesn't mean she wants to relive it herself. We all know Ginny is a firecracker, and this version of her life would bore her to tears. Great job painting that picture!

Ooh, yay! Lovely snark from the sinister mind of seegrim.
Draco Malfoy may be head of SpecOps, but that doesn’t mean he’s above a little smash-and-grab job. And – hey, wait, is that Ginny Weasley?Category: Completed Short Stories
Written for the 2009 D/G Fic Exchange.
I am so glad you are posting this on FIA! I loved it in the 2009 dgficexchange on livejournal. Bravo!
Must leave a proper review this time. I love the pace of this story, with its quick changes in direction and the final slam dunk of the last few lines. It's a wild ride! Harry's and Luna's (in absentia) cameos are lovely as well. Overall, upon finishing it I want to sigh and immediately read it again. Bravo!
Author's Response: Aw, I can't believe you remembered my little ol' story all this time! Thank you so much, I'm so glad you liked it!
Ginny skips out on her last year at Hogwarts to go in search of answers in a troubled post-Voldemort world. What she finds along the way is a mad-eyed mentor, a mystery around the murder of Lucius Malfoy, and an adventure that teaches her far more than she thought possible.Category: Long and Completed
Written for tudorrose1533 in the 2011 DG Fic Exchange. Nominated in six categories, winner: Best Minor character.Note: this story will have one additional scene that was not part of the fic exchange posting. It will be NC-17.
This was one of my favorite-ist story on the ficexchange this year, and I am so glad you are posting it here! Mad-Eye rocks (thank you for resurrecting him) and is spot-on, and your passionate, hurting Ginny is just as I would picture her to be. Even though I know how the story goes and ends (I read it a few times already at the dgficexchange) I will happily squee along every bump all over again. To learn that you pulled this together relatively quickly just speaks more to your talent.
Author's Response: Aww! You are so sweet! I have been going over the story prior to posting here and I have to say that I didn't realize how good Mad-Eye was. I wanted to use him more later in the story, but I ran high on the word count. That said, since I don't have a word limit here, I've decided to expand a bit on Draco and Ginny's night together, so you have something new to look forward to. :) Thank you again for being a fan of my story.
Hugs!

SO many things to love in this chapter! (And WHY are there not more reviews of its fabulousness?)
1) Ginny assuming Draco's entrance is yet another Mad Eye training scenario - and Draco's irritated reaction to her 'constant vigilance' stance with him.
2) The typewriter annoying Ginny with its unwanted cooperation. :))))) And Ginny annoying Malfoy with her ultra-precise intake interview.
3) This line:
“To find who's behind ol' Lucius's death o' course,” he replied, with a glint of mischief in his eye that reminded her painfully of Dumbledore.
*guh* knife to the heart with that Moody/Dumbledore reference.
4) The whole entire bar scene just sizzles. SIZZLES. Do you remember an art piece from a dgficexchange a few yrs ago with Ginny in a skirt and fitted blouse (and many, many buttons), chin defiantly up in the air, and Draco in her space, fingers on her leg, annoying smirk on his face? Well, this scene IS THAT ART WORK. I swear.
5) The unwitting admissions from Ginny about her emotional reasons for taking her job, and the understanding from Draco - guh - just layers emotional sympatico onto the already smoking hot physical chemistry between them. With the friction of their argument, of course it explodes into a fireball of lust and connection. *fans self*
In a nutshell: you rock.
Author's Response: Oh you are such a darling! :)
I did go in search of the drawing you mentioned and I think you are absolutely right. It matches this scene perfectly! Thanks for giving such a great visual to embellish my story.
Gosh, I love Moody and I am so very happy that the readers saw him the way I'd intended. I see him as someone who understands Ginny's feelings very much. Despite his harsh exterior, he cares deeply. He's lost friends over many years and I see him as someone who feels each loss right through his soul. He sees Ginny's grief, even if she doesn't see it herself and he can strongly relate to the pain she's going through. So, he's easing her along, helping her find her way. I'm sure that he and Kingsley are sending back reports to her parents on how she's doing almost every step of the way. ;) Ginny thinks she's alone, but really, it's quite the opposite.
So, thank you again for your incredibly thoughtful comments. Gosh, you made my day.
Hugs!

Awesome! Go Ginny! Your descriptions and dialogue are very good, and I would love to read more of your writing.

Haha, lapdance! Oh, Draco. This was very good, and I can't believe I've never read the analogy between menstrual women & werewolves before. Inspired!
Author's Response: LOL, thanks. I admit I was channelling myself a lot through Ginny in this one, but it was fun to write. The werewolf analogy just popped into my head as I was writing. I swear my characters are much wittier than I am, which I will never understand since everything comes from my head, haha.
An unexpected attraction to the manager of the new Hogsmeade location of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes inspires Draco to stake his own claim in the business of daydreams. The plot thickens! Excellent story so far -- are they drawing closer or not?! I can see why this won an award. The writing and pacing is superb.
Author's Response: Thank you so so much!!! :D
