YEAH!! GO GINNY! That was totally wicked!! *hand motions* That was perfect! Except maybe the bring it on part... reminded me of the movie. But still AWESOME! I really felt like I was right there along with Ginny. You could actually FEEL the tension and anger running through the scene. Gosh. You described that feeling of overcoming your fear so well. I've had so many moments like that (I'm on the diving team at my school and there are moments with difficult dives where you're like "Okay. Just do it.") and I think you totally nailed it.
I love that you included both Hermione (you've done a very good job at keeping her very Hermione-ish by the way) and Blaise. Both of them seem very well thought out.
Draco, is another very well-written character. He seems to be one of those people you love to hate. Or I should say loathe? His character seems really iffy because on one hand he seems like the biggest arrogant prat in the entire world but then you also get to see that he, in his own way, respects Ginny and doesn't want to see her physically hurt. I still don't clearly see how they're actually going to.. fall for each other, but I'm sure you'll do a great job of it later on :D
It was all in all, extremely well written. XD My hat off to you. If I had a hat... PLEASE UPDATE WHENEVER YOU CAN!! The sooner the better of course ;)

She is so difficult to pin down, as a character, and sometimes, what people do to her in fics really bothers me, so that is just a big relief! And also for your comments re: over coming your fears! I was afraid that I over did it or maybe didn\'t do it enough, but I just thought of what runs through my head when I do the thing that terrifies me the most (speaking in public), and tried to put that on paper.

I love Ginny's bravery and defiance but I somewhat wish that she would be a bit more aggressive or wittier in her arguments. But I understand that Draco kind of knocks her off balance.
I think you wrote Blaise's character really really well. He's almost exactly as you would expect him to be in the books. Nice job.

Author's Response: I also wish that Ginny could be a little wittier when it comes to their arguments...but unfortunately, I\'m not so good with writing that kind of dialogue. I do my best, but it\'s not one of my strengths.

I liked that you added Claire back into the mix. Her reaction to the Howler just seemed to make Ginny seem even stronger and stubborn and brave.
And then, the race scene was awesome! I can't believe how well she did considering she had a nearly broken broom against supposedly the latest model that Draco was riding.
Speaking of Draco, you've made him so incredibly complex. He's so... *hand motions* First he's all superior and sneering and then he's enraged and then evil and dangerous and then impassive and then caring and teasing and on and on. I love it when he's so multi-dimensional instead of just plain evil. Gets boriong the other way haha.
Blaise is also like that. Maybe not that extreme but still. He basically called off Draco but then he didn't see Ginny about her injuries. It was kind of odd but I guess that left the window open for Draco ;)

Author's Response: Thanks! I\'m relieved that you liked the race scene, I was terrified that it would be going too far, come across as cheesy or make Draco a completely unlikeable character. I\'ve been trying to develop his character from mostly Ginny\'s perspective, so that the reader would be influenced by her perceptions of him, and it\'s been a pretty interesting experiement, because he\'s always keeping her guessing, so it\'s fun to write. And I\'m glad you picked up on the Blaise thing - that he interfered, but he didn\'t even ask the poor girl how she was! Even Cho Chang, who is more about complimenting her and asking her to a party, while she\'s standing there with a broken wrist! It kind of reveals how ridiculous they are, even the ones Ginny sees as \"different\" from the rest of them...

Wow. I absolutely adore this story! Everything just seems to fit so right. At first I thought the Hermione/Snape pairing would be awkward but you're really making it work! I loved the scene where he quizzed her to keep her from getting upset. It seemed like it just confused her more but it was still genius.
Ron and Harry are such dim-witted arses. I can't believe that 1) they would do that to Hermione and Ginny in the first place and 2) they just don't get it. *gahh* I feel like punching them. I think Ginny should punch one of them. I would definitely lol.
The Draco and Ginny scene at the end was also great. I was starting to wonder when he would really start showing how he felt.
