Ps. Thank you for liking this fic enough that you want to read the whole thing before I've posted it! This is going to sound a bit vain and arrogant, but I must confess that this story is probably my favorite DG fic that I've written even though it's definitely not my most popular. I'm not exactly sure why - I think there's something about the tree itself that is oddly resonant with me. Anyways....thank you!
