Written for the 2006 DG_Smutakkah fic exchange. It hasn’t always been an easy road for them, but sometimes it takes getting really good and lost to find the way home again.Category: Long and Completed
*happy sigh* It was a rough go, but all is well that ends well and this ends very well. And Ginny is one lucky witch. *melts*
Author's Response: Oh thank goodness!! I was a little worried I was losing you somewhere in the middle chapters, but I suppose I should have taken it as a good sign you were that annoyed with Draco. It was kind of nice to write an \"earned\" happy ending. The first time around, they just sort of fell into love, but the second it was far more of a deliberate choice to let past hurts go and really take a chance with each other. Somehow that makes it even sweeter! Thanks so much and glad you stuck it out until the end! ~Ves
After twelve years, Draco is released from prison.Category: Completed Short Stories
I loved this when I read over at the exchange, and it's still just as wonderful. Thank you for writing it!!
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing! I\'m so glad you liked it!
A conversation Draco overhears sends him into a fit of rage.Category: Completed Short Stories
Draco should consider himself lucky that his wife didn't hex him into the next century for being so gosh darn stupid! This was adorable, and Draco was so spot on. I can just see him being jealous and livid and beyond words because he's such a jealous, possessive little prat! I loved it!
Author's Response: I\'m so glad you liked it! Poor Draco would have a much less stressful life if he would just stop to think and ask questions before he reacted. But if he didn\'t, we wouldn\'t love him so much. And you\'re right that he is lucky that Ginny feels the same way. Thanks for the review!
And then, someday, they may recall we were not too young at all. --Nat King ColeCategory: Completed Short Stories
One word: Fabo! Loved it.
Ginny wasn’t quite sure how the situation had spun so wildly out of control.Category: Completed Short Stories
BRAVO! Draco is amazingly dense and the world's biggest prat, although he's a sweet one. Nev, poor thing, always gets caught up in things not of his own making. And poor Gin Gin. She just has no clue.
Which means that there needs to be a sequel to sort this mess out...
A rumor about Draco Malfoy is going around Hogwarts and Ginny must discover if there is truth to it. (Formerly titled, Ginny Weasley and the Slytherin's Trouser Snake.)Category: Completed Short Stories
*snickers* Those gosh darn kids, always trying to catch a quick shag and falling in love instead. Love it. I got a good sense of your wry humor from this. Completely lovely. *happy sigh*
*DH SPOILERS* Theorizing that one could time travel within his own lifetime, Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished ....Category: Works in Progress
Uhhh I had first review and you deleted it! Bah. Well, you already know how much I adore this. Sam can fix any of Draco problems (and Jo's crappy canon problems as well). I can't wait to see more since I know there is more and knows where it is going. Btw, Myn, have I told you lately you are made of awesome? No, well, you ARE!
Author's Response: I was having some problems with uploading, so I had to delete and reupload. Oy. It should be okay now.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! It just keeps getting better and better. This is even better than the original idea for this fic from TWO YEARS ago. I can just imagine Draco being quite a little snot and not wanting to give up information that might be helpful. And poor Sam, he truly is out of his league in this leap. It's a good thing he has dumb luck!
Ginny supervises Draco's community service.Category: Completed Short Stories
*utterly happy sigh* Perfection, but I expect no less from you :)
Author's Response: Pssh. Thank you very much. You\'re a sweetheart. :)
Who knew happily-ever-after could have an expiration date? New beginnings are hard, but when they happen in the middle of your life, they're infinitely more so.Category: Works in Progress
I greatly appreciate your very lovely undoing of that horrible epilogue. We all know that Ginny is meant to be with Draco, it just takes her a while to figure it out. I can't wait to see how things evolve. I foresee Harry being a moderate problem here only because he's only interested in his creature comforts. I already love where this is going - meeting at a garden club meeting *snerks* Definitely original and some how perfect.
Author's Response: *smooches the much-better epilogue Pud made to assuage the D/G grief* Every one of us is pounding the keyboard to fix that... thing tacked on the end of DH. [/disgust for the EoD]
Thanks for the wonderful compliments, and I'm glad it's moderately original! Can you tell I was weeding the garden as I plotted this fic? ;)
Well, I thought I left a review, but it didn't show up. Well, poo. Anyway...
*hugs Ginny* The hardest thing you can ever do is walk away from something you've invest 25 years in. I admire your portrayal of this as realistic and natural, they love each other, but are not in love any longer. I also greatly appreciate you have sidestepped the cliches of adultery and spousal abuse as the reasons behind the unhappiness - sometimes people just change. I look forward to seeing how all of this will sort itself out. I actually like Harry here a teeny, tiny bit and I normally hate him so that says something about your wonderful characterizations.
Author's Response: It\'s a pretty mature theme, but still something I think all of us can relate to, in some form, in our own lives. Yeah- I\'m pretty over the adultery/abuse factor myself at the moment.
*THUD* Did you actaully write that you don\'t despise Harry with a flaming passion here? ... Are you feeling well? :D That just might be the nicest thing anyone\'s written about one of my fics ever.
Oh Gin is falling for Draco already and she doesn't even know it. *smiles*
This was a lovely chapter full of D/G goodness. I love how they have such an easy companionship, they have matured, they share a common experience, and he really brings out a side of her she thought was long dead. *more happy sighs*
Although I think the blissful beginning will become a little rocky as Gin breaks it to her kids about the split, but Draco will be there with advice. There is just no way around it, but in the end it's better for everyone. The kids are just going to have trust her. I can't wait to see how things play out.
You wanna know what the best part of this chapter was? No Harry *grins*
Well, I suppose the cat is out of the bag now eh? Harry is well aware of the budding friendship between his soon to be ex-wife and the man he still can't stand, and now the kids have been introduced to him properly. It will help ease the transition come summer.
Although I do have a feeling Harry is going to kick up a fuss because he refuses to let go of petty childhood rivalries.
I can't wait to see Scorpius' reaction to his father's causal friendship/ground laying for future relationship with the mother of his school enemies...
I was so glad to see this chapter! I want more! Soon! Please!
Sacrifice for the sake of love is a noble intention, but the price of the result is usually high.Category: Completed Short Stories
*strangled cry*
I'm going with the Draco and Ginny changed destiny, Voldie died, so did Harry, everyone else was safe, then when all was said and done decided that they were indeed madly in love, got married for real and populated the world with zillions of pink-haired babies...
Winner of "Best Draco Malfoy" at the Spring 2007 D/G Fic Exchange! “The Tower is a card about war, a war between the structures of lies and the lightning flash of truth. It stands for false concepts and institutions that we take for real. You can expect to be shaken up, to be blinded by a shocking revelation. It sometimes takes that to see a truth that one refuses to see.”Category: Long and Completed
Loved it. You always write the most wonderful epics. This one is no exception. I loved how Draco knew instinctively that he could trust her and he went with it. He desperately needed to unburden his soul, and he also needed someone to help save his soul - he found both in Ginny. I was glad to see that the beginning of the marriage was not all sunlight and roses, but that things do work out in the end. *happy sigh*
In order for Draco to regain control of his assets after the war, he is required to marry. For Draco, this can mean only one witch - Pansy Parkinson. Who, you may ask is the Ministry liason for both Malfoy and Parkinson? Ginny Weasley.Category: Works in Progress
I can already tell that this is going to be a fun ride, well, maybe not for Draco (*pats him*), but it will be for me! The poor dear, he just has no clue does he?
The dialog is crisp and witty and completely brilliant. It's going to be very amusing and I can't wait to see more!
Draco watches his wife singing a lullaby to their child.Category: Completed Short Stories
That was so sweet!
Author's Response: Thanks :D
A cold night, a warm embrace, an unforgettable moment.Category: Completed Short Stories
He showed her everything. What they didn’t get to the first day, after flying kites and riding boats and feeding swans, they did the next day, and the next. She realized, after spending seemingly endless weeks with him, that she didn’t want to go home, but go home she must.Category: Works in ProgressTen years have passed. They’ll always have Paris.
I don't know why I resisted before, but it was awfully silly of me. I read the whole story last night and found myself drawn in completely. I nearly died when I realized I was at the end with Lily crying over a bleeding Scorpius. I do hope you update soon because I'm dying to see what happens next!
Author's Response: I\'m so glad you began reading it! It\'s such a nice surprise for me, because I read and love your stories, and so I\'m glad you\'re enjoying mine! I should be updating relatively soon!
Ginny makes a brave attempt to get on with her life after she splits from Draco by going on a date with Oliver Wood, but finds it's not as easy as she hopes.Category: Completed Short Stories
I have always loved this. I'm so glad you decided to post it here so everyone else can enjoy it too!
*DH SPOILERS* Draco and Ginny discover that it is never too late to find true love.Category: Long and Completed
You're killing me here!
*snuggles Draco* Poor boy, going from the highest high to his angriest low in the span of a few hours over something that isn't true. He's going to feel like an arse when he discovers the truth. I just worry that he won't give Gin a chance to explain herself.
I really like Ellen. She's a no nonsense kind of gal and she's on to Ginny's feelings. Loved it. Gin is going to be quite put out at Draco's attitude change when she returns methinks.
I can't wait for the next chapter :)
Author's Response:
Yeah, Draco is being put through the ringer, but it's his own fault really. He and Ginny will meet again in the next chapter, so you will get to see what happens between them soon enough! :)
I like Ellen too. She's much more perceptive than Ginny realized, isn't she? I'll try to update soon! Thanks for the comments!
I hate Justine. She rivals Harry in 3K for my contempt! And that is saying a lot.
I feel so sorry for Draco. He's suffered so much in his life while Ginny has apparently had it pretty good. Justine isn't something I'd foist off on my worst enemy...
A very interesting start to say the least. I can't wait to see where you are going to go with this.
YAYAYA for you writing again!
Author's Response: Well, Justine had to be bad enough to drive Draco out of Malfoy Manor to set up the rest of the story, so it's no wonder you hate her! And things haven't all been wonderful for Ginny, either--there's more that happened to her that you won't find out until later. Anyway, I'm glad that you are enjoying the story so far, and I hope that you stay interested once I manage to get the next chapter out. I'm as excited as you are to be writing again! Thank you for the review!
Why do I get this feeling that Ginny is going to give Draco the strength to stand up to Justine? She's in serious need of being put in her place (preferably another planet or her grave).
I'm glad to see that Draco has come down off his high horse long enough to enjoy Ginny's company. I'm sure he's surprising himself.
Ginny is doing Draco wonders, challenging him in ways no one has in years and years. And she's finally found a friend who can understand her.
I can't wait to see more!
Author's Response: You're right that Ginny and Draco haven't had friends like each other in a very long time (if ever!). The pace of their relationship will pick up quite a bit as the story progresses. I hope you keep on enjoying it! Thanks for the review!
Draco is so adorable with his attempts at wooing Ginny. He's finally in love with someone and she has no idea what to make of him. But I have this sneaky suspension that he will win her over, because he's determined.
I can't wait to see what surprises Draco has in store for Gin next :)
Author's Response: Oh, yes, Draco will Ginny over in the end. (You know me too well to think anything else, right?) She just needs to get over the shock of it all first. Thanks for the review!
Well, I'm very glad they got things sorted out. Draco is such a petulant little child. I guess he never out grew that. It's a good thing Ginny is a strong woman because a lesser woman would have given up on him. I think it's adorable that she asked him to ask her to marry him. I *loved* that. And she does have a point: they aren't getting any younger.
I can't wait to see the family's reaction at the wedding. That should be a hoot!
Author's Response:
Yes, Draco can be petulant, but now he has Ginny to sort him out. I'm glad that you liked those things! I do too. You'll get to see some of the families' reactions in the next chapter, so you shouldn't have to wait too long. Thanks for the review!
