NEW, REVISED EDITION!! The Last Chapter. See what you think of this version! :)Category: Long and Completed
By the spring of her fifth year, Ginny Weasley had almost convinced herself that she didn’t really still want Harry Potter. But when he finally kissed her one Hogsmeade weekend in June, she couldn’t resist the power of all those years of waiting and watching and hoping and praying. Six months later, her dream has finally come true… except that Draco Malfoy just won’t leave her alone. Strange things are afoot, and once Ginny starts to figure out what’s really going on, nothing is as simple as it seems…
I was wondering what Molly was up to and now I know. Geez, of course Harry would do the noble thing, but if I was Ginny I'd be more than pissed off. What a horrid thing to learn, even if she did like the guy - which she doesn't.
Oho. I really don't blame her for reacting this way. I would do the same thing, especially since Harry was already hesitating. I do wonder what it was all about, and I think that Pansy and Draco also have one of those bond things.
Oooo, I think Draco and Ginny are going to try and use each other for the same thing!
Poor girl. It's very easy to get swept up in those moments, and she obviously did. This was definitely a case of Ginny biting off more than she can chew. It's a shame she left before he could make her really understand.
I'm so tired, so I'm going to stop here. Still loving this story though. Certainly enough to forgo my sleep. It just gets more interesting with every chapter.
“What are you, Weasley, a sphinx?”
Haha, I love this line.
And I knew it! I knew Draco and Pansy also had a binding spell on them. That makes me feel so much better. I feel like my guesses in DDD never get anywhere, but I actually got one right in this story, lol.
Oh, yes, and I love the fact that Draco was able to pick out George while Harry never could. Clearly, Harry is so slef-absorbed that he doesn't take time to notice those finer details. I've always seen Draco as someone who could, and I'm glad you used that. Also, I love the fact that Draco is still a teenager here. He hasn't quite yet learned to block everything, and you showed that really well with his hands being the given away, and oncehe was caught out by her he completely lost it.
So much going on in this chapter! Marie is the same Marie from DDD, right? It makes me curious reading this story, because I do see a few similarities with your other fanfic. It's like you're exploring different possibilities in each world. Draco and Ginny are essentially the same, just choosing different options -- like they're alternatives. It's all very fascinating.
I need to get back to my work, but I suppose one more chapter can't hurt. Trust you to leave it on a cliffhanger. :P
Hahaha, way to go, Ginny. I like that you brought Tonks into this. She's such an under-used character, and I found that whole conversation really lovely.
Well, this was certainly an action-packed chapter. I did't believe for a moment that Draco had actually turned on Ginny; it just didn't seem in his nature in this story. I'm glad I was not wrong. I just hope Harry and Ron won't be pig-headed about it.
You write emotion so well, and you also take things further by actually writing the consequences of events on the characters as well. So many people have awful things happen to their characters and don't bother to explain the difficulty it is to get over it (and I know I've done that myself in a few of my fics), but it is a nice change to see a realistic portrayal of events and their consequences.
What the heck? I don't know what's going on. *sighs* What is this chain thing Dumbledore gave to Draco? And why do I get the feeling they're all suddenly going to wake up and realise none of this was real. There's too many songs about dreams in this fic for my liking.
I knew it was going to be a dream. I'm pretty sure I read at least some of the The Bat-Bogeys Cometh some time ago, so I think I should probably read that again to actually make sense of everything. *laughs*
Anyway, this was a very good story. At first, when it was properly revealed that everything had been a dream, I thought that Ginny had simply been using escapism to deny her reality. It would make sense, considering everything, but having Loki and Dumbledore involved seems to suggest something much more serious was going on. Obviously, he was trying to put ideas into their heads to change things. But, of course, when you're working with Loki you can't always trust that you're going to get what you want exactly as you want.
You're right that this wasn't the fluffiest of endings, but it was the right ending. I don't think it would have worked any other way. Especially since this is more of a contained story between your two other fanfics -- which I shall certainly get around to reading when I get time.
The sequel to The Bat-Bogeys Cometh, and the second in the trilogy. In the summer of 1997, the entire wizarding world hovers above the abyss of its own destruction. The Death Eaters have escaped Azkaban and killed dozens of students on the Hogwarts Express, and the school has become a fortress of fear. No-one knows what happened to Draco Malfoy... except for Ginny. But there is more to the story than anybody dreams, and Ginny cannot resist going to Sirius Black’s grave on a long, hot summer evening, and as she tries to unravel the mystery of his life and death, she falls into a dream of the last days at Twelve Grimmauld Place with him, two years before. And when Ginny wakes to the reality of 1997 Hogwarts, she begins to understand why she is remembering all of these long-gone events... because although her last chance to save the wizarding world from the doom that awaits it lay in that summer past, there are powers to whom nothing is impossible—for a price.Category: Works in Progress
I haven't even begun to read this chapter because I saw that this was a Work in Progress. My first thought was "Horrors!", and then I saw that you hadn't updated in quite a few years and I felt quite crushed. Crushed, I tell you.
I am still going to read this, but I really, really hope you do continue it at some point, even if it is not at the moment. I've been enjoying reading this series a lot and would like to see how it ends. I fully appreciate the feeling of 'moving on' from fanfics, or just losing interest, but I would hate to see this join the ranks of stagnant sequels. It seems like all the fics I actually enjoy reading are abandoned (or at least their sequels are), which is a shame. So I hope you do continue this.
Author's Response: Actually, I was thinking of an idea the other day, and who knows, it might even happen... it involves drastically condensing this fic and then finishing it, and also finishing the 3rd one in the series, *Man in Black*. So you never know. :)
Phew, that was a long chapter. Sadly, I've run out of reading time, so this will be a short review. But I really liked this! Will be back to read more.
*Complete fic, 4/4 chapters posted* When Ginny enlists Draco's help to teach her how to entice her Ravenclaw crush, she learns more than just technique. *prize fic for Sarea*Category: Long and Completed
I read this a while back and discovered it again today thanks to a friend. It's one of those "Why am I reading this?" fics for me (not a fan of smut), but I still read it. That says something for you. ^_~

Very cute. ^_^
Ginny’s Valentine’s Day has an unexpected end.Category: Completed Short Stories
So cute! Though you really took me by surprise having Draco be her boyfriend.
Draco Malfoy, cynic extraordinaire, on his least favourite holiday of the year. Add one feisty Weaslette and way too much pink for his taste, and the results may be surprising. One-shot!Category: Completed Short Stories
hehehe, I've read this before and it's still as cute as it was the last time. Loved it! Draco is adorable, and Ginny is crazy and fun. My favourite kind of combination for a humour/romance.
Hahahahahaha, loved it! Very amusing and witty. I do love a petulant, egotistical Draco.
Ginny Weasley finds that she can hide, but she can't run.Category: Completed Short Stories
Hahahaha, this was cute. You write Draco so very seductive. I got shivers just reading, especially the lazy way he said the chant. Anyway, wonderful story here. You had me worried for a bit, but the ending turned out very romantic and sweet.
“So do you get manicures or are your nails just naturally like that?” Ginny could have kicked herself for saying the absolutely first thing that came to mind. One-Shot.Category: Completed Short Stories
I'm so sure I've read this before, but perhaps not. I get so confused with DG stories now.
Anyway, this was cute. I love the fact that she just blurted out that question, though we never did get to find out if he got his nails manicured or not. The ending, of course, was brilliant. I'm sure a kiss from Draco could stop any girl's mind from working. *laughs*
Draco Malfoy inadvertently comes to Ginny Weasley's assistance during a game of Quidditch. The reverberations from his actions will rock his world for some time to come. Snarky Humor and Romance.Category: Long and Completed
I read this a long time ago at Portkey, but I simply adore your writing and couldn't resist reading this again.
*sigh* You do write Draco so beautifully. I love his snarky ways.
I had forgot how short these chapters are. THIS is why your stories were always so addicting. They make me want more!
Ooh, I remember how tense I got when I first read that dream sequence. Beautifully written, and I love how you're going through the PTSD symptons.
LOL! I love that last line. Pure class.
