So Scorpiu tries to be in denial, he? Well, I'm glad that he finally comes to terms with himself and admits that his feelings didn't go anywhere. He definitely seems more mature than Draco was at this age.

Why are men scared to admit they are romantics?

Also how is it that Ginny continues to show up where Scorpius is?

It is sad how Ginny continues to visit places where she was happy with Draco once. And now we know that Draco chose to follow his family demands and expectations over being with Ginny, we already know she would never agree to be his mistress.

One more question - is there a reason why all the girls (except Rose) are under their mothers' last names?

Author's Response: Scorpius is different from Draco in some crucial ways (and certainly different from how Draco was at the same age, although Draco is actually 19 in the vision of the past that Scorpius saw.) And you're right about Ginny-- she couldn't resist visiting a place where she was once so happy meeting Draco, which is why she saw Scorpius there. We'll find out more about where she and Harry were headed in the next chapter. We do see in the vision where the breaking point really was between Draco and Ginny-- he wouldn't give up the family demands (although we don't yet know what those were), and she wouldn't accept the mistress role, which was all he was willing, or able, to offer her.

Actually, there is a reason why so many of the girls have their mothers' last names. It's an old pureblood wizarding tradition, although all of the families don't follow it. The Weasleys obviously don't, and of course Harry wouldn't. I'm not sure if Draco and Astoria would have done it, but they never had a daughter, so it didn't come up.

You know, i kinda wish that Scorpius found himself a nice girl and tried out a real relationship. It's sad that he decided that if not Ginny then nobody and just gets into sexual relationships.

Is Nora in love with him?

Is Draco trying to sabotage Harry's broom business? Also it infuriates me that although he realizes that he failed to build a proper father-son relationship with Scorpius, he does nothing to try fix something of it.

Does James know about Scorpius's obsession with his mother?

And Alec Zabini was a nice drop of honey in the middle of all the sadness.

That was just SOME of the questions and you probably can't answer them too... Oh, well...

Author's Response: I think that Scorpius knows he just can't do it right now, and that he'd only end up hurting any girl who truly wanted a serious relationship. No, Nora isn't in love with him, although there are times when I think she wishes deep down that he was capable of giving her more than he can give. Now, you KNOW I can't tell you about what Draco is doing right now... but no, James doesn't actually know. Scorpius is just feeling very paranoid on that subject. And I love Alec too! He's such a trip. :) More soon.

I forgot how sad this story is. And it looks like it's getting sadder and sadder.

Scorpius really needs Alec Zabini for a friend. He can give him somehing that Albus can't - an escape and fun.

The way you ended the chapter - I think Scorpius became sick.

And this is all so sad (as I said before) that I think he is going to die. And then perhaps his spirit can enter his father and be with Ginny that way. or perhaps I'm completely nuts.

AND NOW I WILL CHECK EVERY DAY FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER BECAUSE I HAVE TO KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS THE THIRD MALFOY TRAIT!!!!!

Author's Response: Well... I think that MIaG has a lot of sad aspects, especially at this point in the fic, but don't worry about Scorpius being sick. He isn't! It does read that way, though. He's just feeling very off balance right now. He's fine in the morning. :) Scorp does need Alec as his friend, and there are some good developments in the friendship arena in the very next chapter, too. More soon...

Those past two chapters are so melancholic. I want to cry for Scorpius. It's terrible when you can't even share your burdens with anyone. Though I think Alec might know or guess a little bit more about what is happenning to his friend.

I'm so angry with Draco. Your only child asks permittion to go home and you don't even ask what happened? I suppose there will be some dealings going in the manor during the weekend, possibly evolving around Ginny, but the fact the he shows no concern for his son is really creepy. It's like he decided that he is a bad father and his son hates him so he just gave up and doesn't even try to fix his relationship with Scorpius perceiving it as doomed.

I was thinking a little more and decided that Draco's concern over Scorpius liking Lily doesn't nececcarily mean that she is his daughter. It could be the fact that he was afraid that if Scorp and Lily got serious, it would farther sabotage his own chances with Ginny, not to mention the unatractivness of the idea of being related to Harry. Also he might be concerned that Scorpius's life doesn't turn out like his, as Harry would never agree for his child to marry a Malfoy.

Well, never mind my ideas, but I'm so curious how it turnes out.

By the way, I remember Draco commenting on dragon pox in one of the earlier chapters. Is he sick?

Author's Response: I know (about the melancholic part)... I think that might be part of the reason why it took so long to get these posted! But I do think that Scorpius has been pulled out of his depression, both by his friends and his own healing powers. Yep, Draco is not a great dad here. BUT... in the context of the reality of this fic, that's just how he is at this point. This isn't always where he will be, though. We're going to find out a lot more about Lily, and also how her story relates to the lives of everyone else in MIAG-world. I guarantee that the Lily story isn't as simple as it seems! ;) No, Draco doesn't have dragon pox (and neither does anybody else), but we haven't seen the last of it. and remember that I ALWAYS love your ideas! Much more frequent updates from now on.

I just had another crazy idea. In one of the chapters, when Scorpius visions Draco and Ginny in Romania and Ginny says that if she leaves with Draco, Harry will have custody over Lily (who is still underage). Maybe Draco is trying to do something to make it impossible for Harry to remain in custody of Lily because he hopes that then Ginny will finally leave Harry.

I just depend on reviews to gauge the audience, and no reviews just seemed like a huge cry of, "No one likes this." Oh, wow!

The ending was so romantic!

You know, I never pictured Draco as someone who will be able to give up magic. But reading this I just thought that Draco is a very intense person, he loves and hates with passion and with everything that is in him. In a situation that you created, the only thing that is left in Draco's world that he cares about is Ginny. So yes, it actually is very believable that he is prepared to give up everything even magic if Ginny is by his side.

Author's Response: Thanks! :) I was actually thinking about how this is really a different Draco from the one in DDD. As he says himself at the very end, his development was arrested in many ways at the age of sixteen, and he has incredible unexpressed resentment against the magical world because of the role that he was forced to take with the DE's. DDD's Draco doesn't really have that, and I don't think *that* Draco would be very likely to give up his magic. Also, FFF's Draco has lost Narcissa, and he honestly doesn't have any ties left to the magical world. The only way for him to keep his freedom (and his money and possessions) is to leave that world, and Ginny will be with him. But yes, it takes a lot to get him to do it, and it's going to be harder than he thinks. I hope everyone likes the happy D/G ending! :)

Author's Response: I'm glad you like it so far. :) I seem to do that a lot with Ginny, where she doesn't really think things through. I think that's sort of a Gryffindor trait - to charge in bravely without considering all the facts. LOL. However, in this case, she's based on the Hana Kimi character, who is very much on the clumsy side.
